Impressive weekend to finish out the month of April from a slew of Top Tier alums. Most notably, Brendan Summerhill returns to the lineup and picks up where he left off. It looks as if Vytas Valincius is set to crush his season totals from last season. Liam Peterson does his thing on Friday against Arkansas with a career-high strikeout showing.
Week 11
It was an electric return for Brendan Summerhill (Arizona) after missing a full month due to an injury. On Wednesday, during a midweek against UT Arlington, Summerhill launched a 382-foot homer on the first pitch of his first at-bat. He hit it 104 mph over the right field wall. That was one of two hits he had on Wednesday. He played in one game against Texas Tech on Saturday and had another hit (2B) and drove in a pair. He's hitting .414 this season in 25 games of action.

Liam Peterson, thanks to a career-high 13 strikeouts, helped the Gators defeated Arkansas on Friday night by a 6-4 final. Peterson picked up win number seven on the season to improve to 7-2. It was a gritty, 114-pitch outing for the ace. He gave up three earned on five hits over six innings but proved once again why he's the Friday guy for Florida.

Vytas Valincius (Illinois) had three hits on the week and drove in two. Those two RBI were good enough to get him to 50 on the season. With that, he's the team leader in RBI. He's tied for his 2024 season total and there's still a few weeks to play in the regular season. He's hitting nearly .100 points better than a season ago, too.

Across four games, Smith had eight hits with half of those coming on Sunday alone against Bradley. A double and a pair knocked in helped UIC clinch the series on Sunday afternoon against the Braves.
