Week 5: MLB/MiLB Alumni Roundup:
Paul DeJong continues to stay hot for 1st place NL Central Cardinals and is currently riding a 8-game hitting streak. 

Paul DeJong, St. Louis Cardinals

DeJong collected a hit in every game this past week, going 10 for 25, hitting .400 with a homer, 3 doubles and 2 RBI's. The Cardinals went on to sweep Milwaukee and take 2 of 3 from the Reds this past week to improve to 17-10 and 1st place in the NL Central Division. DeJong is riding an 8-game hitting streak, and is hitting .342 on the year with 12 doubles, a triple, 5 homers and 13 RBI's. 

Tanner Roark, Cincinnati Reds

Roark took his 1st loss of the season this past week in his one start vs. the Atlanta Braves. Roark threw well, going 5 innings giving up only 1 earned runs off 6 hits and 3 walks while striking out 4. The Reds are struggling however, losing 2 of 3 to the Braves and 2 of 3 to the Cardinals this past week and slipping to 11-16 overall and last place in the NL Central Division. Roark is 1-1 with a 3.24 ERA and has 24 strikeouts in 25 innings of work in 5 starts. 

MiLB Alumni Roundup:

Jeremy RhoadesSalt Lake Bees, Triple A  (LA Angels Affiliate)

Rhoades made two relief appearances this past week, throwing for a total of 3 innings giving up 2 earned runs off 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. Rhoades is 1-1 on the year with a 9.28 ERA and has 10 strikeouts in 10.2 innings of work. 

Zach Lewis, Winston-Salem Dash, High A (Chicago White Sox Affiliate)

Lewis made on relief appearance this past week, tossing 3.1 innings giving up 1 run off 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6. Lewis is 2-1 on the year with a 5.95 ERA and has 19 strikeouts in 19.2 innings of work. 

Will Kincanon, Winston-Salem Dash, High A (Chicago White Sox Affiliate)

Kincanon made one relief appearance this past week, going 2 innings giving up 1 earned run off 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. Kincanon owns an 0-2 record with a 2.08 ERA and has 11 strikeouts in 8.2 innings of work. 

Danny Mayer, Clearwater Threshers, Low A (Philadelphia Phillies Affiliate)

Mayer collected one hit in the three games he played this past week. Mayer is hitting .152 this year with 2 homers. 

Sean Hjelle, Augusta GreenJackets, Low A (San Francisco Giants Affiliate)

Hjelle took the loss in his one start this past week. Hjelle went 3 innings giving up 3 earned runs off 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. On the year, Hjelle is 0-2 with a 3.57 ERA and has 22 strikeouts in 22.2 innings of work.
