2019 MIF Brendan Carrane Commits to Saint Louis!

Congrats on your new commitment! What is it about St. Louis University that excites you the most?

The thing that Excites me most is the coaching staff. I am really looking forward to learning new things from the coach’s especially Coach Hawkins.

You have been with Top Tier since your younger youth days. Tell us about your experience growing up Top Tier and what it means to wear the TT?

Top  Tier has  been a second family for me. To have the greatest coaches that push me to get better and better every single time I step on the field means so much. To wear the TT around is awesome. Top Tier is one of the elite program’s around the whole country and to show people who I play for is an honor.

Talk a little bit about the recruiting process and how everything went down.

It all started last summer after the PBR Future Games event down in Indianapolis. A few schools reached out to me right after that event and then Saint Louis reached out to me in the beginning of fall. Coach Hawkins and I talked  a lot the last couple of months. I went on a few visits and I loved the coaching staff and more importantly the school.

What were some of the priorities you looked at when deciding where you wanted to commit?

A couple priorities I was looking for was a good school academically and also if the program was going to be on the rise or if they were going downhill. Saint Louis fit both of my standards because it is a great school academically and they are also on the rise. They are leading the A10 conference right now and are currently 14-1 in conference play.

What challenges do you see ahead of you before you get to campus?

Some challenges before I get to campus will be getting to know people out there. I will have a few of my Top Tier  guys down there already, but getting to know more people will most likely be the biggest challenge. I do not think it will be very difficult because I have been doing it my whole life.

What are some of the goals you have set for yourself as a college baseball player?

My goals as a college baseball player are to be the best teammate and player I can be. I want to be able to play baseball as long as I possible. Saint Louis is a perfect fit for me to do that.  I also expect be a key player early on in my career as a Billiken.

Is there anybody you would like to give a shout-out or thanks to?

I would like to first say thanks to my parents because without them I would not be in the spot I am today as a player and more importantly as a person. I would like to thank all my coaches that have pushed me to get better and better everyday Coach Fine, Coach Plante, Coach Jay Darnell, Coach Griff, Coach Garza, and lastly Coach Colletta.
