MLB Roundup: Tanner Roark, Washington Nationals Roark made two starts this past week. Roark took the loss vs. the Yankees moving him to 3-7 on the year. Roark went 6 innings vs. the Yankees giving up 3 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks while striking out 5. In Roark’s 2nd start of the week vs. the Blue Jays he got a no-decision going 4 innings giving up 4 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. Roark has a 3.87 ERA on the year. MiLB Roundup: Rob Scahill, Charlotte Knights (Affiliate of Chicago White Sox) Triple A Scahill made two relief appearances this past week. Scahill collected his 5th save going 1 inning giving up 0 runs on 1 hit and striking out 3. In his 2nd appearance he blew the save going 0.2 innings giving up 5 runs on 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 1. Scahill has a 4.80 ERA on the year. Ryan Borucki, Buffalo Bisons (Affiliate of Toronto Blue Jays) Triple A Borucki made one start this past week getting a no-decision after tossing 7 innings giving up 5 run on 5 hits and 4 walks while striking out 4. Borucki has a 3.60 ERA on the year. Tyler Ladendorf, Jackson Generals (Affiliate of Arizona Diamondbacks) Double A Ladendorf got dropped down to the Double A Jackson Generals where he went 5 for 14 with 2 RBI’s and is hitting .357 with his new club. Jeremy Rhoades, Salt Lake Bees (Affiliate of Los Angeles Angels) Triple A Rhoades made two relief appearances this past week going a total of 2 innings giving up 0 runs on 1 hit while striking out 3. Rhoades has a 1.69 ERA on the year. Karch Kowalczyk, Tulsa Drillers (Affiliate of Los Angeles Dodgers) Double A Kowalczyk made two relief appearances this past week since coming off the DL. Karch went a total of 2.1 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 4. Kowalczyk has a 7.79 ERA on the year. Jason Goldstein, Stockton Ports (Affiliate to Oakland Athletics) High A Goldstein collected a hit in every game this past week with a home run and 4 RBI’s. Goldstein is hitting .304 on the year with Stockton. Blake Hickman, Winston-Salem Dash (Affiliate to Chicago White Sox) High A Hickman made only one appearance this past week but as a starter where he took the loss going 3.1 innings giving up 7 runs on 7 hits and 5 walks while striking out 3. Hickman has a 6.39 ERA on the year. Ryan Koziol, Augusta GreenJackets (Affiliate to San Francisco Giants) Low A Koziol made one relief appearance this past week going 2 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 1. Koziol has a 3.18 ERA on the year. Zach Lewis, Kannapolis Intimidators (Affiliate to Chicago White Sox) Low Lewis made two appearances this past week. Lewis first one came as a starter as he went 3 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Lewis took the loss in relief in his second appearance of the week going 0.1 innings in relief giving up 2 runs on 1 hit and 1 walk. Lewis has a 3.74 ERA on the year. Independent Baseball Anthony Ray, Pennsylvania Road Warriors (Independent) Atlantic League Ray collected one hit, 2 walks and an RBI this past week. Ray is hitting .176 on the year for the Road Warriors. Joe Benson, Chicago Dogs (Independent League) American Association Benson got back from the DL this past week, going 3 for 11 with a double. Benson is leading his team with a .314 batting average. Kylin Turnbull, Chicago Dogs (Independent League) American Association Turnbull took the loss in his only start this past week going 4.1 innings giving up 3 earned runs on 10 hits while striking out 5. Turnbull has a 3.04 ERA on the year. Mitch Glasser, Gary Railcats (Independent League) American Association Glasser collected 4 hits this past week with two doubles and two RBI’s. Glasser is hitting .218 on the year. Mitch Schulewitz, Schaumburg Boomers (Independent League) Frontier League Schulewitz made three relief appearances this past week going a total of 5.2 innings, shutting down his opponents giving up 0 runs on only 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 8. Mitch has a 2.03 ERA on the year. Jack Landwehr, Normal Cornbelters (Independent League) Frontier League Landwehr picked up the loss in his only start this past week going 5 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 4 hits while striking out 3. Landwehr has a 4.05 ERA on the year. Darius Day, Windy City Thunderbolts (Independent League) Frontier League Day got released from the Windy City Thunderbolts on June 12th.
