Week #11 in College Baseball
Top Performances of Top Tier Alumni: Dakota Kotowski, Missouri State has another huge weekend as a Freshman for the Bears. Kotowski hit 2 more bombs and collected 8 RBI's over the weekend. 

Dakota Kotowski
, Missouri State
Kotowski continues to impress as a freshman in the Bears lineup, he went 6 for 14, hitting .428 with 2 homers, a double and 8 RBI's. Kotowski was one of the few bright spots as the Bears lost to Missouri in the midweek and got swept by Bradley over the weekend to fall to 13-30 overall and 4-8 in the MVC. Kotowski is hitting .304 with 9 homers, 2 doubles and 18 RBI's. 

Jordan Libman, Illinois State
Libman got back on track this past week, going 7 for 16, hitting .438 with a homer, a double and collecting 3 RBI's. Illinois State beat Northern Illinois in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 vs. Dallas Baptist to fall to 27-17 overall and 9-3 in the MVC. Libman is one of the top Redbirds in the lineup, hitting .333 for the year with 10 doubles, 2 homers and 27 RBI's. 

Eric Giltz, SIUE
Giltz had a great weekend at the plate for the Cougars, going 4 for 10 hitting .400 with a double and an RBI. However, SIUE got swept by Austin Peay and fell to 16-25 overall and 8-13 in the OVC. Giltz is hitting .300 with 5 doubles, 2 triples and 14 RBI's on the season. 

Bobby Seymour, Wake Forest
Seymour continues to rack up the RBI's for the Demon Deacons. Seymour went 6 for 16, hitting .375 over this past week with two more doubles and 10 RBI's. Wake Forest beat Charlotte in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to Florida State and are now 26-19 overall and 12-12 in the ACC. Seymour is hitting .379 on the year with 13 doubles, 7 homers and 70 RBI's.

Brett Newberg, Austin Peay
Newberg had a good week on the mound in relief for the Governors this past weekend, helping them sweep SIUE. Newberg made 3 relief appearances, throwing a total of 3.2 innings, giving up 1 earned run off 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 9. Newberg earned a save as well over the weekend and Austin Peay improved to 24-18 overall and 16-8 in the OVC. Newberg has 6 saves on the year with a 5.06 ERA with 46 strikeouts in 34 innings of work. 

Kellen Sarver, Illinois
Sarver went 5 for 18, this past week, collecting a hit in every game including a game winning double vs. Nebraska this past weekend. On the week, Sarver had a homer, a double and 4 RBI's to help them beat Bradley and take 2 of 3 from Nebraska to improve to 28-14 overall and 8-7 in the Big Ten. Sarver is hitting .296 on the year with 6 doubles, 2 triples, 2 homers and 21 RBI's. 

Bobby Kametas, Creighton
Kametas earned a save vs. Nebraska in the midweek game and threw in relief vs. Xavier over the weekend. In total, Kametas threw 2.2 innings of relief giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 4 walks while striking out 4. Creighton beat Kansas and Nebraska in the midweek games before losing 2 of 3 to Xavier over the weekend, moving them to 25-10 overall and 6-3 in the Big East. Kametas owns a 2.08 ERA on the year with 5 saves for the Blue Jays.

Stephen Hill, Morehead State
Hill collected a hit in every game this past week, going 5 for 16, hitting .313 with two doubles and two RBI's. Morehead State beat Marshall in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 vs. Jacksonsville State over the weekend to fall to 28-17 overall and 12-9 in the OVC. Hill is hitting .305 with 5 doubles, 3 homers and 26 RBI's. 

Quinn Snarskis, Illinois
Snarskis got a rehab start vs. Bradley this past week, he got a no-decision but pitched well going 2.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 4 hits while striking out 4. Illinois beat Bradley in the midweek and took 2 of 3 from Nebraska to improve to 28-14 overall. Snarskis has a 6.60 ERA on the year. 

Dalton Parker, Purdue
Parker made two relief appearances this past week, tossing a total of 2.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 1 hit while striking out 3. Purdue beat Chicago State and IPFW in the midweek games and took 2 of 3 from SEMO over the weekend to improve to 17-26 overall. Parker owns a 4.60 ERA on the year.

Trey Schramm, Xavier
Schramm made two relief appearances this past week, tossing a total of 3 innings giving up 0 runs off 2 hits. Xavier beat Miami (OH) in the midweek and took 2 of 3 from Creighton to improve to 19-24 overall and 9-2 in the Big East. Schramm owns a 6.66 ERA on the year. 

Brian Schrimmer
, Bradley
Schrimmer made one relief appearance vs. Illinois this past week, tossing 3 innings giving up only 1 run off 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. Bradley lost to Illinois and swept Missouri State over the weekend to improve to 27-13 overall and 7-5 in the MVC. Schrimmer is 2-0 with a save and an ERA of 1.37 on the year. 

Matt Burch, Old Dominion
Burch collected a hit in every game this past week, going 5 for 19 with 2 RBI's. ODU lost to #12 ranked, East Carolina in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from #28 ranked, Florida Atlantic over the weekend to improve to 26-17 overall and 9-12 in C-USA. Burch is hitting .299 on the year with 9 doubles, a homer, 22 RBI's and 14 stolen bases. 

Cal Coughlin, TCU
Coughlin made one relief appearance vs. Baylor over the weekend, tossing 2 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. TCU lost to Dallas Baptist in the midweek game and got swept by Baylor over the weekend to fall to 23-19 overall and 6-9 in the Big 12. Coughlin has a 8.44 ERA on the year. 

Michael Sebby, Illinois State
Sebby made two relief appearances this past week, tossing a total of 1.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 1 hit while striking out 3. ISU beat NIU and lost 2 of 3 to Dallas Baptist to fall to 27-17 overall and 9-3 in the MVC. Sebby has a 3.12 ERA on the year. 

Austin Blazevic, SEMO
Blazevic collected 4 hits this past week with 4 RBI's. SEMO beat Saint Louis and McKendree in the midweek but lost 2 of 3 vs. Purdue over the weekend to fall to 18-24 overall and 7-14 in the OVC. Blazevic is hitting .308 on the year with 5 doubles, a triple, 3 homers and 24 RBI's. 

Ryan Howe, Purdue
Howe collected 3 hits over the week with a homer and 2 RBI's. Purdue beat Chicago State and IPFW in the midweek games along with taking 2 of 3 from SEMO over the weekend to improve to 17-26 overall. 

Ryan Hampe, UIC
Hampe collected 4 hits this past week with a double and 4 RBI's. UIC got beat by Northwestern in the midweek game and got swept by Wright State over the weekend to fall to 18-19 overall and 11-9 in the Horizon. Hampe is hitting .385 with 11 doubles, a homer and 28 RBI's as a freshman for the Flames. 

Willie Bourbon, Northwestern 
Bourbon collected 3 hits this past week with 3 RBI's. The Wildcats beat UIC in the midweek and lost 2 of 3 vs. Michigan State to fall to 18-22 overall and 6-9 in the Big Ten. Bourbon is hitting .243 with 7 doubles, 2 triples, 4 homers and 29 RBI's. 

Cam Redding, Saint Louis 
Redding collected 3 hits this past week, but SLU lost 2 of 3 to Davidson to fall to 18-24 overall and 7-8 in the A-10. Redding is hitting .302 on the year, as a freshman for the Billikens. 

Neil Lambert, Bowling Green
Lambert collected 3 hits over the week with a double and an RBI. The Falcons however lost to Wright State and got swept by Ball State to fall to 13-26 overall and 6-12 in the MAC. Lambert is hitting .328 on the year.

Scott Youngbrandt, Saint Louis
Youngbrandt collected 3 hits over the week with a double. SLU lost 2 of 3 to Davidson and fell to 18-24 overall. Youngbrandt is hitting .243 on the year as a freshman. 

Connor Tomasic, Purdue
Tomasic made one relief appearance this past week, tossing 1 inning vs. IPFW giving up 0 runs off 1 hit and 2 walks. Purdue is 17-26 overall and Tomasic has a 3.06 ERA as a freshman for the Boilermakers.

Jeremy Gaines, Illinois State
Gaines got his 1st start in over a month due to injury, and went 1 for 3 vs. Dallas Baptist with an RBI. ISU beat NIU in the midweek and lost 2 of 3 to Dallas Baptist and are now 27-17 and 9-3 in the MVC. Gaines is hitting .308 on the year. 

Joe Santoro, Army
Santoro made one relief appearance this past week, tossing 1 inning vs. Marist giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. Army lost to Marist in the midweek game and lost 3 of 4 over the weekend to Holy Cross to fall to 25-20 overall and 12-9 in the Patriot League. Santoro has a 1.50 ERA on the year.



Niemerg, Maryville goes off at the plate to help Maryville continue hot streak into the GLVC playoffs.


Louis Niemerg, Maryville

Niemerg had an unbelievable week for Maryville, going 9 for 22, hitting .409 with 2 bombs, a double and collecting 9 RBI's. Maryville beat #7 ranked Quincy twice in the midweek games along with sweeping Truman State over the weekend to improve to 27-17 overall and 22-8 in the GLVC. Niemerg is having a great senior campaign, hitting .308 with 11 doubles, a triple, 8 homers and 46 RBI's. 

Justin Kelly, Wayne State
Kelly continued to stay hot for the Warriors, going 7 for 14, hitting .500 this past week with a double and 2 RBI's. Wayne State lost 3 of 4 to Davenport over the weekend and fell to 30-12 overall and 14-9 in the GLIAC. Kelly is hitting .333 with 12 doubles, a triple, 9 homers and 45 RBI's on the year.

Peyton Isaacson, Saint Leo
Isaacson picked up 2 hits and a save on the mound over the weekend vs. Eckerd. Saint Leo lost 2 of 3 vs. Eckerd and fell to 21-23 overall. Isaacson owns a 2.35 ERA on the mound and is hitting .331 with 11 doubles, a triple, 8 homers and 43 RBI's in his senior campaign. 

Anthony Rios, Lewis
Rios collected 3 hits this past week with an RBI to help the Flyers beat UW-Parkside and sweep #7 ranked Quincy to improve to 25-21 overall and 17-13 in the GLVC. Rios is hitting .308 with 15 doubles, 2 homers and 28 RBI's. 


Matt Kann, Franklin & Marshall goes off at the plate this past week hitting .375 with a pair of homers.

Matt Kann, Franklin & Marshall 

Kann went 6 for 16, hitting .375 with a pair of homers, 2 doubles, a triple and collected 7 RBI's to help Franklin & Marshall improve to 26-13 overall. Kann finally got back to his old form from a year ago and the recent offensive surge helped them beat Ursinus twice, Scranton once and split with Johns Hopkins this past week. 

Ben Rosengard, University of Chicago
Rosengard had a really good offensive week, going 7 for 23, hitting .304 with two doubles and 3 RBI's to help the Maroons improve to 20-8 overall. Rosengard as a freshman is on a 10-game hitting streak along with hitting .315 for the year with 4 doubles and 15 RBI's.

Brian Lyle, University of Chicago
Lyle went 9 for 29, hitting .310 this past week with 6 RBI's. University of Chicago improved to 20-8 overall and Lyle is a big reason for that, as he is hitting .419 on the season with 23 RBI's and 17 stolen bases.

Travis Hank, MIT
Hank got the win vs. Roger Williams this past week, tossing 5 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 6. Hank has a 4.29 ERA with a 2-1 record, while MIT is 18-16-1 overall. 

Nate Tholl, Webster
Tholl went 3 for 8, hitting .375 with double this past week as Webster improved to 26-9 overall. Tholl is hitting .355 on the year with 12 doubles, 2 homers and 17 RBI's. 

Tommy Duddleston, UW-Stevens Point
Duddleston collected 5 hits this past week with and RBI. UW-Stevens Point is 14-20 overall and Duddleston is hitting .289 on the year. 




Massaglia continues to dominate at the plate, hitting .471 this past week with another double and triple to add to the stat list. 

Vincent Massaglia, Illinois Central College

Massaglia went 8 for 17 this past week, hitting .471 with a double, a triple and an RBI. ICC is now 21-9 overall and Massaglia is hitting .400 with 14 doubles, a triple, 7 homers and 43 RBI's on the year. 

Andrew Zapka
, Heartland
Zapka picked up another win on the mound vs. Vincennes this past week, tossing 6 innings giving up only 2 runs off 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Heartland is 24-16 overall and Zapka is 5-2 with a 3.43 ERA and has 50 strikeouts in 42 innings of work. 

Ashton Creal, John A. Logan
Creal went 5 for 14, hitting .357 this past week with a double and 4 RBI's. John A. Logan continues to dominate the competition improving to 39-7 overall as Creal is hitting .407 with 29 RBI's. 

Kevin Davis, Olney Central College
Davis picked up the loss vs. Wabash Valley this past weekend but Davis pitched well going 6 innings, giving up only 1 earned run off 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5. Olney Central is 27-12 overall and Davis is 5-2 with a 4.56 ERA with 53 strikeouts in 53.1 innings of work. 

Garrett Goetz, Waubonsee Valley 
Goetz collected 5 hits this past week with a double and 3 RBI's. Waubonsee Valley is 23-20 overall and Goetz is hitting .369 with 30 RBI's on the year.
