MLB 2020 Draft Prospects

MLB 2020 Draft Eligible Konnor Ash, Missouri:
Here we are taking a deeper look at one of the top right-handed pitchers coming out of the SEC in the 2020 MLB Draft Class.

Konnor Ash is a junior RHP at the University of Missouri standing at 6'0 and 190 lbs. Ash was arguably going to have one of his biggest breakout seasons this year with the Tigers. Before the season was ended due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Ash was 2-0 in 4 starts with a 4.15 ERA and had 29 strikeouts in just 21.2 innings of work. The year before, in Ash's sophomore season with Mizzou he logged his most innings, making 23 appearances on the mound, going 2-2 with a 4.19 ERA, striking out 63 hitters in 53.2 innings of work. Ash therefore in the last two seasons has pitched 75.1 innings while striking out a staggering 92 hitters.

Ash also got to pitch in the Cape Cod League this past summer, which is arguably the best summer collegiate league to play in. Here Ash proved to be a high draft pick as he pitched for the Hyannis Habor Hawks against some of the best collegiate hitters in the country. Ash had a 5.71 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 28.1 innings of work for the Harbor Hawks.

Ash is a strong built RHP that has a Fastball range of 90-94 mph, Change-up range of 84-86 mph and a Curveball range of 79-83 mph.
