Congrats on your new commitment! What is it about Prairie State that excites you the most?
The thing that excites me the most about Prairie State is their baseball program. Coach Hernandez was a great coach for summer ball. I am excited to play for Coach Hernandez at the next level.
You have been playing with Top Tier since before you started high school. Tell us about your experience and what it means to wear the TT.
My experience with Top Tier was unbelievable. Top Tier taught me that if you truly want to achieve your goals, the only person in the way is yourself. Wearing the TT means that you will do whatever it takes to achieve your goals.
Talk a little bit about the recruiting process and how everything went down.
I had the pleasure of having Coach Hernandez as my coach for the summer. I worked hard all season and Coach Hernandez noticed. We kept in touch during the off season, and that is when he offered to schedule a visit to Prairie State.
What were some of the priorities you looked at when deciding where you wanted to commit?
I wanted to do what was best for me. When deciding where I wanted to go for college baseball was not an option for other schools. That was the biggest thing for me. I’m not done yet and I am not letting baseball go anytime soon.
What challenges do you see ahead of you before you get to campus?
I think the biggest challenge I am faced with is continuing to work hard throughout the off-season, and making myself a better player.
What are some of the goals you have set for yourself as a college baseball player?
I have set many goals for myself but the main goal is to develop and continue to grow as a player. Another goal I have set for myself is to go 110% on everything that I do.
Is there anybody you would like to give a shout-out or thanks to?
I would like to thank Coach Hernandez for giving me this opportunity and also for pushing my limits during the summer. I would like to thank Coach Griff for always pushing me as a player and showing me that if you want results you have to work for them. Finally, I would like to thank Coach Seth for giving me the opportunity to play for Top Tier 4 years ago. I don’t know where I would be as a baseball player without Top Tier.
