Week #13 in College Baseball
Top Performances of Top Tier Alumni: Bobby Seymour, Wake Forest keeps racking up the RBI's for the Demon Deacons, as he now leads the country with 81 RBI's on the year.


Bobby Seymour, Wake Forest
Seymour continues to be one of the top power hitters in all of College Baseball as he went 8 for 17, hitting .471 this past week with another homer, 3 doubles and 9 RBI's. Seymour is one of the nation's leaders in RBI's this year with 81 RBI's total to help the Demon Deacons continue to make a push to the NCAA Tournament. On the year, Seymour is hitting .377 with 17 doubles and 8 homeruns with a slugging percentage of .575. Wake Forest beat Davidson in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to #14 ranked Miami to fall to 29-22 overall and 13-14 in the ACC. Wake Forest will finish the regular season vs. Clemson. 

Cam Redding, Saint Louis
Redding collected a hit in every game this past weekend, going 6 for 12, hitting .500 with two doubles and 3 RBI's. Saint Louis swept George Mason over the weekend and improved to 24-25 overall and 12-9 in the Atlantic-10. Redding is hitting .319 as a true freshman with 7 doubles and 25 RBI's on the year. Saint Louis will finish the regular season at Richmond this upcoming weekend. 

Neil Lambert, Bowling Green
Lambert went 5 for 11, hitting .455 this past weekend vs. Kent State with a double. Lambert in his senior campaign is hitting .326 for the Falcons with 9 doubles and 16 RBI's. Bowling Green lost 2 of 3 vs. Kent State and fell to 15-32 overall. The Falcons will finish the regular season vs. Northern Illinois this upcoming weekend.

Ryan Altenberger, Xavier
Altenberger went 4 for 10, hitting .400 with a homer, a double and an RBI this past weekend vs. Villanova. Xavier went on to win both games vs. Villanova and improve to 23-27 overall and 12-4 in the Big East which moves them into sole possession of 1st place. Altenberger is hitting .269 on the year with 10 doubles, 5 homers and 20 RBI's. 

Ryan Hampe, UIC
Hampe continues to be one of the top hitting freshman in the country as he went 6 for 15, hitting .400 this past week with a homer, a double and 6 RBI's. UIC beat University of Chicago in the midweek and swept Youngstown State over the weekend to improve to 24-20 overall and 16-10 in the Horizon. Hampe is hitting .376 on the year as a true freshman with 12 doubles, 2 homers and 36 RBI's. UIC will finish the regular season at Northern Kentucky this upcoming weekend.

Patrick Martin, UIC
Martin threw one his best games of the year vs. Youngstown State this past weekend. Martin picked up the win going 5 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 5 hits while striking out 3. UIC swept Youngstown State and are now 24-20 overall. Martin is 2-4 on the year with a 4.10 ERA in 37.1 innings pitched.

Brady Miller, Western Michigan
Miller picked up the only win for the Broncos this past weekend vs. Miami (OH), tossing 7 innings giving up only 1 earned run off 6 hits whiles striking out 2. Western Michigan lost 2 of 3 to Miami (OH) to fall to 17-29 overall and 10-12 in the MAC. Miller is 4-2 with a 3.53 ERA in 51 innings of work as a true freshman. 

Cal Coughlin, TCU
Coughlin made two relief appearances this past weekend vs. Kansas picking up a win in one of those appearances. In total, Coughlin threw 2.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 2 hits while striking out 2. TCU took 2 of 3 from Kansas to improve to 28-21 overall and 10-11 in the Big XII. Coughlin has a 6.00 ERA and has 14 strikeouts in 15 innings of work this year. TCU finishes the regular season off at Texas Tech this upcoming weekend. 

Brett Newberg, Austin Peay
Newberg made two relief appearances vs. Eastern Illinois this past weekend picking up a save in one of them. In total, Newberg threw 2 innings total giving up 0 runs off 0 hits while striking out 2. Austin Peay lost to Tennessee in the midweek game but swept Eastern Illinois over the weekend to improve to 29-20 overall and 19-8 in the OVC, which puts them in 1st place. Newberg has a 4.97 ERA with 7 saves and 50 strikeouts in 38.1 innings of work this year. Austin Peay will finish the regular season off against the Jacksonville State, who is tied with Austin Peay for 1st place in the OVC.

Bobby Kametas, Creighton
Kametas made one appearance this past weekend vs. St. John's and picked up a save going 1 inning giving up 0 runs off 1 walk while striking out 2. Creighton won 2 of 3 vs. St. John's and are 31-11 overall and 11-4 in the Big East. Kametas has a 1.86 ERA with 7 saves and 22 strikeouts in 19.1 innings of work. Creighton who is 0.5 games back from 1st in the Big East will take on Villanova to finish the regular season this upcoming weekend. 

Dakota Kotowski, Missouri State
Kotowski went 5 for 16, hitting .313 with a homer, a double and 4 RBI's. Missouri State lost 2 of 3 vs. Evansville to fall to 16-34 overall and 7-11 in the MVC. Kotowski is hitting .305 with 11 homers and 24 RBI's as a true freshman. Missouri State will finish the regular season vs. Valpo this upcoming weekend. 

Stephen Hill, Morehead State
Hill went 4 for 13, hitting .308 this past week with a homer and 2 RBI's vs. Tennessee Tech. However, Morehead State lost 2 of 3 to Tennessee Tech and fell to 33-19 overall and 16-11 in the OVC. Hill is hitting .304 on the year with 7 doubles, 4 homers and 31 RBI's. Morehead State will finish the regular season vs. SEMO this upcoming weekend. 

Ryan Howe, Purdue
Howe went 4 for 13, hitting .308 this past weekend vs. #25 ranked, Illinois. Purdue got swept by Illinois and fell to 19-31 overall and 7-13 in the Big Ten. Howe is hitting .231 on the year as a true freshman. Purdue will finish the regular season vs. Ohio State this upcoming weekend and need to do well to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Cheorkee LeBeau, Oakland
LeBeau collected 3 hits this past weekend with a double and an RBI. Oakland lost 2 of 3 vs. UW-Milwaukee this past weekend and fell to 11-33 overall and 9-15 in the Horizon. LeBeau is hitting .249 on the year as a true freshman. Oakland finishes the regular season off against Wright State this upcoming weekend. 

Kellen Sarver, Illinois
Sarver collected 3 hits this past weekend vs. Purdue with 2 RBI's. Illinois swept Purdue and improved to 34-16 overall and 13-8 in the Big Ten. Illinois continues to improve in the Big Ten as they are tied for 3rd place with room to move up with their last regular season series to take place vs. Michigan State this upcoming weekend. Sarver is hitting .269 on the year as a redshirt freshman with 7 doubles, 2 triples, 2 homers and 24 RBI's. 

Joe Santoro, Army
Santoro made one relief appearance vs. Villanova in the midweek game going 1.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 2. Army beat Villanova and split with Lafayette before heading into the Patriot League playoffs where they beat Holy Cross in the Semi's to allow them to head into the Championship series vs. Navy this upcoming weekend. Army is 32-23 overall and 15-10 in the Patriot League and Santoro has a 2.08 ERA in 8.2 innings of relief work.

Mitch Vogrin, Illinois State
Vogrin made two relief appearances vs. Bradley this past weekend, tossing a total of 3 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. ISU won 2 of 3 vs. Bradley this past weekend to improve to 30-21 overall and 12-6 in the MVC. ISU is tied for 1st place with Dallas Baptist in the MVC and take on Evansville to finish the regular season this upcoming weekend. Vogrin has a 4.10 ERA on the year with 24 strikeouts in 26.1 innings. 

Clay Thompson, Oakland
Thompson got a few starts this past weekend vs. UW-Milwaukee after not playing for over a month. Thompson went 2 for 7 vs. UW-Milwaukee but Oakland lost 2 of 3 to fall to 11-33 overall. 

Ben Dickey, Northwestern
Dickey collected 3 hits this past week with two doubles and 2 RBI's to help Northwestern take 2 of 3 from Rutgers. Northwestern is now 23-24 overall and 10-11 in the Big Ten. Dickey is hitting .261 in his senior campaign with 5 doubles, 2 homers, 12 RBI's and 12 stolen bases. Northwestern finished the regular season off vs. Minnesota this upcoming weekend and are trying to hold onto a Big Ten playoff spot.

Quinn Snarskis, Illinois
Snarskis made one relief appearance this past weekend vs. Purdue, going 2.2 innings giving up 2 runs off 2 hits and 2 walks. Illinois swept Purdue and improved to 34-16 overall. Snarskis has a 5.56 ERA on the year and they finish the regular season off against Michigan State this upcoming weekend. 

Michael Sebby
, Illinois State
Sebby made one relief appearance this past weekend vs. Bradley going 1 inning giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 1 walk. ISU took 2 of 3 from Bradley and improved to 30-21 and 12-6 in the MVC, which is tied for 1st place. Sebby has a 2.31 ERA on the year in 11.2 innings of work. 

Cooper Johnson, Ole Miss
Johnson collected 2 hits this past weekend vs. #5 ranked Mississippi State, but it wasn't enough as the Rebels got swept. Ole Miss is now 32-20 overall and 15-12 in the SEC. Johnson is hitting .280 with 9 doubles, 6 homers and 24 RBI's on the year. Ole Miss will finish with Tennessee to finish the regular season this upcoming weekend. 

Matt Burch, Old Dominion
Burch collected 2 hits this past weekend with a homer to help ODU sweep Marshall. ODU is now 32-18 overall and 14-13 in C-USA. Burch is hitting .282 with 10 doubles, 2 homers, 24 RBI's and 14 stolen bases on the year. ODU finishes the regular season at Western Kentucky this upcoming weekend. 



Peyton Isaacson, Saint Leo

Isaacson went 5 for 16, hitting .313 with a homer, two doubles and 4 RBI's vs. Embry-Riddle this past weekend. Saint Leo finished the year 25-25 overall and Isaacson finished on a high note, hitting .328 in his senior season with 13 doubles, 9 homers, and 49 RBI's. Isaacson also had a 2.35 ERA on the mound in 7.2 innings of work with 5 saves. Isaacson hopes to get picked up in the MLB Draft this year. 

Jacob Nagel, Bellarmine
Nagel went 2.2 innings of relief in the GLVC Championship Game vs. UIS, giving up 0 runs off 2 hits while striking out 1. Bellarmine beat Maryville, Southern Indiana, Quincy and UIS to win the GLVC and advance to the NCAA Division 2 Midwest Regional, where they will face Northwood University in the opening round. Bellarmine finished the year with a 33-19 overall record and Nagel was 1-2 with a 5.85 ERA in 40 innings of work.

Louis Niemerg, Maryville
Niemerg collected 4 hits in the GLVC Tournament with 3 doubles and 4 RBI's. Maryville lost in the Semi-Finals to UIS and Niemerg took the loss on the mound, tossing 8 strong innings giving up 3 runs on 7 hits while striking out 6. Maryville finished 29-22 overall and Niemerg finished his senior campaign hitting .316 with 15 doubles, 10 homers and 53 RBI's. Niemerg finished 4-4 on the mound with a 5.87 ERA with 63 strikeouts in 69 innings of work.

Justin Kelly, Wayne State
Kelly collected 3 hits this past week in the GLIAC Tournament. Wayne State beat Purdue Northwest and lost to Davenport and Ashland to get bounced from tournament. However, Wayne State ranked #23 in the nation, were awarded and at large bid into the NCAA Division 2 Midwest Regional, where they will play Quincy in the opening round. Wayne State finished the year 34-15 overall and Kelly finished his senior season off with a .329 batting average with 13 doubles, 10 homers, 50 RBI's and a slugging % of .594. 

Anthony Rios, Lewis
Rios went 2 for 8 in his two GLVC Tournament games. Lewis lost to Quincy and Drury and got bounced from the tournament and finished 27-24 overall for the year. Rios finished the year hitting .302 with 15 doubles, 2 homers and 29 RBI's.



Nate Tholl, Webster

Tholl went 3 for 10 with 2 RBI's in the SLIAC Tournament as they beat Spalding in the Championship game. Webster punched their ticket into the NCAA Division 3 Tournament and will play Bethany Lutheran in the opening round in the Regionals. Webster finished the year 32-10 overall and ranked 18th in the nation, and Tholl finished the year, hitting .331 with 12 doubles, 2 homers, 19 RBI's and 20 stolen bases.

Mitch Owens, Augustana
Owens collected 2 hits vs. Milliken and North Park in the CCIW Tournament, but unfortunately lost both games to finish the season 26-15-1 overall. Owens finished the year hitting .340 with 8 doubles, 2 homers and 31 RBI's.

Austin Butts, Transylvania
Butts went 2 for 6 with 2 RBI's in their two losses to Defiance and Anderson in the HCAC Tournament, to get knocked out and finish 16-24 overall. Butts finished the year hitting .309 with 6 doubles and 23 RBI's. 

Elias Kuhns, Union 
Kuhns went 1 for 3 in the opening round of the Liberty League Tournament where they lost to RPI and finished their season 18-21 overall. Kuhns finished the year hitting .330 with 12 doubles, 6 homers, 21 RBI's and a slugging % of .598. 

Travis Hank, MIT
Hank didn't get to pitch in the NEWMAC Championship game vs. #6 ranked Babson, but his team won and qualified for the NCAA Division 3 Tournament, where they will take on Oswego State in the opening round in the New England Regional this weekend. MIT finished the regular season with a 22-17-1 overall record and Hank finished his senior regular season with a 2-1 record with a 4.29 ERA in 21 innings pitched. 

Brian Lyle, University of Chicago
Lyle collected 4 hits this past weekend as they lost to Cornell College in the Semi-Finals of the MWC Tournament and finished the year 24-12 overall. Lyle finished the year hitting .378 with 24 RBI's and 19 stolen bases.

Ben Rosengard, University of Chicago
Rosengard collected 3 hits this past weekend in the MWC Tournament as they lost to Cornell College in the Semi-Finals. University of Chicago finished 24-12 overall and Rosengard finished the year hitting .303 with 5 doubles and 17 RBI's as a true freshman. 



Vincent Massaglia, Illinois Central College

Massaglia went 8 for 16, hitting .500 with 4 doubles and 2 RBI's this past weekend, as ICC took  2 of 3 from Lincoln Land CC. ICC is 24-24 overall and Massaglia is hitting .391 with 19 doubles, 2 triples, 7 homers and 46 RBI's on the year. 

Levi Ransom, Heartland CC
Ransom went 5 for 13, hitting .385 with a triple and an RBI over the weekend to help Heartland go 2-2 vs. Lewis & Clark CC. Heartland is 31-18 overall and Ransom is hitting .244 on the year. 

Shakur Jackson, Heartland CC
Jackson went 6 for 17, hitting .353 on the weekend to help them split with Lewis & Clark CC. Heartland is 31-18 overall and Jackson is hitting .286 with 9 doubles, 2 homers and 16 RBI's on the year.

Ashton Creal, John A. Logan CC
Creal went 3 for 10, hitting .300 this past weekend as they beat Southwestern Illinois and Lincoln Trail. John A. Logan plays Rend Lake in the Region XXIV Championship Game coming up this week. John A. Logan is 43-12 overall.

Michael Oh
, NIACC
Oh took the loss vs. Southeastern CC in the opening round of the Region XI tournament, tossing 8 innings giving up 2 runs off 7 hits and 3 walks while striking out 8. NIACC then got eliminated after another loss to Des Moines. NIACC finished the year off 32-26 overall, and Oh was 5-3 with a 2.28 ERA with 73 strikeouts in 71 innings of work. Oh is off to North Carolina next season. 

Sean Hebreard, Blackhawk CC
Hebreard went 5 for 14, hitting .357 this past week with a double. Blackhawk is 23-18 on the year, and Hebreard is hitting .279 with 19 RBI's and 14 stolen bases.

Mike Bieterman, Heartland CC
Bieterman went 3 for 9, hitting .333 this past week. Heartland is 31-18 overall and Bieterman is hitting .333 on the year with 6 doubles, a homer and 13 RBI's.




Malcolm Grady, Campbellsville

Grady made a relief appearance in the opening round vs. Webber International where they took the loss. Grady threw 2.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. Campbellsville will take on Marian tomorrow in the Double Elimination format. Campbellsville is 31-19 overall and Grady leads the team with a 1.60 ERA and has 44 strikeouts in 45 innings of work.

Braden Mosley, Tennessee Wesleyan 
Mosley went 1 for 3 in the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament vs. Madonna. Tennessee Wesleyan won that game and take on Webber International in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Tennessee Wesleyan is 49-8 overall and Mosley is hitting .388 with 16 homers and 56 RBI's on the year.

Ben Zordani, Saint Xavier
Zordani went 2 for 4 with an RBI in opening round lost to Union (KY). Saint Xavier plays Indiana Southeast tomorrow in Double Elimination NAIA National Tournament format. Saint Xavier is 34-16 overall on the year.
