Week #11: NCAA Division I College Baseball, Top Tier Alumni Roundup
This week saw the former ACC Player of the Year absolutely tear the cover off baseballs offensively this past week vs. Davidson and NC State. Seymour was seeing beach balls come into him this past week going 10 for 17, hitting a staggering .588, with not one or two homers but 6 bombs in 4 games, two doubles and had 11 more RBI's. Jack Mahoney was dominant again for the 13th ranked Gamecocks this past week vs. the Citadel, where he earned his 3rd win of the year throwing 7.2 innings scoreless innings off 5 hits while striking out 6. USC-Upstate stud reliever, Kevin Davis continued to impress in relief getting two more saves this past weekend to make it 7 saves on the year with a ERA of 0.43. Libman from Illinois State continued to swing a hot bat hitting .400 on the week with a homer, a double and collected 5 RBI's for the Redbirds. Hill for Morehead State continues to stay hot for the Eagles as he hit .467 this past week with a homer, 4 doubles and had 6 RBI's. Here are the highlights from Week 11 from all of our Top Tier alums:

Division I Player of the Week:

Bobby Seymour
, 1B, Wake Forest 

Seymour is by far one of the hottest hitters if not the hottest hitter in Division 1 Baseball right now. This past week in four games, Seymour hit a staggering .588 with 6 homers, two doubles and collected 11 RBI's. Wake Forest beat Davidson in the midweek but lost 2 of 3 vs. NC State to move to 15-22 overall and 7-19 in the ACC. Seymour is now leading the Demon Deacons in about every offensive category as he is hitting .299 on the year with 15 homers, 10 doubles and 46 RBI's. 

The Best of the Rest for Week #11:

Kevin Davis
, RHP, USC-Upstate

Kevin Davis has been an absolute stud on the mound for the Spartans as he has an ERA of 0.43 on the year. Davis picked up his 6th and 7th save this past weekend vs. Presbyterian going a combined 3 innings giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 0 walks while striking out 6. USC-Upstate swept Presbyterian and are 30-9 overall and 21-9 in the Big South. Davis has thrown 21 innings in relief and has 34 strikeouts in the year. 

Jack Mahoney, RHP, South Carolina

Mahoney was lights out in his midweek start vs. the Citadel, where he tossed 7.2 innings of scoreless baseball to earn the win off giving up only 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6. South Carolina beat the Citadel but got swept by #19 ranked Ole Miss to fall to 26-15 overall and 11-10 in the SEC. Mahoney is 3-0 on the year with a 1.10 ERA in 32.2 innings pitched with 39 strikeouts for the 13th ranked Gamecocks. 

Stephen Hill, 3B, Morehead State

Hill had a hit in every game last weekend, going 7 for 15, hitting .467 with a homer, 4 doubles, 6 RBI's. Morehead State took 3 of 4 from Murray State this past weekend to improve to 23-16 overall and 12-6 in the OVC. Hill is hitting .299 on the year with 13 doubles, 2 triples, 3 homers and 31 RBI's. 

Jordan Libman, OF, Illinois State

Libman continued to swing a hot bat, going 8 for 20, hitting .400 this past week with a homer, a double and 5 RBI's for the Redbirds. ISU beat SIUE in the midweek game but lost 3 of 4 to Valpo over the weekend to fall to 18-25 overall and 8-8 in the MVC. 

Chase Stanke, C, Minnesota

Stanke had one of his best weekends at the plate for the Gophers this past weekend, as he went 6 for 12, hitting .500 with a homer and 2 RBI's. However, the Gophers got swept by Maryland and fell to 4-26 overall on the year. 

Alex Bryant, RHP, Holy Cross

Bryant had two really good outing this past week on the mound to earn him Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors. Bryant threw in relief in the midweek game vs. Boston College where he tossing 2 scoreless innings off 0 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. Then he threw again vs. Army over the weekend getting a win tossing 4 innings giving up 0 runs off only 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. Holy Cross lost to Boston College and lost 3 of 4 vs. Army to fall to 9-16 overall. Bryant on the year is 3-1 with a 2.78 ERA in 22.2 innings pitched with 31 strikeouts. 

Cam Redding, C/1B, Saint Louis

Redding went 5 for 13, hitting .385 this past weekend with two doubles and 2 RBI's. SLU split with George Washington and are now 15-24 overall and 5-3 in the Atlantic-10. Redding is hitting .317 on the year with 12 doubles, 2 triples, 5 homers and 37 RBI's. 

Kellen Sarver, 1B, Illinois

Sarver went 4 for 12, hitting .333 this past weekend with 2 homers and 5 RBI's vs. the 22nd ranked Michigan Wolverines. Illinois split with Michigan to move to 15-16 overall on the year. 

Tanner Mink, RHP, South Florida

Mink made two appearances this past weekend, throwing a total of 1.1 innings giving up 0 runs off 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. South Florida split with Cincinnati to move to 17-21 overall and 7-9 in the American Conference. 

Collin Wilma, RHP, SEMO

Wilma made one appearance this past weekend vs. Belmont tossing 2.1 innings giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 4. SEMO took 2 of 3 from Belmont and are now 21-16 overall and 13-8 in the OVC.

Ryan Altenberger, INF/OF, Xavier

Altenberger went 4 for 9, hitting .444 with a double this past week as Xavier split with UConn and lost 2 of 3 to Villanova to move to 17-19 overall and 8-6 in the Big East. 

Ryan Hampe
, C, Illinois

Hampe went 3 for 8 with a homer, a double and an RBI this past weekend vs. Michigan. Illinois split with the 22nd ranked Wolverines and are now 15-16 overall on the year. 

Chase Centala, RHP, Florida

Centala got one inning of relief in this past weekend vs. the #2 ranked Vanderbilt team. In his one inning he gave up 0 runs off 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 1. The 14th ranked Gators took 2 of 3 from Vandy and are now 30-13 overall on the year. 

Sean Sinisko, LHP, Illinois State

Sinisko took the loss for the Redbirds in the finale vs. Valpo this past weekend but pitched well. He ended up throwing 6 innings in his start giving up 2 earned runs off 7 hits and 0 walks while striking out 5. ISU lost 3 of 4 vs. Valpo and are now 18-25 overall on the year. 

Dakota Kotowski, OF, Missouri State

Kotowski went 4 for 12, hitting .333 this past week with a double and an RBI. Missouri State got swept by Southern Illinois is the past week and fell to 15-15 overall and 5-7 in the MVC.

Brandon Williams, RHP, Presbyterian

Williams threw 2 scoreless innings of relief vs. USC-Upstate off only 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 2. Presbyterian got swept by USC-Upstate and are now 12-17 overall and 11-12 in the Big South. 

Andrew Hoffmann, RHP, Illinois

Hoffman had another quality start vs. #22 ranked, Michigan this past weekend going 5.1 innings giving up only 3 earned runs off 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3. Hoffmann earned a no-decision for his efforts and Illinois split with Michigan over the weekend to improve to 15-16 overall on the year. 

Trey Schramm, RHP, Xavier

Schramm made two relief appearances this past week. In the UConn series at the beginning of the week, he went 3.2 innings giving up only 1 earned run off 4 hits and 4 walks whiles striking out 2. In his 2nd relief outing over the weekend vs. Villanova, he tossed 2.2 innings giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 2 walks while striking 3 to earn the save. Xavier split with UConn and lost 2 of 3 to Villanova to move to 17-19 overall and 8-6 in the Big East. 

Jacob Rosenkranz, RHP, Valpo

Rosenkranz made two relief appearances for Valpo this past week. His 1st outing vs. 6th ranked Notre Dame he went 1.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. Rosenkranz went 1.1 innings vs. ISU over the weekend not fairing as well as he gave up 3 runs off 5 hits  while striking out 1. Valpo lost to Notre Dame in the midweek game but took 3 of 4 vs. ISU to improve 11-23 overall and 6-10 in the MVC.

Jeremy Gaines, OF, Illinois State

Gaines collected 2 hits this past weekend with a double and 2 RBI's. The Redbirds lost 3 of 4 to Valpo and are 18-25 overall on the year. 

Vincent Massaglia, OF, Southern Illinois

Massaglia collected 2 hits this past weekend with 2 RBI's as SIU beat Murray State in the midweek game and swept Missouri State over the weekend to improve to 31-12 overall and 10-10 in the MVC.

Keegan Bates, LHP, Valpo

Bates made one relief appearance this past weekend vs. ISU where he went 1 inning giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. Valpo took 3 of 4 from ISU and are now 11-23 overall and 6-10 in the MVC.

Zach Frieling, INF, Saint Louis

Frieling went 1 for 2 in his one start this past weekend with an RBI vs. George Washington. SLU split with George Washington to move to 15-24 overall on the year.
