MLB Roundup:

Tanner Roark, Washington Nationals

Roark made one start this past week and took the loss vs Milwaukee to move to 8-14 overall. Roark went 6 innings giving up 4 runs on 6 hits while striking out 3. Roark owns a 4.03 ERA on the year.

Paul DeJong, St. Louis Cardinals

DeJong went 4 for 19 this past week with another homerun and 8 RBI’s. On the year, DeJong is hitting .230 with 15 homers and 50 RBI’s. The Cardinals are 77-62 overall and are 4.5 games out of 1st in the NL Central division.

Ryan Borucki, Toronto Blue Jays

Borucki made one start his past and took the loss vs. Tampa Bay moving him to 3-4 on the year. Borucki pitched well going 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 5. Borucki has a 4.39 ERA with 45 strikeouts in 69.2 innings of work.

MiLB Roundup:

Rob Scahill, Charlotte Knights (Affiliate of Chicago White Sox) Triple A

Scahill made two relief appearances this past week going a total of 3 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4. Scahill picked up a win in one of his outings moving him to 3-4 on the year with 5 saves. Scahill owns a 4.39 ERA with 71 strikeouts in 60.2 innings of work.

Jeremy Rhoades, Salt Lake Bees (Affiliate of Los Angeles Angels) Triple A

Rhoades made two relief appearances this past week going a total of 1.2 innings giving up 0 runs on 1 hit while striking out 3. Rhoades has been dominate out of the pen with a 6-4 record, 4 saves, an ERA of 2.87 and has 51 strikeouts in 53.1 innings of work in Triple A.

Tyler Ladendorf, Reno Aces (Affiliate of Arizona Diamondbacks) Triple A

Ladendorf collected a hit in every game this past week, going 9 for 20, hitting .450 with 2 RBI’s. Ladendorf is hitting .354 for Reno in Triple A.

Karch Kowalczyk, Tulsa Drillers (Affiliate of Los Angeles Dodgers) Double A

Kowalczyk made one relief appearance after being dropped back down to Double A going 2.2 innings with a save giving up 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 5. Kowalczyk has a 6.16 ERA with 31 strikeouts in 30.2 innings of work.

Jason Goldstein, Midland RockHounds (Affiliate to Oakland Athletics) Double A

Goldstein went 2 for 5 this past week and is currently hitting .164 in Double A.

Blake Hickman, Winston-Salem Dash (Affiliate to Chicago White Sox) High A

Hickman made two relief appearances this past week going a total of 2 innings giving up 0 runs on 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. Hickman picked up a win in one of his relief appearances moving him to 3-3, an ERA of 6.82 and has 54 strikeouts in 67.1 innings of work.

Adam Walton, Visalia Rawhide (Affiliate to Arizona Diamondbacks) High A

Walton went 4 for 13 this past week, hitting .307. Walton is currently hitting .267 on the year with 15 doubles, 5 homers and 36 RBI’s.

Ryan Koziol, Augusta GreenJackets (Affiliate to San Francisco Giants) Low A

Koziol got placed back on the 7-day disabled list after his rehab appearance last week.

Zach Lewis, Kannapolis Intimidators (Affiliate to Chicago White Sox) Low A

Lewis made one start this past week, picking up the win, going 5 innings giving up 1 run on 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 7. Lewis is 6-5 on the year with a 2.60 ERA, 3 saves, and 103 strikeouts in 130.2 innings of work.

Will Kincanon, Kannapolis Intimidators (Affiliate to Chicago White Sox) Low A

Kincanon made two relief appearances this past week, going a total of 4 innings giving up 0 runs on 0 hits and 3 walks while striking out 4. Kincanon is 3-1 with 4 saves, an ERA of 3.63 with 42 strikeouts in 34.2 innings of work.

Danny Mayer, Williamsport Crosscutters (Affiliate to Philadelphia Phillies) Low A Shortseason

Mayer went 0 for 11 this past week and is hitting .250 with Williamsport with 11 doubles, 5 homers and 19 RBI’s.

Sean Hjelle, Salem-Keizek Volcanoes (Affiliate to San Francisco Giants) Low A Shortseason

Hjelle made one relief appearance this past week going 2 innings giving up 0 runs on 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 3. Hjelle has 5.06 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 21.1 innings of work.

Michael Costanzo, Princeton Rays (Affiliate to Tampa Bay Rays) Low A Rookie League

Costanzo made one relief appearance this past week going 1.2 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits and 4 walks while striking out 2. Costanzo is 2-1 with 6 saves, an ERA of 2.08 ERA with 37 strikeouts in 26 innings of work.

Marshawn Taylor, AZL D-Backs (Affiliate to Arizona Diamondbacks) Low A Rookie League

Taylor didn’t play this past week.

Ryan Dunne, Billings Mustangs (Affiliate to Cincinnati Reds) Low A Rookie League

Dunne got the win in relief this past week going 3 innings giving up 0 runs on 0 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. Dunne is 2-0 with 5 saves, an ERA of 2.66 with 26 strikeouts in 23.2 innings of work.

Independent Baseball

Joe Benson, Chicago Dogs (Independent League) American Association
Benson went 5 for 11, hitting .455 with a double, a homer and 2 RBI’s to finish of the season this past week. Benson finished the year hitting .300 with 18 doubles, 3 triples, 9 homers and 38 RBI’s.

Kylin Turnbull, Chicago Dogs (Independent League) American Association
Turnbull finished the year with a 4-4 record with a 4.61 ERA and had 40 strikeouts in 64.1 innings pitched.

Mitch Glasser, Sioux Falls Canaries (Independent League) American Association
Glasser collected a hit in every game this past week, going 6 for 21. Glasser finished the year hitting .289 with 5 doubles and 19 RBI’s for Sioux Falls.

Mitch Schulewitz, Schaumburg Boomers (Independent League) Frontier League
Schulewitz finished the year with a 3-2 record, an ERA of 2.20 with 31 strikeouts in 32.2 innings pitched.

Jack Landwehr, Normal Cornbelters (Independent League) Frontier League
Landwehr finished the year with an 8-3 record, and ERA of 3.32 with 61 strikeouts in 81.1 innings pitched.

Anthony Ray, Pennsylvania Road Warriors (Independent League) Atlantic League
Ray went 1 for 9 to finish the season this past week. Ray finished hitting .236 with 5 doubles, 4 triples, 12 RBI’s and 13 stolen bases.
