Player of the Week:


Daniel Pacella, OF, Illinois State
Pacella earned Collegiate News National Player of the Week for his huge offensive power surge he put up for the Redbirds. Pacella went 6 for 20 over the week, hitting .300 with 4 homers and 8 RBI's. The Redbirds lost a tough one run ballgame to the 3rd ranked, Arkansas Razorbacks in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to Central Arkansas over the weekend to fall to 5-6 overall on the year. But Pacella continues to impress as a true freshman in the lineup for Illinois State as he now has 6 total homers and 15 RBI's for the season so far with a batting average over .300.

Cade Kurland
, INF, Florida
Kurland continues to due a ton of damage as a freshman in the 6th ranked Gators offense this past week. Kurland went 9 for 25, hitting .360 with 2 more homers, a double and collected 9 more RBI's. Florida split with Jacksonville in the midweek games and won 2 of 3 vs. 22nd ranked, Miami over the weekend to improve to 10-3 overall on the year. 


Cam Minacci, RHP, Wake Forest
Minacci hasn't had to do much as the closer for the Demon Deacons so far as they have been blowing out all their opponents, but this week he got tuned up in some good ball games earning two saves in his two attempts throwing a total of 3 innings giving up only 1 run off 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 6. Wake Forest is ranked 2nd in the nation and beat UNCW, IPFW, Ball State and Cornell this past week to improve to 13-0 overall on the year. 


Colin Summerhill, Utility, Northern Illinois
Summerhill had a great weekend offensively for the Huskies as he went 5 for 13, hitting .385 with a homer and 3 RBI's. NIU split with Western Kentucky over the weekend and are 3-8 overall on the year. 


Ryan Thiesse, OF, Fordham
Thiesse had one of his best weeks for the Rams this past weekend as he went 6 for 17, hitting .353 but the Rams however got swept by North Florida and are 0-10 overall on the year. 


Noah Edders, RHP, Bradley
Edders made one relief appearance this past weekend for the Braves and looked great. Edders went 3 scoreless innings giving up only 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 4. Bradley won 2 of 3 vs. Jacksonville State and improved to 4-4 overall on the year. 


Jack Mahoney, RHP, South Carolina
Mahoney had another quality start for the 23rd ranked Gamecocks this past weekend vs. Clemson. Mahoney went 4 innings giving up only 1 run off 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. South Carolina beat North Carolina A&T in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from Clemson over the weekend to improve to 11-1 overall on the year. 


Blake Wright, INF, Clemson
Wright continues to look great for the Tigers as he went 5 for 16, hitting .313 with a double and 3 RBI's this past week. The Tigers however lost to USC-Upstate in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to in-state rival South Carolina to fall to 5-6 overall.


Scott Youngbrandt, RHP, Missouri State
Youngbrandt earned a win in relief over the weekend vs. Arkansas State where he tossed 2.2 scoreless innings giving up only 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 2. Youngbrandt came in relief one other time at the end of the weekend going 0.2 innings giving up 1 run off 1 hit and 2 walks. Missouri State lost to 12th ranked Oklahoma State in the midweek game but took 2 of 3 vs Arkansas State over the weekend to move to 7-4 overall on the year. 


Anthony Livermore, INF, Northwestern
Livermore had a very good offensive weekend for the Wildcats as he went 5 for 14, hitting .357 with a double. However, the Wildcats got swept by Louisiana Tech and are 0-9 overall on the year. 


Marc DeGusipe, LHP, Florida Atlantic
DeGusipe earned a win in relief vs. 22nd ranked Miami in the midweek game tossing 2 scoreless innings off 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 1. He only got 0.1 innings of relief vs. UConn on the weekend and gave up 1 run off 2 hits. FAU beat Miami in the midweek game but got swept by UConn over the weekend to fall to 7-4 overall on the year. 


Renzo Gonzalez, OF, Miami
Gonzalez went 3 for 6 this past week a homer and an RBI for 22nd ranked Miami. Miami lost to FAU in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to in-state rival Florida over the weekend to fall to 8-4 overall on the year. 


Brock Graf, RHP, Saint Louis
Graf made two relief appearances this past week. First one came vs. SIU in the midweek game where he went 2.1 scoreless innings giving up only 2 hits. Then he earned his 1st win of the season vs. St. Thomas in relief tossing 1 inning giving up 2 runs off 3 hits and 0 walks. Saint Louis beat SIU in the midweek game and swept St. Thomas to improve to 7-3 overall on the year.


Khyle Radcliffe, OF, Southern
Radcliffe continues to hit for the Jaguars as he went 4 for 13, hitting .307 this past week collecting 4 more RBI's. Southern however lost to McNeese State, Iowa, Pepperdine and South Alabama this past week and fell to 4-7 overall on the year. 


Tanner Mink, RHP, South Florida
Mink made two relief appearances this past week. His first appearance came in the midweek game vs. 16th ranked Florida State where he tossed 2 scoreless innings giving up 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. His 2nd appearance came vs. Northeastern where he tossed 1.1 innings giving up 1 run off  2 hits and 0 walks while striking out 2. USF lost to Florida State and got swept by Northeastern to fall to 3-9 overall on the year. 


Gavin Doyle, INF, Western Michigan
Doyle collected 4 hits this past weekend with two doubles and 2 RBI's as the Broncos beat Bucknell twice and split with North Carolina A&T to improve to 3-7 overall on the year. 


Mason Miller, LHP, Florida Gulf Coast
Miller got a No-Decision in his start vs. Florida State this past weekend. Miller tossed 3.2 innings giving up 3 earned runs off 7 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4 vs. the 16th ranked team in the nation. FGCU beat FIU in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from Florida State over the weekend to improve to 10-2 overall on the year. 


Will Parkinson, LHP, Columbia
Parkinson got the win in relief vs. UNCW this past weekend where he tossed 3.2 innings giving up 3 runs off 5 hits and 0 walks while striking out 1. Columbia split with UNCW and are now 2-5 overall on the year. 


Evan Jones, RHP, Western Kentucky
Jones made one relief appearance this past week tossing 1.2 innings giving up 1 run off 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. WKU lost to Bellarmine in the midweek game and split with NIU over the weekend to improve to 9-4 overall on the year. 


Joe Shapiro, LHP, Western Michigan
Shapiro made two relief appearances this past weekend throwing a total of 1.1 innings giving up 0 runs off 2 hits. Western Michigan improved to 3-7 overall after beating Bucknell twice and splitting with North Carolina A&T.


Brady Miller, RHP, Western Michigan
Miller got a No-Decision for his start vs. North Carolina A&T after he went 6 innings giving up only 2 earned runs off 9 hits and 0 walks while striking out 5. Western Michigan is now 3-7 overall on the year. 


Brendan Summerhill, OF, Arizona
Summerhill went 1 for 5 with a double and 3 walks this past week for the Wildcats. Arizona beat California Baptist in the midweek game and swept North Dakota State to improve to 8-3 overall on the year.
