2020 MIF Alonzo Raigosa Commits to Blackhawk

Congrats on your new commitment! What is it about Blackhawk CC that excites you the most?

Thanks. I’m looking forward to wearing black and yellow and playing shortstop for Blackhawk CC and winning ball games

You have been playing with Top Tier since your sophomore year. Tell us about your experience and what it means to wear the TT’s.

My experience with Top Tier has been great! I love playing for Top Tier because they have treated me as their own since the first day I joined. What it means to play for Top Tier is playing with an edge when you step on the diamond. When you wear Top Tier across your jersey every team wants to beat you.

Share one of your favorite Top Tier memories.

One of my favorite memories at Top Tier would be heading to an early game and Coach Griff didn't think I was ready so he raised the volume of his speakers to the max and played heavy metal all the way to the field complex.

Talk a little bit about the recruiting process and how everything went down.
The recruiting process was fun. I played in tournaments where there were multiple scouts watching my team play each summer and fall. When I finally found the right fit, it was an easy decision.

What were some of the priorities you looked at when deciding where you wanted to commit?

My priorities when deciding on a college were how comfortable did I feel, was there a chance to earn playing time right away, and how I got along with the coaching staff.

What challenges do you see ahead of you before you get to campus?

I really have no challenges heading to campus outside of showing the team and coaches what I know I am capable of doing. I'm focused and locked in, ready to play.

What are some of the goals you have set for yourself as a college baseball player?

My goal as a college baseball player is to be the best player on the diamond every time I set foot between the lines.

If you could give one piece of advice to all of the younger players coming up, what would it be?

My advice for all the young players coming up is to stay focus on baseball because it’s a long process.

Is there anybody you would like to give a shout-out or thanks to?

Yea I would like to  shout-out Garzy, Griff and my man Pancho
