Week #4: NCAA Division I College Baseball, Top Tier Alumni Roundup
This week saw lots of Top Tier Alums have huge weeks in Division I College Baseball. Youngbrandt had his best career start for Saint Louis throwing 7 scoreless innings to pick a win, Massaglia continues to put up huge slugging stats for the 25th ranked Salukis, Mahoney continues to pitch under a 1.00 ERA out of the bullpen for 12th ranked South Carolina, Redding has a career day going a perfect 6 for 6 in one of his games this past weekend vs. Western Illinois along with many more accolades for our alums. Here are the highlights from Week 4:

Division I Player of the Week:

Scott Youngbrandt, RHP, Saint Louis
Youngbrandt threw a gem for the Billikens getting the win vs. Western Illinois this past weekend. Youngbrandt threw 7 scoreless innings giving up only 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7. This was Youngbrandt's best outing of his career and helped him earn Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week. Saint Louis is now 4-11 overall on the year after taking 2 of 3 from the Leathernecks this past weekend.  

Best of the Rest in Division I baseball this past week:

Vincent Massaglia, OF, Southern Illinois
Massaglia continued to rip the cover off baseballs this past week going 6 for 14, hitting .429 with 2 homers, a double and collecting 8 RBI's. Southern Illinois beat Evansville 3 out of 4 games this past weekend and improved to 14-1 overall and are ranked 25th in the nation. Massaglia is hitting .346 with 4 doubles, 6 homers and has 19 RBI's already this season with a slugging percentage of .769. 

Ryan Hampe, C, Illinois
Hampe had a hit in every game this past weekend vs. Minnesota, going 7 for 11, hitting .636 with a homer and an RBI. Illinois beat Minnesota in 3 of 4 games and improved to 4-4 overall on the year. 

Jack Mahoney, RHP, South Carolina
Mahoney made two relief appearances this past weekend for the 12th ranked Gamecocks. Mahoney threw a total of 2.2 innings giving up 0 runs off only 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4 vs. the 19th ranked Texas Longhorns. South Carolina however got swept over the weekend and fell to 11-3 overall on the year. Mahoney has made 7 appearances tossing 10.1 innings striking out 15 hitters with an 0.87 ERA. 

Cam Redding, C, Saint Louis
Redding went 6 for 12, hitting .500 this past weekend with two doubles and RBI. The Billikens lost to Missouri in the midweek game but took 2 of 3 from Western Illinois over the weekend to move to 4-11 overall. Redding is leading the team in average hitting .345 with 14 RBI's. 

Chase Centala, RHP, Florida
Centala made two relief appearances this past week for the 5th ranked, Florida Gators. Centala threw 2 innings vs. Stetson in a midweek game giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. Centala threw another scoreless inning vs. Jacksonville over the weekend giving up only 1 hit. Florida went on to beat Georgia State and Stetson in the midweek games and took 2 of 3 from Jacksonville over the weekend to improve to 13-4 overall. Centala has made 5 appearances for the Gators tossing 9.2 innings with 7 strikeouts and has a 2.79 ERA.

Andrew Hoffmann, RHP, Illinois
Hoffmann threw another great game vs. Minnesota this past weekend earning a no-decision tossing 6.2 innings giving up 0 earned runs off only 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 9. Illinois took 3 of 4 from Minnesota and improved to 4-4 overall on the year. 

Brandon McPherson, RHP, Northern Illinois
McPherson had his best start of the year vs. Kansas State this past weekend, where he tossed 8 innings giving up only 1 run off 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 9. However, the Huskies loss twice to Kansas State and twice to Rice this past weekend to fall to 1-10 overall. McPherson on the year has made 4 appearances with 2 starts earning 1 save with an ERA of 3.63  with 17 strikeouts in 17.1 innings of work. 

Bobby Seymour, 1B, Wake Forest
Seymour went 3 for 7 this past weekend vs. the 6th ranked Miami Hurricanes this past weekend with a homer, two doubles and an RBI. The Demon Deacons however dropped both games and slip to 3-6 overall on the year.

Stephen Hill, 3B, Morehead State
Hill went 6 for 14, hitting .429 this past week with a homer, two doubles and collected 2 RBI's. Morehead State beat Ohio in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from Eastern Kentucky to improve to 7-7 overall on the year. 

Mason Miller, LHP, Florida Gulf Coast
Miller got a win in relief this past weekend vs. South Florida where he tossed 2.2 scoreless innings on 0 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3. Florida Gulf Coast swept USF over the weekend and improved to 10-4 overall on the year. 

Andrew Zapka, RHP, Dayton
Zapka threw in relief in the series finale vs. North Dakota State this past weekend and went two scoreless innings giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 2. Dayton dropped all three games to North Dakota State and fall to 3-10 overall on the year. Zapka has made 5 appearances for the Flyers and has a 1.00 ERA in 9 innings of work with 7 strikeouts and holding opponents to a .109 batting average. 

Keaton Rice, C, Bradley
Rice collected a hit in every game this past weekend, going 3 for 8 with two doubles, an RBI and 5 walks. Bradley won 2 of 3 vs. Alabama State to improve to 5-4 overall on the year. Rice's on base percentage is .423 on the year. 

Danny Doligale, OF, Illinois
Doligale went 4 for 16 this past weekend vs. Minnesota with a double, an RBI and earning 4 walks. Illinois beat Minnesota 3 out 4 games this past weekend and improved to 4-4 overall. 

Jordan Libman, OF, Illinois State
Libman went 4 for 16 with 2 RBI's this past weekend vs. Missouri. ISU dropped 3 out of 4 games to the Tigers and are now 5-9 overall on the year. Libman is leading the team in batting average for the Redbirds, hitting .339. 

Austin Blazevic, 1B, SEMO
Blazevic went 3 for 12 this past weekend vs. SIUE collecting 6 RBI's. SEMO took 2 of 3 from SIUE to improve to 7-7 overall on the year. 

Jake Little, RHP, Saint Louis 
Little got a start in the midweek game vs. Missouri where he went 3 strong innings giving up only one run off 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 2. Saint Louis lost to Missouri in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from Western Illinois to move to 4-11 overall. 

Kevin Davis, RHP, USC-Upstate
Davis continues his dominance out of the bullpen for the Spartans as he tossed 1.1 innings of relief vs. Clemson in the midweek game giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. USC-Upstate beat Clemson in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to Campbell over the weekend and are now 11-2 overall. Davis has made 4 appearances with 2 saves in 6 innings of work with 13 strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA. 

Jack Carberry, RHP, Western Illinois 
Carberry threw well in relief vs. Illinois State in the midweek game but took the loss in his efforts. Carberry went 3.1 innings giving up only 1 run off 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. Western Illinois lost to ISU and lost 2 of 3 to Saint Louis over the weekend to fall to 3-9 overall on the year. 

Anthony Livermore, INF, Northwestern
Livermore went 2 for 3 this past weekend with a walk and a stolen base as they took 3 of 4 vs. Michigan State to improve to 5-3 overall on the year. 

Cosi Scinta
, RHP, North Alabama
Scinta threw in relief vs. UT-Martin and went 0.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. North Alabama beat UT-Martin in the midweek game and got swept by Liberty over the weekend to fall to 1-12 overall. 

Ryan Thiesse, OF, Fordham
Thiesse picked up his 1st collegiate hits this past week. Fordham beat Stonybrook and Sacred Heart in the midweek games and took 2 of 3 vs. Fairleigh Dickinson over the weekend to improve to 7-1 overall. 

Blake Wright, INF, Clemson
Wright went 1 for 7 this past week with 4 walks for the Tigers. Clemson had a rough week getting beat by USC-Upstate in the midweek game and got swept by the 18th ranked North Carolina Tarheels over the weekend to fall to 5-8 overall.
