Week #5 Top Tier Alumni Roundup: Top Performances in College Baseball

, Kentucky
Hjelle threw a complete game shutout to get the win versus #22 ranked, Texas A&M. In his outing he gave up 4 hits, one walk and struck out a career-high 9 A&M batters. He is now 3-1 on the year with a 4.99 ERA. Kentucky swept Texas A&M on the weekend to improve to 16-6 on the year and 3-0 in the SEC. This outstanding performance by Hjelle earned him SEC Pitcher of the Week.

Luke Johnson, Bucknell
Johnson had a huge offensive week in Port Charlotte, Florida going 10 for 18, hitting a staggering .555 average with 2 RBI’s. This huge week helped Bucknell to take 2 of 3 on the weekend from UMass.

Quinn Snarskis, Saint Joseph’s (IN)
Snarskis helped his 19th ranked Pumas get a win, tossing 8 innings giving up 0 runs on 4 hits, 2 walks while striking out 8. The Pumas improve to 14-2 on the year and swept all four games on the weekend vs. Missouri S&T.

Dalton Parker, Purdue
Parker got two relief appearances this past weekend vs. Santa Clara, and picked up 2 more saves. In his 2 appearances he went a total of 2.1 innings giving up 0 runs on 1 hit, 1 walk while striking out 3. The Boilermakers won all four games on the weekend vs. Santa Clara.

Chris Myjak, Butler
Myjak has became the staple on the back end of the bullpen for the Bulldogs as he picked up his 5th and 6th save this past weekend as they swept Saint Louis. Myjak went 2 innings total in his two appearances giving up 0 runs on 1 hit, 3 walks while striking out 2.

Zach Lewis, Wichita State
Lewis threw a gem helping the Shockers get the win vs. Cal Poly. He went 7 scoreless innings giving up 4 hits, 2 walks while striking out 6. The Shockers lost 2 of 3 this past weekend vs. Cal Poly.

Ben Browdy, Wash U
Browdy had another explosive week in Florida going 10 for 22, hitting a cool .455. He hit 2 more home runs, 2 doubles while collecting another 7 RBI’s.

Kevin Sullivan, Middle Tennessee State
Sullivan collected hits in every game this past weekend, going 5 for 11, hitting .455 with 3 doubles and 2 RBI’s. MTSU however got swept on the weekend vs. Florida Atlantic.

Kyle Colletta, Northern Kentucky
Colletta had a big offensive weekend going 5 for 10 with a double and 7 RBI’s to help NKU win all three games vs. UW-Milwaukee this past weekend.

Trey Schramm, Xavier
Schramm got the win in relief this past weekend vs. Ohio State going 4 innings scoreless giving up 2 hits, 0 walks and striking out 2. Xavier won all 3 games vs. Ohio State this past weekend.

Matt Sullivan, Chicago State
Sullivan had a huge weekend going 5 for 12, hitting .417 with 2 RBI’s. Chicago State, however lost 2 of 3 vs. Eastern Kentucky this past weekend.

Michael Schalasky, Indianapolis
Schalasky got his 3rd win of the year, going 8 innings giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, 2 walks while striking out 3. This effort helped the 17th ranked Greyhounds take 2 of 3 vs. Alderson Broaddus this past weekend and improved their team to 12-5.

Dalton Hottle, Lewis
Hottle got the win for Lewis vs. Truman State tossing 6.1 innings giving up one run on 2 hits, 1 walk while striking out 6. Lewis took 3 of 4 from Truman State this past weekend.

Brad Margolin, Wash U
Margolin got the win vs. 24th ranked Suffolk this past week in Florida going 8 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 6 hits, 1 walk while striking out 12. He is 3-0 on the year on the bump.

Jesse Forestell, Western Michigan
Forestell had a hit in every game this past weekend going 4 for 11, hitting .367 with 2 doubles and 4 walks. He helped the Broncos take 2 of 3 vs. Evansville this past weekend.

Sam Cottingham-Beard, Western Illinois
Cottingham-Beard got his 1st save of the year, throwing 1.1 innings of relief giving up 0 runs on 1 hit, 0 walks while striking out 3. This effort helped the Leathernecks to take 2 of 3 from IPFW.

Ben Dickey, Northwestern
Dickey went 3 for 9 hitting .333 this past weekend with and RBI and 2 walks. Northwestern lost 3 of 4 vs. Central Michigan.

Anthony Drago, Illinois
Drago went 2 for 5 hitting .400 this past weekend with a double.

Jack Landwehr, Illinois State
Landwehr made 2 appearances this past weekend, throwing 4.2 innings total giving up 0 runs on 1 hit, 2 walks while striking out 2. This solid effort however didn’t help the Redbirds cause as they got swept by Lipscomb this past weekend.

Mitch Vogrin, Illinois State
Vogrin made 2 appearances in relief as well this past weekend, tossing a total of 3 innings giving up 1 run on 5 hits, 1 walk while striking out 3.

Mike Shereyk, SIUE
Shereyk threw 1.1 innings of relief this past weekend giving up 0 runs on 3 hits and 1 walk. SIUE however got swept by Tennessee Tech this past weekend.

Zak Devermann, Illinois
Devermann got 1 inning of relief work in this past weekend giving up 0 runs on 1 hit while striking out 1. The Fighting Illini however loss both to Southern Illinois and split with Toledo this past weekend.

Tyler Lass, Northwestern
Lass got 1 inning of relief work out of the bullpen this past weekend giving up 0 runs on 1 hit while striking out 2.

Peyton Isaacson, Coastal Carolina
Isaacson stayed hot at the plate collecting 4 more hits this past weekend vs. Texas State. However, Coastal Carolina lost 2 of 3 vs. Texas State this past weekend.

Brett Newberg, Austin Peay
Newberg made 2 relief appearances this past weekend, throwing a total of 4.1 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits, 3 walks while striking out 5.

Robert Kametas, Saint Joseph’s (IN)
Kametas threw 1 inning of relief this past weekend giving up 0 runs on 0 hits, 1 walk while striking out 1.

Matt Burch, Arkansas
Burch collected 3 hits this past week and played in 5 of the 6 games. Arkansas won all 6 of its games with a sweep over SEC rival Mississippi State this past weekend. Arkansas is now 17-4 on the year and 3-0 in the SEC.
