Player of the Week:


Colin Summerhill,
Utility, Northern Illinois
Summerhill was an absolute beast at the plate for the Huskies this past weekend where he went 8 for 13, hitting .615  with a homer, a triple and two doubles with 6 RBI's. The Huskies however lost 2 of 3 to Ohio and fell to 5-17 overall and 2-7 in the MAC. Summerhill is leading the team hitting .357 on the year with 7 doubles, a triple, 3 homers and 19 RBI's.

Nick Laxner,
RHP, Eastern Illinois
Laxner threw really well this past week in his start vs. Saint Louis where he earned the win throwing 7 scoreless innings giving up only 2 hits and 0 walks while striking out 5. The Panthers beat Bellarmine and Saint Louis in their midweek games and then lost 2 of 3 to UT-Martin over the weekend and are 13-6 overall and 1-2 in the OVC.


Hunter Mink, RHP, USF
Mink improved to 4-2 on the year after earning the Bulls only win this past week vs. VCU where he tossed 6 innings in his start giving up 0 runs off 3 hits and 3 walks while striking out 6. USF lost to 19th ranked FGCU in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 vs. VCU to fall to 9-16 overall. 


Noah Edders, RHP, Bradley
Edders made two relief appearances this past week earning a win in one of his efforts vs. MVC foe Murray State. In total Edders threw 5.1 innings giving up 0 runs off only 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5. Bradley lost to Illinois in their midweek game and won 2 of 3 vs. Murray State to move to 8-11 overall and 2-1 in the MVC.


Paul Bergstrom, LHP, Creighton
Bergstrom made two relief appearances this past week vs. Nebraska and Minnesota. In total he threw 3 innings giving up 0 runs off only 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. Creighton beat Nebraska in the midweek game and split with Minnesota over the weekend to improve to 9-8 overall. 


Brandon McPherson, RHP, Northern Illinois
McPherson earned his 2nd win of the year this past weekend vs. Ohio where he threw 6 innings in his start giving up only one run off 2 hits and 5 walks while striking out 4. The Huskies lost 2 of 3 to Ohio and are 5-17 overall on the year. 


Cam Minacci, RHP, Wake Forest
Minacci made two relief appearances this past week for the 2nd ranked Demon Deacons. He earned another save to make it 6 on the year vs. 17th ranked Miami. In total he threw 1.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 1 hit while striking out 2. Wake Forest beat Elon in the midweek game and swept Miami to improve to 22-3 overall and 7-2 in the ACC. 


Scott Youngbrandt, RHP, Missouri State
Youngbrandt made two relief appearances this past weekend vs. Evansville where he tossed a combined 3 innings giving up 1 earned run off 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. The Bears got swept by Evansville and are now 11-11 overall and 0-3 in the MVC.


Jack Mahoney, RHP, South Carolina
Mahoney threw well again on the Sunday start for the 11th ranked Gamecocks vs. 22nd ranked Missouri. Mahoney went 4.1 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3. South Carolina lost to Charlotte in the midweek game but swept Missouri to move to 23-2 overall and 6-0 in the SEC. 


Chase Stanke, C, Kentucky
Stanke collected 2 hits with a double and 3 RBI's for the 22nd ranked Wildcats this past weekend. Kentucky beat Eastern Kentucky in the midweek game and swept 25th ranked Alabama over the weekend to improve to 21-3 overall and 5-1 in the SEC.


Will Parkinson, LHP, Columbia
Parkinson earned a save this past weekend in his relief appearance vs. Brown. Parkinson went 4 innings giving up 2 runs off 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 2. Columbia beat Manhattan in the midweek game and won 2 of 3 vs. Brown to improve to 9-10 overall and 2-1 in the Ivy League.


Cade Kurland, INF, Florida
Kurland collected 5 hits this past week with another homer, a double and 7 RBI's. The 3rd ranked Gators beat Florida State in the midweek game and swept 13th ranked Ole Miss over the weekend to improve to 22-4 overall and 5-1 in the SEC.


Blake Wright, INF, Clemson
Wright got back on track and collected 4 hits this past weekend with a homer, a double and 5 RBI's as the Clemson beat Winthrop and Kennesaw State in the midweek games before losing 2 of 3 to Georgia Tech. The Tigers are now 15-10 overall and 2-4 in the ACC. 


Jackson Kent, LHP, Arizona
Kent made three relief appearances this past week, throwing a total of 3.1 innings giving up 1 run off 5 hits and 0 walks while striking out 3. Arizona beat Utah Tech in the midweek game before getting swept by Arizona State to fall to 13-9 overall and 3-6 in the PAC-12. 


Nick Ficarrotta, RHP, Florida
Ficarrotta made two relief appearances this past week for the 3rd ranked Gators earning a save in one of them vs. Ole Miss. In total he threw 3.1 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and 0 walks while striking out 3. Florida swept Ole Miss and beat Florida State to improve to 22-4 overall. 


Evan Jones, RHP, Western Kentucky
Jones made one relief appearance this past weekend vs. Louisiana Tech where he tossed one scoreless inning giving up 0 hits and 0 walks with one strikeout. The Hilltoppers lost to 6th ranked Louisville in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to Louisiana Tech over the weekend to fall to 16-9 overall and 2-4 in C-USA.


Gavin Doyle, INF, Western Michigan
Doyle collected 3 hits this past week with two doubles and 6 RBI's. Western Michigan got beat by Michigan State in the midweek game and got swept by 20th ranked Iowa over the weekend to fall to 5-16 overall and 2-4 in the MAC.


Khyle Radcliffe, OF, Southern 
Radcliffe collected 3 hits this past weekend with a homer, a double and 2 RBI's as Southern lost to Houston in the midweek game before taking 2 of 3 vs. Texas Southern to move to 7-15 overall and 3-3 in the SWAC.


Chase Centala, RHP, UCF
Centala made two relief appearances this past week throwing a total of 2.1 innings giving up 3 earned runs off 1 hit and 4 walks while striking out 2. UCF lost to North Florida in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 vs. Maryland over the weekend to fall to 16-8 overall.
