Here are the highlights from Week #4 in college baseball at the D2/D3, NAIA and JUCO level by our Top Tier Alums:

Top Tier Alumni Player of the Week:

Jimmy Carey
, INF, St. Charles (JUCO)

Carey collected multiple hits in all four games he played in this past weekend for the Cougars. Carey went 9 for 14, hitting a staggering .643 with a double and collected 6 RBI's. St. Charles split with State Fair CC and are now 4-6 overall on the year. 

Best of the Rest in College Baseball (D2/D3/NAIA/JUCO)

Colin Summerhill
, C, Triton (JUCO)

Summerhill continues to be one of the hottest hitters in JUCO baseball where he went 5 for 12 this past weekend, hitting .417 with two doubles, a homer and collected 5 more RBI's. Triton beat College of Lake County and Elgin CC both twice to improve to 12-6 overall on the year. 

Brian Lyle, INF, University of Chicago (Division III)

Lyle had a great weekend at the plate going 7 for 9, hitting .778 with two doubles, a homer and collected 3 RBI's. University of Chicago beat Knox College twice to improve to 3-2 overall on the year. 

Connor Blake, INF, Illinois Institute of Technology (Division III)

Blake went 4 for 8 over the weekend, hitting .500 with a double and 3 RBI's. IIT beat Wisconsin-Lutheran twice in the opener to move to 2-0 overall to start the year. 

Brock Bevil, RHP, Benedictine (Division III)

Bevil made his college debut on the mound in relief vs. Ripon to help preserve the win. Bevil went 2 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 1. Benedictine beat Ripon twice and split with Lakeland to improve to 3-4 overall on the year. 

Mitch Farris, LHP/OF, Wingate (Division II)

Farris got his 2nd win of the season on the mound in his start vs. Coker, tossing 6 innings giving up 3 runs off 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 11. Farris was equally as good at the plate on the weekend going 3 for 8, hitting .375 with two doubles and an RBI. Wingate took 3 of 4 from Coker and improved to 13-7 overall on the year. 

Nick Villasenor, LHP, St. Francis (NAIA)

Villasenor picked up a win on the mound this past weekend vs. Olivet Nazarene. Villasenor went 6 scoreless innings giving up only 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. St. Francis took 2 of 3 from Olivet Nazarene and are 4-7 overall.

Anthony Rios, C, Lewis (Division II)

Rios went 5 for 16 over the weekend, hitting .313 with two doubles and 2 RBI's vs. #14 ranked University of Illinois-Springfield. Lewis lost 3 of 4 to UIS and are now 5-7 overall on the year. 

Andrew Padilla, RHP, Webster (Division III)

Padilla went 3 strong innings in the series finale vs. Blackburn this past weekend giving up 0 earned runs off 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 2. Webster swept Blackburn and improved to 10-1 overall on the year. 

Austin Divello, RHP, Coe (Division III)

Divello threw 2 innings in relief in the series finale vs. Central College this past weekend. Divello gave up 0 runs on only 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 3. Coe College went on to take 3 of 4 games from Central College to improve to 7-2 overall on the year. 

Michael Schalasky, RHP, UIndy (Division II)

Schalasky got a start vs. Truman State this past weekend where he threw 3 scoreless innings off 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 1. UIndy swept Truman State and improved to 7-7 overall on the year. 

TJ Byrd, OF, Young Harris (Division II)

Byrd went a perfect 3 for 3 this past weekend with a homer, a double and collected 3 RBI's. Young Harris swept Claflin to improve to 10-6 overall on the year. 

Max Engstrom, LHP, Indiana Wesleyan (NAIA)

Engstrom earned his 1st save this past weekend vs. Goshen College going 2 innings giving up 0 runs on 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. Engstrom threw another inning in the finale giving up 0 earned runs on 0 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2 as well. Indiana Wesleyan swept Goshen and improved to 18-8 overall. 

Nick Baldassano, INF, Aurora (Division III)

Baldassano went 2 for 5 this past weekend with a double and an RBI to help Aurora beat Edgewood College twice to improve to a perfect 9-0 overall on the year. 

Chris Cuppini, RHP, Young Harris (Division II)

Cuppini threw 2 innings of relief this past weekend vs. Claflin giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit while striking out 3. Young Harris swept Claflin and are now 10-6 overall on the year. 

Connor Tomasic, RHP/INF, South Suburban (JUCO)

Tomasic got a win in his start vs. Carl Sandburg going 6 innings giving up 3 runs off 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 10. Tomasic also went 3 for 7 at the plate with a homer and 2 RBI's. 

Brenden Heiss, RHP, Southeastern (NAIA)

Heiss threw one inning of relief vs. 25th ranked Webber International this past weekend where he gave up 0 earned runs off 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 2. Southeastern is ranked 2nd in the nation in NAIA and took 2 of 3 from Webber to improve to 26-2 overall. 

Ashton Schwab, LHP, Oakton (JUCO)

Schwab took the loss vs. Joliet JC tossing a solid 4 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 5 hits and 4 walks while striking out 4. Oakton lost to Joliet and Elgin in their opening weekend to move to 0-2 overall on the year. 

Khyle Radcliffe, OF, Allen County (JUCO)

Radcliffe went 2 for 8 with a homer, a double, an RBI and 5 walks over the week. Allen County beat Neosho twice and then took 3 of 4 vs. Carl Albert State to improve to 16-4 overall on the year. 

Andy Booth, LHP, St. Leo (Division II)

Booth threw 3.1 innings of relief vs. Palm Beach Atlantic and gave up only 1 run off 4 hits and 0 walks while striking out 1. St. Leo dropped 2 of 3 to Palm Beach Atlantic and are 2-4 overall on the year. 

Jake Lotz, LHP, Lewis (Division II)

Lotz made two relief appearances vs. UIS this past weekend. Lotz went a total of 2.1 innings giving up only 1 run off 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5. Lewis lost 3 of 4 vs. #14 ranked UIS to fall to 5-7 overall. 

Jimmy Burnette, LHP, St. Leo (Division II)

Burnette took the loss in the series finale vs. Palm Beach Atlantic this past weekend, where he went 5 innings giving up 3 earned runs off 7 hits and 4 walks while striking out 7. St. Leo dropped 2 of 3 to Palm Beach Atlantic and are now 2-4 overall. 

AJ Casmer, RHP, Lewis (Division II)

Casmer made one relief appearance vs. UIS where he threw a scoreless inning giving up 0 hits and 2 walks while striking out 1. Lewis lost 3 of 4 to UIS and slip to 5-7 overall. 

Eric Lundell, RHP, Concordia-St. Paul (Division II)

Lundell threw a scoreless inning of relief vs. Minnesota-Duluth this past weekend, giving up 0 hits while striking out 1. Concordia-St. Paul took 3 of 4 from Minnesota-Duluth and are now 6-2 overall on the year. 

Ari Gordon, RHP, Parkland (JUCO)

Gordon threw a scoreless inning of relief giving up 0 hits with 2 strikeouts vs. Muskegon. Parkland won twice vs. Muskegon and are now 8-3 overall. 

Dave Navarro, C, Illinois Institute of Technology (Division III)

Navarro went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI's in their opening weekend to help IIT beat Wisconsin-Lutheran twice to go to 2-0 overall. 

Ronnie Nowak, INF, Marshalltown (JUCO)

Nowak collected 3 hits this past week with an RBI. Marshalltown split with Ellsworth and got swept by Iowa Central to fall to 4-10 overall on the year. 

Will Gibbs
, INF, Olney Central (JUCO)

Gibbs went 1 for 2 with a walk and a stolen base this past weekend, where they split with Ivy Tech CC Northeast and moved to 13-5 overall.
