COACH OF THE YEAR
Joel Hawkins, Highland
Highland entered tournament play on a four-game losing streak, but Hawkins led the Bulldogs to the Class 3A state championship, the second in program history. The veteran coach has amassed more than 500 wins at the school.

Charlie Donovan, INF, Westmont, 5-11/180, Sr.
The Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year and University Michigan signee batted .483 this spring while tallying 33 RBI and 64 runs scored. The four-year varsity player led the Sentinels to two straight sectional titles and a third-place Class 2A finish in 2014.
