This past week finally got almost every team in Division 1 to see action with the Big Ten getting to open up Conference play in different locations throughout the country. We got to see some of our Top Tier alums get quality innings on the mound and some hitters continuing their success as this week in college baseball continues.
Here are some of the highlights in Week #3 in college baseball from our Top Tier Alums:

Top Tier Alumni Player of the Week
Sean Sinisko, LHP, Illinois State
Sinisko had his best performance of the week, getting the Redbirds their only win on the weekend, throwing a complete game 7 inning 4 hitter giving up only one run with zero walks while striking out 7 vs. SEMO. ISU lost 3 of 4 vs. SEMO and fell to 3-6 overall on the year.
Jack Mahoney, RHP, South Carolina
Mahoney had a great weekend for the #14 ranked Gamecocks making two relief appearances vs. Mercer. In total, Mahoney threw 3.1 innings giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit with zero walks while striking out 5. South Carolina swept Mercer and improved to 10-0 overall on the year.
Cam Redding, C, Saint Louis
Redding went 6 for 16 this past week, hitting .375 with two doubles and 6 RBI's. Saint Louis to SIUE in the midweek and lost 2 of 3 to Kansas over the weekend to fall to 2-9 overall on the year.
Jordan Libman, OF, Illinois State
Libman went 8 for 16 this past weekend collecting a hit in every game, hitting .500 with a homer, two doubles and 4 RBI's. ISU lost 3 of 4 to SEMO this past weekend and slip to 3-6 overall on the year.
Andrew Hoffmann, RHP, Illinois
Hoffmann had a great start on opening day for the Fighting Illini vs. Ohio State going 6 innings giving up only 2 runs off 4 hits and zero walks while striking out 8. Illinois lost 3 of 4 vs. Ohio State to start the year 1-3 overall.
Vincent Massaglia, OF, Southern Illinois
Massaglia went 5 for 15 this past week, hitting .333 with a homer, two doubles and collected 5 RBI's. Southern Illinois beat Western Illinois in the midweek and swept UT-Martin over the weekend to improve to 11-0 overall on the year.
Andrew Zapka, RHP, Dayton
Zapka made one relief appearance this past weekend vs. Oakland, throwing 2.1 innings giving up 0 earned runs on only 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 1. Dayton split with Oakland over the weekend and are 3-7 overall on the year.
Dawson Place, RHP, High Point
Place got the win in the series finale vs. UNC-Asheville this past weekend where he went 5 innings giving up 4 runs off 6 hits and zero walks while striking out 5. High Point swept UNC-Asheville over the weekend and improved to 5-4 overall on the year.
Jacob Nagel, RHP, Bellarmine
Nagel pitched twice this past week and collected a win in relief in the midweek game vs. Eastern Illinois throwing 2 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 1. Nagel also got a start vs. Eastern Michigan in the weekend series finale where he got a no-decision throwing 5.2 innings giving up 6 runs off 7 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5. Bellarmine in their 1st year in D1 baseball split with Eastern Illinois and Eastern Michigan to move to 3-6 overall on the year.
Scott Youngbrandt, RHP, Saint Louis
Youngbrandt got a start in the series finale vs. Kansas this past weekend where he went 7 innings giving up 3 runs off 6 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. Saint Louis lost to SIUE in the midweek and lost 2 of 3 vs. Kansas to slip to 2-9 overall on the year.
Brandon McPherson, RHP, Northern Illinois
McPherson earned a no-decision in his start this past weekend vs. UT-Rio Grande Valley tossing 6 innings giving up 2 earned runs off 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3. NIU got swept by UT-Rio Grande Valley making the Huskies 1-6 overall on the year.
Jake Little, RHP, Saint Louis
Little made one relief appearance this past weekend tossing one scoreless inning giving out 0 hits and walks while striking out 2. SLU lost 2 of 3 to Kansas and are now 2-9 overall on the year.
Danny Doligale, OF, Illinois
Doligale went 3 for 10, hitting .300 with a double on opening weekend vs. Ohio State. Illinois lost 3 of 4 to Ohio State and are 1-3 overall on the year.
Tyler Snep, C/1B, Iowa
Snep went 2 for 3 with a double in his two games he played in this past weekend vs. Michigan. Iowa lost 3 of 4 vs. Michigan and start the year 1-3 overall.
Bryce Barnett, RHP, Arizona State
Barnett made his 1st relief appearance of the year this past weekend for the #19 ranked Sun Devils striking out the only batter he faced to secure the series finale vs. Utah. Arizona State swept Utah over the weekend and improved to 8-2 overall on the year.
Jack Carberry, RHP, Western Illinois
Carberry made two relief appearances this past week tossing a total of 4.2 innings giving up 2 runs off 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4. The Leathernecks lost to SIU in the midweek and lost 3 of 4 to Evansville over the weekend to fall to 2-6 overall on the year.
Austin Ehren, OF, Belmont
Ehren collected an RBI vs. #4 ranked Ole Miss this past weekend in his only at bat. Belmont got swept by Ole Miss and fall to 3-5 overall on the year.
Ryan Hampe, C, Illinois
Hampe went 4 for 19 on opening weekend vs. Ohio State with a double and 3 RBI's. Illinois lost 3 of 4 vs. Ohio State and are 1-3 overall to start the year.
Nick Laxner, RHP, Eastern Illinois
Laxner made one relief appearance vs. Kansas State this past weekend, tossing one inning giving up 1 run off 2 hits. The Panthers took 2 of 3 vs. Kansas State this past weekend to improve to 7-5 overall on the year.
Dakota Kotowski, OF, Missouri State
Kotowski collected 3 hits this past weekend with another homer and 2 RBI's. Missouri State lost to #13 ranked Oklahoma State and beat Tarleton State and Central Arkansas to improve to 5-3 overall on the year.
Andrew Wilhite, OF, Minnesota
Wilhite collected 3 hits on opening weekend vs. Indiana and Rutgers with a double. Minnesota split with Rutgers and lost both to Indiana and are 1-3 overall to start the year.
Ryan Howe, INF, Purdue
Howe went 1 for 1 in his pinch hit in the opening weekend vs. Nebraska. Purdue dropped 3 of 4 to the Huskers and are 1-3 overall to start the year.
Nick Jones, C, Memphis
Jones went 1-2 with a walk this past weekend vs. Baylor. Memphis got swept by Baylor and fall to 4-5 overall on the year.
Grant Leader, RHP, Illinois
Leader made one relief appearance on opening weekend vs. Ohio State where he threw 3.2 innings giving up 3 runs off 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. The Fighting Illini lost 3 of 4 to start the year 1-3 overall.
Noah Berghammer, INF, Minnesota
Berghammer went 1 for 4 and got a start on opening weekend at shortstop for the Gophers. Minnesota split with Rutgers and lost twice to Indiana to start the year 1-3 overall.
