Week 7 roundup of the top performers from our Top Tier Alumni in College Baseball.

Willie Bourbon, Northwestern
Had an explosive offensive week hitting .462 going 6 for 13.  To start the week off, in the mid-week game vs. Chicago State, he went 4 for 4 only a triple away from the cycle, getting 2 singles, a double and his 1st collegiate home run in a 11 to 5 win. This was the only win the Cats would pick up on the week as they got swept by Michigan on the weekend. He collected 2 more doubles on the weekend, with a combined 5 RBI’s in all for the week.  

Ben Browdy, Wash U
Had a standout offensive performance this past weekend vs. Grinnell College. He went 7 for 16 hitting .438 with 2 doubles, a home run and 8 RBI’s.  Even with this offensive outburst Wash U lost 2 out of 3 games on the weekend.

Jesse Forestell, Western Michigan
Had a really good offensive week going 6 for 16, hitting .375, collecting at least one hit in all four games this week. He tallied a double and 2 RBI’s on the weekend but that was not enough as Kent State took 2 out of 3 from the Broncos.

Liam Carter, Missouri
Collected a save in the mid-week game vs. Saint Louis University pitching 2 innings, giving up 1 hit, 0 runs, and 1 walk. On the weekend vs. Arkansas he threw 1.1 innings of relief, giving up 2 hits, 0 runs, and 1 walk, helping them take 2 out of 3 games from the Razorbacks.

Charley Gould, William & Mary
Had another huge weekend going 6 for 15 hitting .400 on the weekend. He collected a double, and 4 RBI’s with multiple hits in 2 of the 3 games on the weekend. He is second on the team in batting average hitting .379 on the year.

Brett Shimanovsky, Saint Louis
Picked up a win in relief to improve to 2-2 on the year and help Saint Louis get the sweep on the weekend vs. George Mason. He threw 2 innings of relief giving up 2 hits, 0 earned runs, 0 walks, and 3 K’s.

Jack Landwehr, Illinois State
Picked up the win in relief vs. Xavier this weekend going 1.1 innings giving up 1 hit, 0 runs, and 1 K.  This moves him to 2-2 on the year. He also threw in the mid-week game vs. Eastern Illinois going another 1.1 innings of relief giving up 1 hit, 0 runs, and 1 K.

Justin Kelly, Wayne State
Went 4 for 12 on the 4-game weekend set vs. Ohio Dominican, hitting .333 with a double, a home run, and 6 RBI’s. With this offensive outburst he helped Wayne State win all 4 games vs. Ohio Dominican.

Luke Johnson, Bucknell
Went 4 for 12 on the weekend, hitting .333 with 2 RBI’s to help the Bison take 3 out of 4 games from Lehigh.

Nick Milligan, Western Illinois
Went 1.2 innings in relief giving up 3 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, and 3 K’s to help the Leathernecks take 2 out of 3 games from Omaha.

Sean Hjelle, Kentucky
Threw 1 inning of relief this weekend vs. Tennessee giving up 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks and 1 K. He helped the Wildcats take 2 out of 3 games from the Vols, while improving their record to 20-8 on the season, to rank them 21st in the nation. Hjelle on the year has a 0 ERA, holding hitters to .194 batting average.

Jason Scholl, Eastern Illinois
Went 4 for 12 on the weekend hitting .333 with a double and an RBI vs. Murray State. They lost 2 out of 3 vs. Murray State this past weekend.

Frankie Perrone, Eastern Illinois
Went 4 for 13 on the weekend, hitting .308 with a double and 2 RBI’s vs. Murray State.

Brian Musielak, Concordia University of Chicago
Threw 3 innings of relief, giving up 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, and 1 K on the weekend.

Chris Pedrak, Carthage
Threw 2 innings of relief giving up 0 hits, 0 earned runs, and 1 walk to help his team pick up a win vs. North Park.

Max Allen, Georgetown
Threw 1 inning of relief on the weekend, giving up 0 hits, 0 runs while striking out 3.

Brandon Mosley, Southern Illinois
Went 3 for 3 in his one start this weekend vs. Jacksonville State. Southern Illinois went on to take 2 of 3 on the weekend vs. Jacksonville State.

Trey Schramm, Xavier
Went 2 innings of relief vs. Illinois State giving up 1 hit, 1 run and 1 walk.

Michael Shereyk, SIUE

Went 1 for 3 in the mid-week game vs. Northwestern, hitting his 1st collegiate home run and collecting 2 RBI’s on the day.
