2021 C Ian Moller Commits to LSU

Congrats on your new commitment! What is it about Louisiana State that excites you the most?

A chance to win and go to Omaha every year. I also loved the atmosphere there, the fans are really in love with the Tigers.

Last year was your first with Top Tier. Tell us about your experience and what it means to wear the TT?

Loved being around the players and coaches. The winning atmosphere and competitiveness that is expected also brought the best out of me.

Talk a little bit about the recruiting process and how everything went down.

The process really heated up over the summer in Georgia at the WWBA. I got a chance to visit LSU a few times over the past year and it just felt right. Like I was meant to be there.

What were some of the priorities you looked at when deciding where you wanted to commit?

First thing I looked for was a good fit with academics and baseball. I also looked at having a chance of contributing to a program in anyway they need me, along with being a part of a winning tradition.

What challenges do you see ahead of you before you get to campus?

Being ready to play SEC baseball day 1. I have to improve my all around game and get better mentally.

What are some of the goals you have set for yourself as a college baseball player?

First goal is getting on the field and playing at LSU. That is a major goal. I also want to be part of a national championship team while in college. LSU has a rich tradition of titles and I'm excited to join that tradition.

Is there anybody you would like to give a shout-out or thanks to?
I first want to thank the staff at Top Tier for taking a chance on me and helping me fine tune my game along with pushing me to always be better. The players on on the TT team who accepted me as one of their own brothers. I would also like to thank Matt Gambill  a friend of my dads from the New Orleans area for helping me get in front of the LSU coaches. And finally, I would like to thank my family for all the support they give me as I follow my dreams. My mom is a great role model and one of my biggest fans.
