MLB Roundup:
Tanner Roark, Washington Nationals
Roark made one start this past week. Roark continues to struggle as the Nationals number 2 starter as he picked up his 8th loss of the year. Roark went 4.1 innings in his start giving up 6 runs on 7 hits and 4 walks while striking out 7. Roark has a 4.27 ERA on the year.
Ryan Borucki, Toronto Blue Jays
Borucki got the win this past week, moving him to a record of 6-5 in Triple A. Right after his start, Borucki was called up the Big League squad and is about to make his MLB Debut vs. the Houston Astros on Tuesday. In his start last week for the Triple A squad, Borucki went 7 innings giving up 0 runs on 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4. Borucki, finished Triple A with a 3.27 ERA.
MiLB Roundup:
Rob Scahill, Charlotte Knights (Affiliate of Chicago White Sox) Triple A
Scahill made two relief appearances this past week, going a total of 3 innings giving up 1 run on 6 hits while striking out 6. On the year, Scahill has a 4.64 ERA with 5 saves and 41 strikeouts in 33 innings of work.
Jeremy Rhoades, Salt Lake Bees (Affiliate of Los Angeles Angels) Triple A
Rhoades made three relief appearances this past week, having his worst games at the Triple A level. Rhoades went a total of 4 innings giving up 6 runs on 9 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6. Rhoades picked up two losses as well and slipped to 2-2 out of the pen with a 4.05 ERA. Rhoades has 18 strikeouts in 20 innings of work thus far with the Salt Lake Bees.
Tyler Ladendorf, Jackson Generals (Affiliate of Arizona Diamondbacks) Double A
Ladendorf went 0 for 7 this past week with his new club and is currently hitting .238.
Karch Kowalczyk, Tulsa Drillers (Affiliate of Los Angeles Dodgers) Double A
Kowalczyk made two relief appearances this past week out of the bullpen. In total Kowalczyk went 4 innings giving up 0 runs on 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4. Kowalczyk has been great since coming back off the disabled list and now owns a 6.33 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 21.1 innings of work.
Jason Goldstein, Stockton Ports (Affiliate to Oakland Athletics) High A
Goldstein only got one start this past week going 1 for 4. Goldstein is currently hitting .296 on the year.
Blake Hickman, Winston-Salem Dash (Affiliate to Chicago White Sox) High A
Hickman made one appearance this past week, and is trying to adapt to his new role as starter for his club. Hickman took the loss going 4 innings giving up 7 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks while striking out 1. On the year, Hickman has a 7.46 ERA.
Adam Walton, Visalia Rawhide (Affiliate to Arizona Diamondbacks) High A
Walton went 3 for 11 this past week after coming off the disabled list. Walton is currently hitting .267 this year.
Ryan Koziol, Augusta GreenJackets (Affiliate to San Francisco Giants) Low A
Koziol made one relief appearance this past week, going 2.2 innings giving up 1 run on 1 hit and 1 walk. Koziol currently has a 3.20 ERA on the year.
Zach Lewis, Kannapolis Intimidators (Affiliate to Chicago White Sox) Low A
Lewis got the start and the win this past week moving him to 2-2. Lewis went 5 innings in his start giving up 1 run on 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. Lewis has 3.49 ERA with 3 saves and 31 strikeouts in 38.2 innings of work.
Independent Baseball
Anthony Ray, Pennsylvania Road Warriors (Independent) Atlantic League
Ray only played in one game this past week, going 1 for 2. Ray is currently hitting .183 on the year.
Joe Benson, Chicago Dogs (Independent League) American Association
Benson went 5 for 20 this past week with a pair of RBI’s. Benson is currently hitting . 291 on the year.
Kylin Turnbull, Chicago Dogs (Independent League) American Association
Turnbull got a no-decision for his efforts this past week. Turnbull went 5 innings giving up 3 runs on 7 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5. Turnbull is 1-4 on the year, with a 5.09 ERA and has 24 strikeouts in 30 innings of work.
Mitch Glasser, Sioux Falls Canaries (Independent League) American Association
Glasser got traded from the Gary Railcats to the Sioux Falls Canaries. With his new team, Glasser went 4 for 12 this past week and is hitting .333 with his new squad.
Mitch Schulewitz, Schaumburg Boomers (Independent League) Frontier League
Schulewitz made three relief appearances this past week, going a total of 2.2 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. Schulewitz has a 2.81 ERA on the year.
Jack Landwehr, Normal Cornbelters (Independent League) Frontier League
Landwehr got a no-decision for his efforts on his start this past week. Landwehr went 5 innings in his start giving up 0 earned runs on 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. Landwehr is 0-2 on the year with a 3.24 ERA.
