In his junior season of 2019 and heading into the summer of that year as well, Wright had started to really make a name for himself as he hit .385 for Central Central Catholic HS, was MVP of the team and was 1st Team All-County. Wright also won numerous tournaments with the Top Tier Roos along with winning a National Championship in the inaugural games of the High School National Championship in Houston, TX where he represented team Florida. All these accolades helped Wright decide that the next best fit for him would be to commit to play college baseball at national powerhouse, Clemson University.

Wright had a great Fall in 2019 of his senior year as he got selected to play on the Yankees Scout team for the Diamond Club Series and also got selected to play on the Reds Scout team in the WWBA in Jupiter, Florida. His great performances at these events have got some MLB scouts talking about him as he headed into his senior year. In his senior season at Clearwater Central Catholic HS, Wright was hitting .370 before the COVID-19 pandemic ended the season.
