Tanner Roark, Washington Nationals
Roark didn't throw this past week as his wife gave birth to a son a few days ago, and the team let him go back and be with his family. Roark may return for one final regular season start vs. the Rockies this weekend.
Ryan Borucki, Toronto Blue Jays
Borucki made one start this past week picking up the loss vs. the Tampa Bay Rays but throwing well in the process. Borucki went 7 strong innings giving up only 2 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 7. Borucki is 4-5 on the year with a 3.76 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 91 innings of work.
Paul DeJong, St. Louis Cardinals
DeJong collected a hit in every game but one this past week, going 9 for 32, hitting .281 with a homer, 3 doubles and 6 RBI's. DeJong is hitting .239 on the year with 19 homers, 1 triple, 23 doubles and 65 RBI's. The Cardinals are now 87-72 and are only 1 game out of the last National League Wildcard Playoff spot.
Rob Scahill, Chicago White Sox
Scahill made three relief appearances this past week, going at total of 1.1 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 1. Scahill has made five relief appearances since being called up and has thrown a total of 3 innings with a 6.00 ERA.
