Opening Weekend for NCAA Division II & III, NAIA & JUCO: Top Tier Alumni Roundup
Some of these Divisions have got started but most still don't start till this upcoming weekend in college baseball at these levels. Here are the highlights from opening weeks in college baseball at the D2/D3, NAIA and JUCO level by our Top Tier Alums:

Top Tier Alumni Player of the Week:

Brenden Heiss, Southeastern (NAIA)

Heiss earned the Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week honors after collecting two wins in relief for the #1 ranked team in NAIA. Heiss threw a combined 3 innings this past week giving up 0 earned runs off 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 4. Heiss earned the win vs. Ave Maria and Point Park this past week and helped Southeastern to a 20-1 overall record. Heiss is 2-0 on the year with a save in 7.1 innings of work with giving up only 2 hits while striking out 12 and holding opponents to a .042 batting average. 

Best of the Rest in College Baseball (D2/D3/NAIA/JUCO)

Anthony Rios
, Lewis (Division II)

Rios looked great at the plate in opening weekend for the Flyers. Rios collected multiple hits in the two games they played vs. St. Francis, going 5 for 8 with a double and 4 RBI's to help the Flyers win both games and start the year 2-0 overall. 

Colin Summerhill, Triton (JUCO)

Summerhill had a day of days in his college debut on opening day vs. Heartland CC. Summerhill went 3 for 4 and was a single away from hitting the cycle. He hit a double early in the game then came back with a homer to tie it up in the 6th only to follow that up with a game winning triple to win along with collecting 4 RBI's on the day. Triton CC beat Heartland and lost to Iowa Central and are 1-1 overall to start the year. 

Khyle Radcliffe, Allen County (JUCO)

Radcliffe went 7 for 17, hitting .412 this past week with two homers, two doubles, five walks and 5 RBI's. Allen County is 8-2 overall on the year and Radcliffe is hitting .400. 

Ronnie Nowak, Marshalltown (JUCO)

Nowak in his college debut on opening weekend went 4 for 10, hitting .400 with a double, triple, 5 walks and 3 RBI's vs. Cloud County. Marshalltown however lost 3 of 4 vs. Cloud County and are 1-3 overall to start the year. 

Logan Mueller, John A. Logan (JUCO)

Mueller made two relief appearances this past weekend tossing a combined 4 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 3 walks while striking out 7. John A. Logan is 9-1 overall on the year. 

Channing Young, St. Petersburg (JUCO)

Young got his 1st career start vs. Central Florida this past weekend earning a no-decision for his efforts but pitching great. Young went 6 innings giving up 2 runs off 7 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. On the year, Young has thrown 19.1 innings, owning a 3.72 ERA with 13 strikeouts. St. Petersburg is 10-6 overall on the year. 

Connor Tomasic, South Suburban (JUCO)

Tomasic had a good start to the weekend both at the plate and on the mound for South Sub. Tomasic went 3 for 10 with two doubles and 2 RBI's over the weekend. On the mound, Tomasic earned a no-decision in his start vs. Southeastern Illinois tossing 5 innings giving up only 1 run off 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 7. South Suburban split with Southeastern Illinois and Illinois Central and lost to John A. Logan to move to 2-3 overall on the year. 

Noah Manning, Iowa Western (JUCO)

Manning made his college debut vs. Cowder, tossing 0.2 innings to earn his 1st save giving up 0 runs on 1 hit while striking out 1. Iowa Western split the opening series with Crowder and are 2-2 overall to start the year. 

Joel Sarver, Northwest Florida State (JUCO)

Sarver got his 1st collegiate start this past weekend vs. Coastal Alabama-Bay Minette where he earned a no-decision after tossing 6 innings giving up 4 earned runs off only 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Northwest Florida State is 13-5 overall on the year and Sarver has thrown 12.2 innings earning a 4.97 ERA with 12 strikeouts. 

Jake Lotz, Lewis (Division II)

Lotz closed out the game in the series opener tossing 1 inning of scoreless baseball off 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 2 to help the Flyers win both games vs. St. Francis. Lewis is 2-0 overall to start the year. 

Michael Schalasky, University of Indianapolis (Division II)

Schalasky threw for the 1st time this year coming back from Tommy John injury vs. Northwood in their series finale. Schalasky went 1 scoreless inning of relief for the Greyhounds giving up only 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 1. UIndy got swept by Northwood over the weekend and fell to 1-5 overall to start the year. 

Nick Villasenor, St. Francis (NAIA)

Villasenor got the start in the series finale vs. Lewis this past weekend where he earned the loss in his efforts where he went 3 innings giving up only 1 run off 3 hits while striking out 1. St. Francis lost both games vs. Lewis this past weekend and are 0-2 to start the year. 

Andrew Padilla
, Webster (Division III)

Padilla took the loss in relief for the #3 ranked Webster team this past weekend vs. Wartburg. Padilla threw 3.1 innings giving up 3 runs off 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Webster split with Wartburg on opening weekend to go to 1-1 overall.
