Week #6: NCAA Division I College Baseball, Top Tier Alumni Roundup
This week saw Jordan Libman from Illinois State continue to swing one of the hottest bats in all of Division I college baseball. Libman continued his hot streak this week by hitting .545 with a bomb, a triple and 2 RBI's to help ISU take 2 of 3 from Arkansas State.  Ryan Altenberger from Xavier finally healed up from some injuries that have kept him out till now and boy did he impress this past weekend, where he went 5 for 7 vs. Evansville. Camden Minacci from Wake Forest continued to be dominate vs. #17 ranked Florida State out of the bullpen where he went a total of 3 scoreless innings helping the Demon Deacons take 2 of 3 from the Seminoles.  Here are the highlights from Week 6 from all of our Top Tier alums:

Division I Player of the Week:

Jordan Libman
, OF, Illinois State
Libman continues to hit week in and week out as he went 6 for 11, hitting .545 this past week with a homer, a triple and collected 2 RBI's. The Redbirds lost to Eastern Illinois in the midweek but took 2 of 3 from Arkansas State over the weekend to improve to 7-14 overall on the year. Libman is leading the Redbirds in almost every offensive category this season where he is hitting .372, with a .526 slugging % and a .462 on base %.

The Best of the Rest for Week #6:

Ryan Altenberger, INF/OF, Xavier
Altenberger finally got back in the lineup after starting off on the bench due to injuries to start the season. Altenberger went off at the plate in his return getting a hit in all 3 games he played in. Altenberger went 5 for 7 hitting .714 vs. Evansville this past weekend. Xavier lost 3 of 4 vs. Evansville and are now 6-12 overall. 

Camden Minacci, RHP, Wake Forest
Minacci continues to be dominate out of the bullpen for the Demon Deacons. Minacci threw 1 scoreless inning of relief vs. Elon in the midweek game off 0 hits and 1 walk. Minacci threw another 2 innings scoreless vs. #17 ranked Florida State giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 2. Wake Forest beat Elon and took 2 of 3 vs. Florida State to improve to 8-9 overall. 

Jack Carberry, RHP, Western Illinois
Carberry got the win in relief this past weekend vs. South Dakota State, where he tossed 3.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 3 walks while striking out 4. Western Illinois won 3 of 4 vs. South Dakota State and are now 8-13 overall. 

Gavin Doyle, INF, Western Michigan
Doyle went 4 for 10, hitting .400 this past weekend with a double and an RBI for the Broncos vs. Eastern Michigan. Western Michigan ended up splitting with Eastern Michigan this past weekend and are now 3-11 overall. 

Brandon McPherson, RHP, Northern Illinois
McPherson had a really good outing vs. Miami Ohio going 6.1 innings giving up 1 run off 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 9. The Huskies lost 3 of 4 to Miami Ohio and are now 5-14 overall on the year. 

Cam Redding, C, Saint Louis
Redding continued to provide some power for the Billikens again this past weekend where he went 6 for 16, hitting . 375 with a homer, two doubles and collected 6 RBI's. Saint Louis lost to SIUE in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 vs. Cincinnati over the weekend to fall to 7-16 overall. 

Collin Wilma, RHP, SEMO
Wilma threw 3.2 innings of relief vs. Eastern Illinois this past weekend, where he gave up only one run off 4 hits and 0 walks. SEMO beat the 22nd ranked Southern Illinois in the midweek game but lost 2 of 3 vs. Eastern Illinois over the weekend to slip to 11-11 overall. 

Bobby Seymour, 1B, Wake Forest
Seymour continued his power surge at the plate as he collected 4 more hits this past weekend vs. the 17th ranked Florida State Seminoles. Of those 4 hits by Seymour two of them were home runs as he collected 5 more RBI's to help Wake Forest take 2 of 3 from Florida State to improve to 8-9 overall. 

Dawson Place, RHP, High Point
Place made a relief appearance in the midweek game vs. Campbell where he went two scoreless innings giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 3. Then on the weekend, Place got the start vs. Gardner-Webb where he went 4.2 innings giving up only one earned run off 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6. High Point beat Campbell in the midweek and got swept by Gardner-Webb over the weekend to fall to 8-12 overall.

Jacob Nagel, RHP, Bellarmine
Nagel made a relief appearance in the midweek game vs. Austin Peay where he tossed two scoreless innings off 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 1. Then over the weekend Nagel go the start in the series finale vs. Liberty where he took the loss after tossing a good 8.2 innings giving up 4 earned runs off 7 hits and 0 walks while striking out 8. Bellarmine lost to Austin Peay in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 vs. Liberty to fall to 8-13 overall. 

Ryan Thiesse, OF, Fordham
Thiesse went 2 for 4 with a stolen base this past week for Fordham. They lost to Sacred Heart in the midweek game but beat Delaware twice over the weekend to improve to 11-4 overall. 

Charlie Bourbon, OF, Northwestern
Bourbon hit his 1st collegiate homerun this past weekend vs. Illinois. Northwestern won 2 of 3 vs. Illinois this past weekend and improved to 9-5 overall. 

Andrew Wilhite, OF, Minnesota
Wilhite went 2 for 8 this past weekend with 3 RBI's but the Gophers got swept by Nebraska and fall to 3-12 overall on the year. 

Alex Bryant, RHP, Holy Cross
Bryant made one relief appearance this past week tossing 2.1 innings giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 1. Holy Cross lost to UMass and twice to Army to fall to 0-7 overall on the year.

Keaton Rice, C, Bradley
Rice went 2 for 6 this past weekend as they lost both games to Creighton and fell to 5-9 overall on the year. 

Zach Frieling, INF, Saint Louis
Frieling went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's in his one start this past weekend vs. Cincinnati. Saint Louis lost 2 of 3 to Cincinnati and fall to 7-16 overall on the year. 

Tanner Mink, RHP, South Florida
Mink made one relief appearance this past weekend where he threw one scoreless inning giving up only 1 hit and striking out 1 vs. #6 ranked Texas Tech. South Florida beat North Florida in the midweek and got swept by Texas Tech to fall to 9-12 overall on the year. 

Vincent Massaglia
, OF, Southern Illinois
Massaglia continues on his power surge as he blasted two more homers this past week while collecting 4 more RBI's. Southern Illinois is ranked 22nd in the nation and beat SEMO in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 vs. Little Rock this past weekend and are now 19-3 overall. 

Zach Fricke, RHP, Valpo
Fricke got the start in the midweek game vs. #14 ranked Notre Dame this past week where he took the loss but pitched well in his 4 innings where he gave up only 2 runs off 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. Fricke got a relief appearance in over the weekend vs. Butler where he went 2.2 innings giving up only 1 run off 1 hit and 3 walks while striking out 3. Valpo lost 2 of 3 to Butler and are now 5-12 overall on the year. 

Nick Laxner, RHP, Eastern Illinois
Laxner made a start vs. Illinois State in the midweek game, tossing 4.2 innings giving up 3 earned runs off 8 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4. Eastern Illinois beat ISU and won 2 of 3 vs. SEMO this past weekend to improve to 13-10 overall. 

Jack Mahoney, RHP, South Carolina
Mahoney got one inning of relief vs. 5th ranked Florida where he gave up one run off 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 1. 25th ranked South Carolina swept Florida and are now 16-6 overall. 

Tyler Snep, C, Iowa
Snep had another homer this past weekend for the Hawkeyes and collected 3 more RBI's. Iowa split with Ohio State and beat Maryland twice to improve to 7-8 overall. 

Ryan Hampe, C, Illinois
Hampe collected a hit in every game this past weekend with another homer and 3 RBI's. Illinois lost 2 of 3 to Northwestern and fell to 7-8 overall. 

Kevin Davis, RHP, USC-Upstate
Davis gave his 1st run off the season on the bump this past weekend as he went 2 innings in relief vs. Winthrop giving up 1 run off 2 hits and 4 walks while striking out 4. The Spartans lost 2 of 3 to Winthrop and are 16-5 overall. 

Austin Blazevic, 1B, SEMO
Blazevic collected 4 hits this past weekend with a double and 2 RBI's. SEMO lost 2 of 3 to Eastern Illinois and are now 11-11 overall on the year.

PJ Stoyan, LHP, Saint Louis
Stoyan made two relief appearances this past week going a total of 2.1 innings giving up 4 runs off 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3. Saint Louis lost to Cincinnati 2 out of 3 games are now 7-16 overall. 

Michael Oh, RHP, North Carolina
Oh made his 1st relief appearance of the year for the Tarheels going 0.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 1 hit. North Carolina got swept by NC State and fell to 13-9 overall on the year.

Konnor Ash, RHP, Missouri
Ash took the loss in the series finale vs. #1 ranked Vanderbilt going 1.2 innings giving up 1 earned run off 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. Missouri got swept by Vanderbilt and are now 8-15 overall on the year. 

Antonio Brown, INF/OF, Mercer
Brown went 1 for 2 with a stolen base in his one start last week. Mercer beat Georgia State in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 vs. Wofford to improve to 13-10 overall on the year.
