And just like that, the 2025 collegiate regular season has come to a close. Our alums have continued to make a statement, not just in the final week, but all season long. We've provided an update on our guys as we gear up for a busy end of May and June. Many of our alums are eyeing accolades, postseason titles and a berth to the NCAA Tournament, so we'll keep you updated as all of those things play out.
Week 14
Daniel Pacella (Illinois State) finished the season on a strong note with eight hits and two homers in the final week. He finishes the regular season with a .366 average, 20 homers and 59 knocked in. Quite the regular season for Pacella, which came to no surprise of anyone who has known Pacella long enough. Illinois State battles Indiana State in the MVC Conference Tournament for a chance to make a further postseason push.

Brendan Summerhill (Arizona) had a 2B and a trio of walks in the season finale against Houston. Summerhill finishes the 2025 regular season with a .390 average, and though it was a shortened season due to injury, Summerhill had an impactful year when he was in the lineup. Arizona now heads to the Big 12 tournament where it will square off against BYU or ASU.
Tomas Valincius (Virginia) capped his 2025 regular season with a win at Virginia Tech. He threw 6.2 innings, allowing one run on six hits. He improved his record to 5-1 with the win and earned himself a mention on the All-ACC Freshman Team. The Cavaliers will face Boston College or Notre Dame on Wednesday in the ACC Tournament.

Vytas Valincius (Illinois) finished his regular season with a couple of hits against Ohio State. He drove in a run in the second game of the series to bring his season RBI total to 50. Valincius hit .354 during the 2025 campaign and looks to continue swinging a hot bat in the Big Ten Tournament against Michigan and UCLA.

Mack Whitcomb had another great week, heading into the OVC Tournament. Whitcomb had two homers, a triple and nine knocked in, just a week after his second OVC P.O.W honors. Across the final four games of the regular season, he had 11 hits and brought his average up to .362. This week, Whitcomb and the Golden Eagles will face the winner of UT Martin and Lindenwood to start postseason play.

Florida has been on a tear as a squad lately, and though Liam Peterson might not have had the outing he wanted to finish the season on, he's been a big part of the Gators success. This past weekend against Alabama, Peterson went five innings with five hits and five runs allowed. The Gators would pick up another series win against Alabama and head into the SEC Tournament with the 10-seed. It'll be the Gators and Gamecocks in the third game of the SEC tourney.
