Week #2: Division I College Baseball, Top Tier Alumni Roundup:

Player of the Week:

Nick Ficarrotta, RHP, Florida
Ficarrotta had an absolute stellar weekend on the mound for the 15th ranked Florida Gators. He picked up a win in relief vs. Stetson in the midweek game tossing 4.2 scoreless innings giving up 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 6. Then Florida headed into the weekend set vs. Georgia State where Ficarrotta picked up a save and a win in two appearances, throwing a total of 4 more scoreless innings off 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 6. Florida beat Stetson and North Florida in the midweek games and swept Georgia State over the weekend to improve to 6-2 overall on the year. Ficarrotta is 2-0 with two saves on the year.

Dakota Kotowski, Missouri State
Kotowski had a huge weekend at the plate going 5 for 15, hitting .333 blasting 2 homers with 5 RBI's. Missouri State however lost to Oral Roberts in the mid-week game and lost 2 of 3 vs. Cal Poly over the weekend to fall to 3-4 overall on the year. 

Cam Minacci, Wake Forest
Minacci continued to look really good out of the bullpen for the Demon Deacons as he made two appearances this past week collecting a win in relief, going 2.2 total innings picking up a win giving up 0 runs off 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 5. Wake Forest beat UNC-Greensboro in the midweek game and swept New Jersey Tech over the weekend to improve to 8-0 overall on the year. 

Danny Doligale, Illinois
Doligale had a solid offensive weekend going 5 for 12, hitting .417 with two doubles and 2 RBI's. The Fighting Illini split with Middle Tennessee State and lost to Coastal Carolina to fall to 2-4 overall on the year. 

Andrew Zapka, Dayton
Zapka picked up his 1st win of the year in relief vs. Evansville this past weekend, where he tossed 2.1 scoreless innings off 1 hit and 0 walks while striking out 4. Dayton took 2 of 3 from Evansville to improve to 5-1 overall on the year. 

Paul Bergstrom, Creighton
Bergstrom picked up a win in relief this past weekend vs. Loyola Marymount. He tossed 3.2 scoreless innings off 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 4. Creighton won 2 of 3 vs. Loyola Marymount to improve to 2-5 overall on the year. 

Sean Sinisko, Illinois State
Sinisko picked up a win in his start this weekend vs. Western Carolina going 6 innings giving up only 1 run off 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. The Redbirds swept Western Carolina to improve to 4-2 overall on the year. 

Kevin Davis, USC-Upstate
Davis made two appearances this past week throwing a total of 1.1 innings picking up a win in relief and helping the Spartans beat West Carolina, Manhattan, Boston College and George Mason. Davis is now 2-0 in relief and USC-Upstate is 6-1 overall on the year. 

Derek Crum, Wake Forest
Crum made two relief appearances this past week for the Demon Deacons throwing a total of 3 scoreless innings giving up only 2 hits and 0 walks while striking out 2. Wake Forest beat UNC-Greensboro in midweek game and swept New Jersey Tech to improve to 8-0 overall on the year. 

Bryce Barnett, Xavier
Barnett threw really well but took the loss in his start vs. Oregon State this past weekend. Barnett threw 5 innings giving up 2 runs off only 1 hit and 4 walks while striking out 4. Xavier got swept by Oregon State and fell to 0-7 overall on the year. 

Chase Stanke, Minnesota
Stanke went 4 for 13 this past weekend, hitting .307 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI's and a walk. Minnesota beat Northeastern but lost to Florida Gulf Coast once and lost twice to Indiana State to fall to 2-6 overall on the year. 

Hunter Mink, South Florida
Mink made one relief appearance this past weekend tossing 1 inning of scoreless baseball giving up 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 1. USF swept Stony Brook over the weekend to improve to 4-2 overall on the year. 

Tanner Mink, South Florida
Mink also made one appearance, throwing 1 inning of scoreless baseball giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 1. USF swept Stony Brook and improved to 4-2 overall. 

Chase Centala, Central Florida
Centala made two appearances this past week. Centala got a midweek start vs. North Florida going 3.1 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 4 hits and 0 walks while striking out 3. Then he followed that up with a relief appearance over the weekend vs. Georgia Southern tossing 2.2 innings giving up 1 run off 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. UCF beat North Florida and took 2 of 3 from Georgia Southern to improve to 6-1 overall on the year. 

Gavin Doyle, Western Michigan
Doyle collected a hit in every game this past weekend vs. Kentucky, going 5 for 15, hitting .333 with 3 RBI's. Western Michigan got swept by Kentucky and fell to 1-5 overall on the year. 

Michael Oh, UNC-Charlotte
Oh made two relief appearances this past weekend vs. West Virginia picking up a save in the finale. In total, Oh tossed 2 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. Charlotte lost 2 of 3 to West Virginia and are 3-3 overall on the year. 

Dawson Place, Florida Gulf Coast
Place made one relief appearance this past weekend vs. Bethune-Cookman going 2 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. FGCU swept Bethune-Cookman to improve to 6-2 overall on the year. 

Jaylon Nauden, Butler
Nauden went 1 for 1 with a double in his one pinch hit appearance vs. Prairie View this past weekend. Butler beat Prairie View once and Jackson State twice to improve to 3-3 overall on the year. 

Isaiah Thompson, Indiana State
Thompson got two pinch hit appearances this past weekend vs. Minnesota and collected hits in both of his 1st collegiate at bats with a double and 3 RBI's. Indiana State beat Merrimack once and Minnesota twice to improve to 5-2 overall on the year. 

Colin Summerhill, Troy
Summerhill collected 3 hits this past weekend with 3 walks as well but Troy lost to Auburn in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to Jacksonville to fall to 5-3 overall on the year. 

Jack Carberry, Western Illinois
Carberry had a solid start for the Leathernecks vs. Arkansas-Little Rock but took the loss after tossing 5 innings giving up only 2 runs off 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. The Leathernecks got swept by Arkansas-Little Rock and fell to 1-5 overall on the year. 

Casey Kmet, Notre Dame
Kmet got in once this past weekend going 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI. The Fighting Irish beat Marist once and Monmouth twice to improve to 5-1 overall on the year. 

Antonio Brown, Mercer
Brown made 3 appearances and got one at bat this past weekend going 1 for 1 with a double and an RBI. Mercer beat Florida A&M twice and then took 2 of 3 from SIUE to improve to 7-1 overall on the year. 

Anthony Mangano, Iowa
Mangano got in twice this past weekend going 1 for 5 with a double as they beat Pepperdine but the lost to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Wichita State to fall to 4-2 overall on the year. 

Blake Wright, Clemson
Wright went 1 for 6 this past weekend with a double and 2 walks to help 16th ranked Clemson beat College of Charleston in the midweek game and sweep Hartford over the weekend to improve to 7-0 overall on the year. 

Marc DeGusipe, Florida Atlantic
DeGusipe got a midweek start vs. Miami and took the loss as he threw 2.2 innings giving up 4 runs off 7 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. FAU lost to Miami in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from Delaware over the weekend to move to 5-3 overall on the year.
