Week #13: Division I College Baseball, Top Tier Alumni Roundup:



Player of the Week:

Cam Redding, C/1B, Saint Louis University

Redding was near perfect at the plate this past weekend vs. A-10 opponent St. Joseph's. Redding went 11 for 14, hitting an unbelievable .786 on the weekend with 3 homers, a double and collected 9 RBI's. Redding won Atlantic-10 Co-Player of the Week honors for his efforts. Saint Louis however lost 2 of 3 to St. Joseph's and fell to 26-21 overall on the year and 12-8 in the A-10.

Blake Wright
, Clemson

Wright continues his dominance at the plate this past week as he went 8 for 18, hitting .444 with a homer, a double and collected 3 RBI's. Clemson lost to College of Charleston in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 vs. 9th ranked Virginia over the weekend to fall to 32-20 overall and 10-16 in the ACC. 

Nick Ficarrotta, Florida

Ficarrotta threw really well for the Gators this past week. In the midweek game he tossed 4  innings vs. Bethune-Cookman giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 0 walks while striking out 6. He then got another 0.1 innings of relief vs. Missouri over the weekend giving up a hit while striking out 1. Florida beat Bethune-Cookman in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from Missouri to improve to 32-19 overall and 13-14 in the SEC. 

Gavin Doyle, Western Michigan

Doyle continues to stay hot at the plate as he went 9 for 21 this past week, hitting .429 with 3 doubles and 7 RBI's. Western Michigan lost to Michigan State in the midweek game and lost 3 of 4 vs. Kent State over the weekend to fall to 17-33 overall and 14-21 in the MAC.

Mason Miller, Florida Gulf Coast

Miller was really good in relief this past week as he tossed a total of 4 innings giving up 0 runs off 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4. Miller earned a save vs. FAU in the midweek game and earned a win in relief vs. Liberty this past week. FGCU beat FAU and lost 2 of 3 to Liberty over the weekend and are 31-20 overall and 15-12 in the ASUN. 

Jeremy Gaines, Texas Southern

Gaines went 6 for 15, hitting .400 this past week with a triple, a double and collected 2 RBI's. Texas Southern lost to Texas in the midweek game and won 2 of 3 vs. Grambling State over the weekend and are 26-22 overall and 17-10 in the SWAC.

Derek Crum, Wake Forest

Crum was really good in relief this past week for the Demon Deacons as he threw a total of 3 scoreless innings giving 0 hits and 3 walks while striking out 5. Wake Forest beat High Point in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to UNC this past weekend to fall 35-16-1 overall and 12-14-1 in the ACC. 

Chase Stanke, Minnesota

Stanke went 4 for 11, hitting .364 this past weekend with a homer, a double and 3 RBI's as Minnesota lost 2 of 3 to Indiana and are 15-33 overall and 5-16 in the Big Ten. 

Jacob Rosenkranz, Valpo

Rosenkranz made one relief appearance this past weekend vs. Bradley where he tossed 2 scoreless innings giving up 0 hits and 0 walks. Valpo lost 2 of 3 to Bradley and are 15-30 overall. 

Danny Doligale, Illinois

Doligale went 4 for 4 with a triple and an RBI vs. Nebraska this past weekend. Illinois won 2 of 3 vs. Nebraska and are 28-20 overall and 14-7 in the Big Ten.

Isaiah Thompson, Indiana State

Thompson went 2 for 2 with an RBI this past week. Indiana State lost to 24th ranked Vanderbilt in the midweek game and got swept by Southern Illinois over the weekend to fall to 23-20 overall and 8-10 in the MVC.

Stephen Hill, Liberty

Hill collected 4 hits this past week with an RBI. Liberty lost to 5th ranked Virginia Tech in the midweek game and won 2 of 3 vs. FGCU over the weekend to move to 32-18 overall and 18-9 in the ASUN.

Tanner Mink, USF

Mink made two relief appearances this past week, throwing a total of 5.1 innings giving up only 1 earned run off 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 8.  USF beat Stetson in the midweek game but got swept by East Carolina to fall to 26-25 overall and 6-15 in the AAC.

Cam Minacci, Wake Forest

Minacci only made one relief appearance this past weekend tossing one scoreless inning giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 1. Wake Forest lost 2 of 3 to UNC over the weekend to fall to 35-16-1 overall and 12-14-1 in the ACC.

Ryan Howe, Purdue

Howe collected 3 hits this past week as Purdue beat Butler in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from Northwestern over the weekend. Purdue is now 29-17 overall and 9-10 in the Big Ten. 

Tony Livermore, Northwestern

Livermore collected 3 hits this past week as the Wildcats beat UW-Milwaukee in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to Purdue over the weekend. Northwestern is now 22-25 overall and 8-13 in the Big Ten. 

Dakota Kotowski, Missouri State

Kotowski blasted his 20th home run of the season this past week. Missouri State lost to SEMO in the midweek game and won 2 of 3 vs. Illinois State this past weekend to move to 24-24 overall and 7-11 in the MVC.

Sean Sinisko, Illinois State

Sinisko took the loss in his start vs. Missouri State this past weekend but pitched well as he went 5 innings giving up 3 runs off 7 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4. ISU lost 2 of 3 to Missouri State and fell to 19-27 overall and 6-12 in the MVC.

Andrew Zapka, Dayton

Zapka threw one inning of relief this past week giving up 0 earned runs off 2 hits and 0 walks while striking out 1. Dayton beat IPFW in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from Richmond over the weekend to improve to 22-25 overall and 9-12 in the A-10. 

Keaton Rice, Bradley

Rice collected 2 hits with two doubles this past weekend as Bradley took 2 of 3 from Valpo this past weekend to improve to 18-26 overall and 9-9 in the MVC.

Zach Fricke, Valpo

Fricke tossing one inning of relief vs. Bradley this past weekend giving up 0 runs off 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 2. Valpo lost 2 of 3 to Bradley and are 15-30 overall. 

Kevin Davis, USC-Upstate

Davis made one relief appearance this past week vs. South Carolina where he went 2.1 innings giving up 1 run off 1 hit and 2 walks. USC-Upstate beat South Carolina in the midweek game and went 1-1-1 vs. UNC-Asheville over the weekend to move to 32-19-1 overall and  17-6-1 in the Big South.
