Michigan legend, Sierra Romero to hold softball clinic

Top Tier is proud to announce that Sierra Romero will be at the MAX for an infield and hitting camp on Friday January 13th. Romero is arguably the best collegiate softball player in the history of the sport.

Sierra Romero is a Murrieta, California native who graduated from the University of Michigan. During her college career she was the 2016 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, a Four- Time All-American (3 first team & 1 second team), a Three- Time Big Ten Player of the Year, a Two- Time Michigan Female Athlete of the Year, Sierra was the second overall pick in the 2016 NPF Draft, and she also holds 3 NCAA Records for Grand-slams, Career Runs (302) , and being the first player in NCAA History to record 300 Hits, 300 Runs, and 300 RBI. She finished her career at the University of Michigan with a batting average of .443, 302 runs, 82 home runs, 305 RBI, a slugging percentage of .883, and a on base percentage of .585.

Romero will be joined by GiOnna DiSalvatore, a Palm Harbor, FL native who graduated from UCLA in 2011. During her college career, she was a 4 time all pac 10 selection, two time first team all American and a 2010 national champion. She is also the all time leader in doubles with 65. She currently plays in the NPF with the USSSA Pride. Throughout her 6 years in the NPF, GiOnna is a two time all NPF selection and 2013 offensive player of the year and a two time Cowles cup champion.

During the camp, the participants will be instructed by Romero and DiSalvatore in all areas of hitting, infield play, and mental approach. Following the three hour instructional camp, there will be a question and answer session, along with autographs.
