Top Tier Baseball Welcomes Batbusters to the Family
Will launch Top Tier Batbusters this season
McCook, IL: Today, Top Tier Baseball, one of the nation’s elite travel baseball programs, announced that they have added Batbusters Baseball to the Top Tier organization. Top Tier Batbusters are located in Springfield, IL. Top Tier has had a presence there in the past, having players from Springfield and its surrounding areas over the years. Adding the Top Tier Batbusters will now give them a full time presence and allow more players from the area to benefit from the Top Tier developmental process. These two programs have seen tremendous success in the state of Illinois. With this alliance, both programs are looking forward to continued success in developing elite baseball talent throughout the state and placing their players in college programs.
When discussing the new partnership Batbusters board member, Michael Carter said, “As a grass roots organization, Batbuster coaches have prided themselves and focused on not only developing our players to be leaders on and off the field but to also provide our players and families with experiences, opportunities and exposure that they might not otherwise get. Partnering with a nationally recognized and proven organization like Top Tier and being able to share ideas and philosophies with Griffin and others on the Top Tier staff, allows us to continue that mission and help take our players to the next level”
Top Tier CEO, Todd Fine had this to say about the new partnership; “We have always taken pride in developing players in regards to talent and how the game is played. Expanding into central Illinois and bringing the Batbusters over to Top Tier allows us to reach more players and work to develop them and place them into college programs when the time comes. I am excited about having them represent our brand, and brand of baseball.”
High School Director for Top Tier, Griffin Phelps, said “Adding another Illinois based program that shares our passion for player development is great. We have a shared vision of success and what that looks like for our players.”
The board president for the Batbusters, Matt Huebner, had this to say about joining Top Tier. "Batbuster Baseball has experienced an awesome amount of success over the years. This new alignment will ensure that this continues for seasons to come. Our coaches and players will be provided with excellent mentorship from the Top Tier staff and our players will be given outstanding opportunities through this affiliation. This is an exciting time for our organization."
Of the partnership between these two programs, Top Tier Youth Director Seth Kenny said, “Our goal of bringing the best players together in the state of Illinois continues with the addition of a great program the Springfield, IL area. Not only are we bringing in a group of really good players, but great coaches and families as well.”
The Batbusters Baseball Club was established in 2016. Their mission is to provide kids with the opportunity to compete and experience youth baseball at the most competitive level. The Springfield Batbusters organization has five different age groups, 9u, 10u, 12u, 13u, and 16u.
Top Tier Baseball was founded in 2004 by CEO, Todd Fine and is located in McCook, IL. They also have Top Tier Roos in Tampa, FL as well as Top Tier Gamers in Anaheim, CA. Over the past 13 years they have placed over 500 players in college programs, produced 67 MLB draft picks, 9 Major Leaguers, Gatorade Players of the Year, multiple Under Armour All-Americans as well as USA Baseball National Team players at multiple age levels. They have over 50 teams, ages 9-18 years old, including 5 fast pitch teams. They have a rich tradition of winning, with 4 National titles, 13 AABC Connie Mack State Tournament championships, and two trips to the AABC Connie Mack World Series.
