On June 15th the Top Tier 12u Navy team set out for Omaha, the site of the College World Series and a baseball mecca. Top Tier came out hot out of the gate getting two pool play wins. The score of the first game was 9-2 in favor of Top Tier against CJ Majestic-Kurtz. The boys came out swinging and playing good defense, which is always a key to winning games. The second pool play game was against Lobos baseball from San Antonio, Texas. This was a heavy weight bout through and through. Top Tier gave the ball to Rodney Lester, the southpaw out of Berwyn. Rodney threw a gem only allowing two runs while getting the win.

Going 2-0 in pool play while only allowing 4 runs earned Top Tier the number 5 seed. Tier opened bracket play with a bye and opened up in the quarter finals against Odessa Rage out of Odessa, Texas. The score ended up 4-2 in favor of Top Tier.

In the semi-final game, another southpaw by the name of Tomas Valincius took the hill and gave the Odessa Rage everything they could handle. Tomas attacked hitters with a three pitch mix throwing any pitch in any count. Top Tier once again pulled out the victory by a score of 9-1 against DND Sports.

The championship game was between two Illinois teams, Top Tier Navy and Illinois Axis. Top Tier got out to an early lead and never looked back. Another lefty got the call for the Championship game in Kiefer Tarnoki. Kiefer threw well and handed the ball over to Chris Bienek in relief to shut the door. The Championship game saw good pitching, good defense and timely hitting, a recipe for a win.
