Here are the highlights from Week #6 in college baseball at the D2/D3, NAIA and JUCO level by our Top Tier Alums:

Top Tier Alumni Player of the Week:

Andrew Padilla
, RHP, Webster (D3)

Padilla was lights out on the mound this past week for the #3 ranked Division 3 team Webster. Padilla got his 1st win in his start vs. Westminster in the midweek where he went 6.2 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 6 hits and 0 walks while striking out 8. Padilla also got an inning of work on the weekend vs. Eureka where he gave up 0 runs on 0 hits while striking out 4. Webster swept Eureka and split with Westminster to move to 18-4 overall on the year.

Best of the Rest in College Baseball (D2/D3/NAIA/JUCO)

Ashton Schwab, LHP, Oakton (JUCO)

Schwab picked up his 1st win of the season vs. Sauk Valley where he went 4.2 innings giving up 0 earned runs off only 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out a staggering 11 hitters. Oakton beat Sauk Valley and Highland to move to 5-4 overall on the year. 

Connor Tomasic, INF/RHP, South Suburban 

Tomasic has been an unbelievable two way talent for the Bulldogs this season. This week, Tomasic went 6 for 12, hitting .500 with 2 homers and 3 RBI's. Tomasic also went 6 innings in his start on the mound where he gave up 4 runs off 8 hits and 1 walk while striking out 9. South Sub beat Joliet, Prairie State and Rock Valley and lost to Blackhawk and Kankakee to move to 20-9 overall on the year. 

Colin Summerhill, C, Triton (JUCO)

Summerhill continues to swing one of the hottest bats in all of JUCO baseball as he went 5 for 9 this week, hitting .555 with a double and collecting 6 more RBI's. Triton beat Madison twice and split with McHenry to move to 16-8 overall on the year. 

Jimmy Burnette, LHP, St. Leo (D2)

Burnette picked up his 1st win of the season vs. Rollins where he went 7 strong innings giving up only 2 runs off 6 hits and 3 walks while striking out 10. That however would be the only win on the weekend for St. Leo and they lost 2 out of 3 to Rollins and slip to 5-8 overall on the year. 

Austin Divello, RHP, Coe (D3)

Divello continues to throw well for Coe and he earned 2 saves this weekend throwing a combined 2.2 innings of scoreless baseball giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 1. Coe swept Buena Vista to move to 15-2 overall on the year. 

Nick Talarico, INF, Case Western

Talarico went 6 for 17, hitting .353 this past week with 3 homers, a triple, a double and had 6 RBI's. The power surge Talarico showed helped the Spartans beat Hiram twice and split with Wittenberg to move to 10-6 overall on the year. 

Jake Lotz, LHP, Lewis (D2)

Lotz picked up his 2nd save of the year vs. McKendree this past weekend when he went 2.2 scoreless giving up only 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 3. Lewis swept McKendree over the weekend and improved to 12-8 overall. 

Eric Lundell, RHP, Concordia-St. Paul (D2)

Lundell went 3 innings in relief this past weekend vs. Southwest Minnesota State giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 0 walks while striking out 2. Concordia lost 2 of 3 to SW Minnesota State to fall to 7-10 overall on the year.

Andy Booth, LHP, St. Leo (D2)

Booth threw great in relief for the Lions this past weekend, going 3.2 innings giving up 0 runs on 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3 vs. Rollins. St. Leo lost 2 of 3 to Rollins and fall to 5-8 overall on the year. 

Jimmy Carey, INF, St. Charles (JUCO)

Carey collected a hit in every game he played this past week, going 8 for 18, hitting  .444 with 4 RBI's. The Cougars split with Mineral Area College and are now 9-9 overall on the year. 

Robert Chayka, OF, Kentucky Wesleyan (D2)

Chayka went 5 for 13 this past weekend, hitting .385 with a double and collecting 3 RBI's. Kentucky Wesleyan swept Lake Erie to improve to 11-3 overall on the year. 

Ronnie Nowak, INF, Marshalltown (JUCO)

Nowak colllected 7 hits this past week including a homer and a double along with collecting 6 RBI's. Marshalltown beat Des Moines twice but lost to Indian Hills twice and got swept by Northeast to fall to 8-20 overall on the year. 

Noah Manning, RHP, Iowa Western (JUCO)

Manning had one relief appearance this past weekend throwing 1.2 scoreless innings giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 1. Iowa Western beat Southwestern twice and took 3 of 4 from Southeastern to improve to 24-5 overall on the year. 

Brendan Holloway, OF, Oakton (JUCO)

Holloway went 2 for 6 this past week with 2 RBI's for the Owls. Oakton beat Sauk Valley and Highland to improve to 5-4 overall on the year. 

Matt Kann, OF/INF, Franklin & Marshall (D3)

Kann went 2 for 6 this past weekend with an RBI as the Diplomats split with Muhlenberg to move to 5-1 overall on the year. 

Jack Tomich, RHP, Rollins (D2)

Tomich went one scoreless inning of relief vs. St. Leo this past weekend giving up 0 hits and only 1 walk while striking out 1. Rollins took 2 of 3 from St. Leo are 7-4 overall on the year. 

Brett Taucher, RHP, Quincy (D2)

Taucher went one scoreless inning of relief vs. Truman State this past weekend giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 1. Quincy swept Truman State and improved to 14-6 overall on the year. 

Johnny Hernandez, C, Blackhawk (JUCO)

Hernandez collected 3 hits this past week with a double and 3 RBI's. Blackhawk beat South Suburban, Kishwaukee, Sauk Valley and Illinois Central College and are now 11-5 overall on the year. 

Anthony Rios, C, Lewis (D2)

Rios collected 2 hits with both of them being doubles this past weekend along with collecting 4 RBI's  to help the Flyers sweep McKendree and improve to 12-8 overall on the year.
