The Top Tier 16u Nationals finished the weekend in perfect fashion, winning the Great Lakes Super Select championship at Standard Bank Stadium this past weekend. Top Tier finished the weekend 5-0 with four mercy rule wins thanks to the 16u Nationals incredible offensive prowess, most notably by Kyle Blum. The catcher by far had himself the best weekend of his summer season, hitting .583 including an inside-the-park homerun. Not to mention, he also knocked in a team high 8 RBI’s while slugging .917. No doubt this was the type of performance coach Dobrinich was looking for as Top Tier’s season finally came to a close in Chicago, IL.
