Two of the best baseball organizations have partnered up and have become an alliance. Top Tier baseball is based out of McCook, Illinois and Cali Gamers Baseball based out of La Palma, California. The Cali Gamers have changed their name to the Top Tier Gamers.
We spoke with Jason Garcia the owner of the Top Tier Gamers and asked him why the switch? Garcia told us he met Todd Fine the owner of Top Tier baseball this past summer and loved everything he is doing with his program. Garcia believes Fine and his staff have set the bar in the youth baseball world regarding development, training, mental toughness, respect and life skills. Garcia said the switch was very easy because Fine runs his program like him, based off his passion for the game of baseball. Garcia said he is always looking to surround himself around the best as he is always learning and continues to be a student of the process. Garcia said this alliance is special and will give more of our youth throughout the country an opportunity to experience the opportunities and greatness this program offers.
We got the opportunity to ask Garcia some questions to understand his teachings and his passion. We asked Garcia what did he like most about coaching his players? Garcia told us he has a special group of boys who eat, sleep and breathe academics and athletics. They train on and off the field like a collegiate student athlete. Their work ethic, dedication, discipline, respect, integrity, accountability and grit are a remarkable thing to see. These boys take pride in everything they do which is why they can compete with kids 2-3 years older than them. My players trust me and trust the process I provide to become a great person and a great athlete. There is no entitlement in my teachings and I hold every player accountable for their actions and we learn together as a team. I tell my players to be confident not cocky and stay humble.
Next, we wanted to know where he envisioned this program in the future? Garcia stated, “There are no limits for this program. You have two passionate owners who’s goals are the same. We want to stay focused on the goal which is developing top baseball talent. We want to send as many kids as we can to the collegiate level and if some make the professional level thats a bonus. The reality is not all of players are going to make it in baseball but if we can place some outstanding people in our society who have respect and know how to fight for the things they want in life we have done our job.”
Garcia continued to express how honored the Gamers organization is to partner with one of the best programs in the country. Garcia told us now you have a bigger organization that spreads from the east coast to the west coast that is full of truly baseball people that know what it takes to develop kids to the next level.
