Congrats on your new commitment! What is it about University of St. Thomas that excites you the most?
The overall atmosphere of the school is awesome and i just love everything about it.
You have spent your entire high school career with Top Tier. Tell us about your experience and what the program means to you.
The last 4 years with Top Tier have easily been some of the best years of my life. I've met and become friends with so many amazing guys and the friendships I have made will last for forever. The program also helped me not only become a better baseball player, but a better person. They shaped me to be the best person I could be on and off the field.
Talk a little bit about the recruiting process and how everything went down.
Originally I had talked to a number of schools some as just a Pitcher, some as just an Outfielder, and some as a two way. Right around the beginning of the school year I visited St.Thomas and sat down with Coach Olean and talked about everything. A month later, after weighing my options, I felt St. Thomas was the best fit for me.
What were some of the priorities you looked at when deciding where you wanted to commit?
A main priority was the idea of me coming in and being able to play as a freshman whether it was on the mound or in the field. Deep down I did try and stay a two way, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to stay a two way player at St. Thomas.
What challenges do you see ahead of you before you get to campus?
I think being a freshman all over again may be tough, and just managing all the school and practice may be a challenge as well.
What are some of the goals you have set for yourself as a college baseball player?
A couple goals I have for myself would be to throw over 30 innings as a freshman and and be a starter in the outfield by the end of freshman year.
Is there anybody you would like to give a shout-out or thanks to?
I would like to thanks my parents for everything they have done for me. They sacrifice so much for me to be where I am today, and I couldn't have done it without them. I also would like to thank all my coaches I've had for pushing me to be great and never settling for anything less. I appreciate all the wisdom and advice you have given me and I will take it with me for the rest of my life.
