Top Tier Alum: Marius Balandis got a start in the Semi's for the Reivers

Iowa Western has one National Championships in 2010, 2012, and 2014. This is the first time that the Reivers have lost in a Championship game. The Reivers lost 13-8 to Central Arizona in the Championship. Iowa Western finished with a great record going 52-11 overall. Marius Balandis, a top tier alum got to throw in the semi-final game vs. Navarro College where he didn't has his best stuff, going only 1.1 innings giving up 4 earned runs off 2 hits and 5 walks while striking out only 1. Balandis on the year went 4-1 with a save and had 33 strikeouts in 21.2 innings of work. Balandis will be off to Saint Louis University next year to help out the Billikens pitching staff.
