Congrats on your new commitment! What is it about Aurora University that excites you the most?
Going into Aurora University I am especially excited to be coached by a great coaching staff dedicated to improving their players mentally and physically and also being surrounded by teammates who have the same goal as me, to get better each and every day.
You have played with Top Tier Roos since their inception. Talk about what that experience has been like, helping put the program in the national spotlight and what it means to wear the TT’s.
Playing for Top Tier will definitely be an unforgettable experience. The players and coaches whom I was surrounded with had pushed me to be the best player I could possibly be. Playing at all of the big showcases and tournaments while being watched by so many college coaches just shows how strong the program really is.
Talk a little bit about the recruiting process and how everything went down.
The university had communicated with me awhile back and again this year and that's how it all started. I started to talk with the baseball coaches and a few weeks later I was on campus touring the school, and eventually committing.
What were some of the priorities you looked at when deciding where you wanted to commit?
AU has an excellent nursing program and great baseball program. Before I decided to commit, I first wanted to make sure that the school had my major and good academics. Also while touring different schools I wanted to find a school that I knew I would be comfortable at.
What challenges do you see ahead of you before you get to campus?
Just adjusting to college life and being so far from my friends and family would probably be one of my biggest challenges going into Aurora, but I am more than ready to get on campus.
What are some of the goals you have set for yourself as a college baseball player?
As a college baseball player my goal is to grow as a player mentally and physically and become a major asset for the team. Also to work my hardest and get stronger each day to help the team win games and championships.
Is there anybody you would like to give a shout-out or thanks to?
I would like to thank Coach Jason for helping me along the way and most importantly I would like to thank my parents. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be here in the position I am right now. I owe it all to them.
