Ryan Altenberger, Xavier @RAltenberger
Altenberger had an unbelievable weekend against Miami (OH) going 6 for 13, hitting .462 with two homeruns, a double and 2 RBI’s. It was a breakout weekend for the freshman as he helped Xavier sweep Miami (OH) and improve to 7-12 overall. As a true freshman Altenberger steadies the middle infield for the Musketeers.
Welby Malczewski, Auburn @Welbys_World
Malczewski picked up two wins in relief this past week for the 6th ranked Tigers. He went 2 innings of relief vs. Memphis in the mid-week game giving up 0 runs on 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4. Welby picked up his 2nd win on the weekend in SEC play vs. Texas A&M, where he went 3.1 innings giving up 0 earned runs on 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 4. Auburn beat Memphis and Georgia Tech in the mid-week and took 2 of 3 from Texas A&M over the weekend. The Tigers are now 19-2 overall and 2-1 in the SEC. Malczewski is 2-0 in his 8 appearances this year out of the bullpen with a 5.06 ERA and has struck out 11 batters in his 10.2 innings of work.
Luke Johnson, Bucknell @LukeJohnson_6
Johnson had an unbelievable week at the plate vs. UMass and Navy. Johnson had 4 multi-hit games this past week, going 11 for 26, hitting .423 with 3 doubles and 9 RBI’s. Bucknell however, lost all three to UMass and 3 of 4 to Navy and slipped to 4-14 overall. Johnson is 2nd on the team in batting average, hitting .357 in his senior campaign.
Hank Christie, Northwestern
Christie moved to 2-2 this past weekend with his win vs. Central Michigan. Christie went 6 innings vs. the Chippewas giving up 0 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks while striking out 1. Northwestern took 2 of 3 from Central Michigan this past weekend and improved to 7-8 overall.
Trey Schramm, Xavier @tschramm13
Schramm picked up a win in relief this past weekend, improving him to 3-1 out of the bullpen. Schramm went 1.1 innings vs Miami (OH) giving up 0 runs on 1 hit while striking out 3. Schramm has the second best ERA on the team with a 3.07 ERA in 14.2 innings of work.

Dunne got a no-decision in his superb outing vs. North Dakota State this past weekend. Dunne went 8 strong innings giving up 0 earned runs on 3 hits and 3 walks while striking out 7. Western Illinois picked up two very important Summit League Conference wins to improve to 2-13 overall and 2-1 in the conference play as they won the series vs. NDSU.

Seymour went 3 for 9, hitting .333 this past weekend vs. #11 ranked Louisville with his 1st collegiate homerun and collected two RBI’s. The Demon Deacons took 2 of 3 from their ACC opponent and improved to 9-11 overall and 4-2 in the ACC.

Hodgett went 3 innings of relief work vs. UMass giving up 0 runs on 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3.

Newberg went 2.2 innings of scoreless relief vs. Murray State this past weekend giving up 0 runs on 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5. Austin Peay swept Murray State over the weekend and are 5-1 in the OVC.
Brady Huffman, Illinois State @brady_huffman
Huffman collected a save on Monday night vs. Washington going 1 inning of relief giving up 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 1. After Huffman’s 1st save of the year he took on his normal role of starting vs. Hawaii on the weekend getting a No-Decision for his 6 innings of work. Huffman gave up only 1 run in his start off of 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 4. ISU is now 8-9 overall on the year.
Quinn Snarskis, Illinois @SnarskiAndHutch
Snarskis improved to 2-0 on the year beating Southern Illinois on Friday night. Snarskis went 6 innings giving up 4 earned runs on 10 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Illinois took 2 of 3 vs. Southern Illinois this past weekend and beat Milwaukee in the mid-week game to improve to 11-5 overall and a #24 ranked in the nation.

Costanzo improved to 4-0 on the year with his win over Murray State on Friday night. Costanzo continues to be a force on the mound in the OVC as he went 5.1 innings giving up 2 runs on 2 hits and 4 walks while striking out 9. Austin Peay swept Murray State over the weekend and improve to 13-7 overall and 5-1 in the OVC.
Ben Zordani, Saint Xavier @BZordani
Zordani went 5 for 11, hitting .455 this past weekend with a double and 3 RBI’s. Zordani helped Saint Xavier take two from Robert Morris and one from Roosevelt this past weekend and improve to 8-14 overall.

Bieterman went 4 for 9 this past week in Florida, hitting .444 with two doubles and 5 RBI’s.

Parker went 1.1 innings of relief this past weekend vs. Saint Louis giving up 0 runs on 0 hits while striking out 1. Purdue however lost all three vs. SLU this past weekend and are 9-9 overall.

Rominski got the win in the finale this past weekend vs. Davis & Elkins going 6 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 5. Hillsdale won all 4 games this past weekend and improved to 7-13 overall and 4-0 in the G-MAC.

Nagel picked up his 2nd win of the year vs. Maryville this past weekend going 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 4. Nagel improved to 2-1 on the year and Bellarmine won 3 out of 4 games played this weekend to improve to 12-6 overall.

Burch went 6 for 20 this past week, hitting a cool .300 with a homerun, a double and 2 RBI’s. Wabash Valley took two games from John A. Logan on Monday and swept Lincoln Trail College over the weekend to improve to 18-4 overall.

Rice collected a hit in every game this past week. Bradley lost to #19 UCF, split with UMass and beat Webber International. The Braves are currently 11-5 overall and Rice is one of the Braves top hitters.
Peyton Isaacson, Saint Leo @TheMagnum_PI
Isaacson picked up a hit in 4 out of the 5 games played this past week, with a homerun and 3 RBI’s. Saint Leo beat Bridgeport twice but got swept by Tampa this past weekend. Saint Leo is now 19-5 overall and 6-3 in the SSC.

Fordon made one relief performance vs. Central Michigan this past weekend helping the Wildcats get a win. Fordon went 3 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 1.

Tholl collected 5 hits this past week in their Florida trip, helping them beat #10 University of Southern Maine, #11 College of Scholastica and #24 Wheaton College (Mass) and improve to 9-3 overall.

Schalasky picked up a save this past weekend vs. Tiffin where he went 2 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 3. UIndy took 2 of 3 from Tiffin and two from Maryville in the mid-week games. The Greyhounds are now 14-3 overall.
