We're in the middle stages of the college baseball season, and our Top Tier alums are hitting their stride. Just ask Tomas Valincius who is turning in impressive outing after impressive outing. Or, take Jimmy Anderson at the JUCO ranks. He caught fire early on and has never lost his sizzle now nearing the end of March.
As the weather warms up across the country, we're seeing players get hot at the right time, too.
Here are the top performances from week six:
Tomas Valincius put together another dominant outing against Vanderbilt on Saturday. He fired seven innings while striking out 14 hitters. He did not allow an earned run, though two unearned came across. Valincius improved to 5-0 on the season with a 1.04 ERA as Mississippi State secured a 7-2 win in Starkville as part of a series sweep. He now ranks third in the SEC in innings pitched and is tied for the conference lead in wins.
