Player of the Week:
Daniel Pacella, OF, Illinois State
Pacella continues to keep putting up huge power numbers as a freshman for the Redbirds. This past week he went 8 for 20, hitting .400 with 2 more homers, a double and collected 9 more RBI's. ISU lost to Milwaukee but beat NIU in the midweek games and took 2 of 3 from Bradley over the weekend to improve to 13-22 overall and 4-11 in the MVC. On the year, Pacella as a freshman is hitting .296 with 11 homers and 38 RBI's.

Tony Livermore, INF, Northwestern
Livermore had one of his best offensive weeks of the year this past week as he went 7 for 15, hitting .467 on the week with a homer, a double and 5 RBI's. The Wildcats beat NIU in the midweek game but got swept by Rutgers over the weekend to fall to 6-28 overall and 3-9 in the Big Ten.
Cade Kurland, INF, Florida
Kurland collected a hit in every game this past weekend vs. 6th ranked South Carolina. Kurland went 4 for 10, hitting .400 for the 3rd ranked Gators with 2 more homers, 2 doubles and 2 RBI's. Florida won the midweek game vs. Florida A&M but got swept by South Carolina to fall to 31-10 overall and 11-7 in the SEC. Kurland as a freshman for the Gators is hitting .331 on the year with 10 doubles, 12 homers and 40 RBI's.
Nick Laxner, RHP, Eastern Illinois
Laxner got the midweek start vs. Illinois this past week where he threw incredibly good going 6 strong innings giving up 0 runs off only 3 hits and 0 walks with 3 strikeouts. The Panthers went on to beat Illinois and St. Xavier in the midweek games. On the weekend, Laxner made one relief appearance vs. Southern Indiana going 2 more scoreless innings off 4 hits and 0 walks with 3 strikeouts. EIU lost 2 of 3 to Southern Indiana over the weekend and are now 22-15 overall and 4-8 in the OVC.
Cam Minacci, RHP, Wake Forest
Minacci continues his dominance out of the bullpen for the 2nd ranked Demon Deacons as he earned his 10th save of the year this past week vs. Liberty. He got one more relief appearance on the weekend vs. Pittsburgh and in total went 2 innings giving up 0 runs on 0 hits and 1 walk with 5 strikeouts. Wake Forest beat Liberty in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from Pittsburgh to improve to 34-6 overall and 16-4 in the ACC. Minacci on the year has 10 saves and ERA of 2.65 in 17 innings pitched with 24 strikeouts.
Blake Wright, INF, Clemson
Wright had a really good week this past week for the Tigers as he went 6 for 15, hitting .400 with an RBI. Clemson lost to Georgia in the midweek game but swept NC State over the weekend to get back to 25-16 overall and 9-9 in the ACC.
Gavin Doyle, INF. Western Michigan
Doyle collected a hit in every game this past week going 5 for 13, hitting .386 with a homer, two doubles and 5 RBI's. Western Michigan got beat by Notre Dame in the midweek game but swept Bowling Green over the weekend to improve to 13-24 overall and 10-7 in the MAC.
Andrew Wilhite, OF, Ball State
Wilhite had a really good weekend vs. NIU going 4 for 11, hitting .367 with a homer, a double and 6 RBI's. Ball State lost to Purdue in the midweek game but swept NIU over the weekend to improve to 26-13 overall and 13-5 in the MAC.
Jack Mahoney, RHP, South Carolina
Mahoney earned a win vs. 3rd ranked Florida this past weekend in his start moving him to 4-1 on the year. Mahoney went 5 innings giving up 2 runs off 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3. The Gamecocks who were ranked 6th in the nation beat Charleston Southern in the midweek game and swept Florida to improve to 34-6 overall and 13-4 in the SEC. Mahoney on the year has a 3.26 ERA in 49.2 innings pitched with 52 strikeouts and 15 walks.
Noah Edders, RHP, Bradley
Edders earned a win in his start this past weekend vs. Illinois State where he went 5 innings giving up 1 earned run off 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 3. Bradley lost to Iowa in the midweek game lost 2 of 3 vs. ISU over the weekend to have them fall to 12-23 overall and 4-11 in the MVC.
Paul Bergstrom, LHP, Creighton
Bergstrom made one relief appearance this past week going 2 innings giving up 0 runs off 2 hits and 1 walk. Creighton swept St. John's to move to 18-14 overall and 6-3 in the Big East.
Colin Summerhill, C/OF, Northern Illinois
Summerhill collected 5 hits this past week with a homer, a double and 6 RBI's. NIU however lost to Northwestern and ISU in the midweek games and got swept by Ball State over the weekend to fall to 7-30 overall and 4-13 in the MAC. Summerhill is hitting .307 on the year with 9 doubles, 6 homers and 36 RBI's.
Ryan Thiesse, OF, Fordham
Thiesse collected 5 hits this past week with an RBI. Fordham beat Sacred Heart in the midweek game but lost 2 of 3 vs. Richmond over the weekend to fall to 16-24 overall and 3-6 in the A-10.
Antonio Brown, INF/OF, Mercer
Brown collected 3 hits this past week with a homer, a double and 3 RBI's. The Bears lost to Georgia State in the midweek game but won 2 of 3 vs. VMI to move to 26-15 overall and 8-4 in the SoCon.
Cam Redding, C/1B, Saint Louis
Redding collected 4 hits this past week with a homer, a double and 3 RBI's. Saint Louis lost to Lindenwood in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 vs. Dayton to fall to 23-14 overall and 9-3 in the A-10.
Derek Crum, LHP, Wake Forest
Crum made three relief appearances this past week for the 2nd ranked Demon Deacons. In total he threw 1.2 scoreless innings off 0 hits and 0 walks with 3 strikeouts. Wake Forest beat Liberty and took 2 of 3 from Pitt to improve to 34-6 overall on the year.
Joe Shapiro, LHP, Western Michigan
Shapiro got the start at the finale of the weekend vs. Bowling Green going 4 innings giving up 1 run off 4 hits and 1 walk with 1 strikeout. Western Michigan swept Bowling Green over the weekend to improve to 13-24 overall and 10-7 in the MAC.
Brendan Summerhill, OF, Arizona
Summerhill went 1 for 3 with a walk in his one start this past week for the Wildcats. Arizona beat 19th ranked Arizona State in the midweek game and swept Utah over the weekend to improve to 22-15 overall and 9-12 in the PAC-12.
Chase Centala, RHP, UCF
Centala got one inning of relief work in the past week vs. Stetson giving up 0 runs off 1 hit and 1 strikeout. UCF beat Stetson in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 vs. USF over the weekend to improve to 23-17 overall and 5-7 in the AAC.
Brady Miller, RHP, Western Michigan
Miller got a win in his start vs. Bowling Green this past weekend going 6 innings giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks while striking out 6. The Broncos swept Bowling Green to improve to 13-24 overall on the year.
