MLB Roundup:
Ryan Borucki, Toronto Blue Jays
Borucki made another quality start on the mound this past week vs. the New York Yankees. Borucki went 7 innings getting a no-decision giving up only 1 run on 7 hits and 2 walks while striking out 5. In his three starts since being called up to the Big Leagues, Borucki has a 2.25 ERA with 16 strikeouts in 20 innings of work.
Paul DeJong, St. Louis Cardinals
DeJong got activated to the Cardinals roster on July 6th for the San Francisco Giants series and DeJong picked up right where he left off collecting a hit in every game of the series going 3 for 11. DeJong is hitting .261 on the year with 8 home runs and 19 RBI’s.
Tanner Roark, Washington Nationals
Roark made two more starts this past week. Roark took two more losses vs. the Red Sox and Marlins. Roark gave up 13 runs combined in his two starts and is now 3-11 as a starter this year with the Nationals. Roark has a 4.76 ERA on the year.
MiLB Roundup:
Rob Scahill, Charlotte Knights (Affiliate of Chicago White Sox) Triple A
Scahill made three relief appearances this past week, tossing a total of 3 innings giving up 2 runs on 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. Scahill has a 4.50 ERA in Triple A with 47 strikeouts in 38 innings of work.
Jeremy Rhoades, Salt Lake Bees (Affiliate of Los Angeles Angels) Triple A
Rhoades made two relief appearances this past week, going a total of 3.1 innings giving up 4 runs on 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. Rhoades has a 5.33 ERA in Triple A with 23 strikeouts in 27 innings of work.
Tyler Ladendorf, Jackson Generals (Affiliate of Arizona Diamondbacks) Double A
Ladendorf got placed on the 7-Day Disabled List last week.
Karch Kowalczyk, Tulsa Drillers (Affiliate of Los Angeles Dodgers) Double A
Kowalczyk made two relief appearances this past week, tossing a total of 2.2 innings giving up 0 runs on 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 1. Kowalczyk has a 5.19 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 26 innings of work.
Jason Goldstein, Midland RockHounds (Affiliate to Oakland Athletics) Double A
Goldstein got promoted to Double A on July 6th. Goldstein went 3 for 11 with Stockton before he got pulled up last week. Goldstein is hitting .300 in the minors this year with 5 doubles, a homerun and 5 RBI’s.
Blake Hickman, Winston-Salem Dash (Affiliate to Chicago White Sox) High A
Hickman made two more starts this past week on the mound. Hickman picked up another win and in his two starts he went a combined 10 innings giving up 4 runs on 9 hits and 8 walks while striking out 7. Hickman has a 2-2 record with a 7.02 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 50 innings of work.
Adam Walton, Visalia Rawhide (Affiliate to Arizona Diamondbacks) High A
Walton went 5 for 15, hitting .333 this past week with 5 RBI’s. On the year, Walton is hitting .276 with 8 doubles, 2 homers, and 21 RBI’s.
Ryan Koziol, Augusta GreenJackets (Affiliate to San Francisco Giants) Low A
Koziol made one relief appearance this past week going 1 inning giving up 0 runs on 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 1. After that relief appearance, Koziol was placed on the 7-Day Disabled List. Koziol has a 2.55 ERA on the year.
Zach Lewis, Kannapolis Intimidators (Affiliate to Chicago White Sox) Low A
Lewis made one start on the mound this past week. Lewis got a no-decision, tossing 4.2 innings giving up 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 6. Lewis has a 2-2 record with a 3.28 ERA and has 44 strikeouts in 49.1 innings of work.
Will Kincanon, Kannapolis Intimidators (Affiliate to Chicago White Sox) Low A
Kincanon made one relief appearance this past week, going 2 innings giving up 0 runs on 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 2. Kincanon has a 3.75 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 12 innings of work this year.
Danny Mayer, Williamsport Crosscutters (Affiliate to Philadelphia Phillies) Low A Shortseason
Mayer went 5 for 20 this past week, hitting .250 with 3 RBI’s. Mayer is hitting .277 with Williamsport with 5 doubles, 2 triples, a homerun and 8 RBI’s.
Sean Hjelle, Salem-Keizek Volcanoes (Affiliate to San Francisco Giants) Low A Shortseason
Hjelle made one relief appearance this past week going 1 inning giving up 0 runs on only 1 hit. Hjelle will have limited action the whole rest of the year, due to the amount he threw at Kentucky this past college season.
Michael Costanzo, Princeton Rays (Affiliate to Tampa Bay Rays) Low A Rookie League
Costanzo made three relief appearances this past week, tossing a total of 3.2 innings giving up 0 runs on 4 hits while striking out 3. Costanzo picked up his 1st win in relief this past week in relief and has a 2.25 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 8 innings of work.
Marshawn Taylor, AZL D-Backs (Affiliate to Arizona Diamondbacks) Low A Rookie League
Taylor went 1 for 8 this past week with an RBI. Taylor is currently hititng .152 in 12 games.

Benson went 2 for 16 with a double this past week. Benson is currently hitting .255 on the year.

Turnbull didn’t pitch this past week. Turnbull currently is 2-4 with a 4.82 ERA.
Mitch Glasser, Sioux Falls Canaries (Independent League) American Association
Glasser went 3 for 17 this past week. Glasser is hitting .288 with his new squad.
Mitch Schulewitz, Schaumburg Boomers (Independent League) Frontier League
Schulewitz made two relief appearances this past week, going a total of 3.2 innings giving up 3 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 1. Schulewitz has a 2.66 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 23.1 innings of work this year.
