Week #7: NCAA Division I College Baseball, Top Tier Alumni Roundup
This week saw Ryan Altenberger go off at the plate for Xavier in his 2nd week back from some injuries that kept him out of action till recently. Altenberger went 7 for 14, hitting .500 this weekend with 2 bombs, a triple and 8 RBI's.  Konnor Ash also finally is healed up and has made his presence on the mound for the Missouri Tigers as he threw 3.1 innings total in relief giving up 0 runs on only 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Chase Stanke and Andrew Wilhite for Minnesota also had great weekends where they went a combined 14 for 28 together for the Gophers.  Here are the highlights from Week 7 from all of our Top Tier alums:

Division I Player of the Week:

Ryan Altenberger
, INF, Xavier
Altenberger had a monster weekend vs. Dayton where he blasted out 7 hits, hitting .500 with 2 homers, a triple and collected 8 RBI's to help Xavier take 3 of 4 from the Flyers. Xavier is now 9-13 overall on the year. 

The Best of the Rest for Week #7:

Konnor Ash, RHP, Missouri
Ash has looked great since coming back from an early season injury. Ash threw a combined 3.1 innings this past weekend vs. Texas A&M where he gave up 0 runs off only 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Missouri beat Texas A&M 2 out of 3 to improve to 10-17 overall and 3-6 in the SEC.

Chase Stanke, C, Minnesota
Stanke had one of his best weekends at the plate this past weekend vs. Michigan State where he went 8 for 14, hitting .571 with two doubles and 6 RBI's. However it was not enough as Minnesota lost 2 of 3 to the Spartans over the weekend and fall to 4-14 overall on the year. 

Kevin Davis, RHP, USC-Upstate
Davis continues to be dominate out of the bullpen for the Spartans as got the win in the series finale vs. Radford where he tossed 2.1 innings of scoreless baseball giving up 0 hits and only 1 walk while striking out 4. USC-Upstate is 18-6 overall and 11-6 in the Big South.

Andrew Wilhite, OF, Minnesota
Wilhite had a really good weekend at the plate going 6 for 14, hitting .429 with a double and an RBI for the Gophers. However that wasn't enough as Minnesota dropped 2 out of 3 to Michigan State to fall to 4-14 overall on the year. 

Jack Mahoney, RHP, South Carolina
Mahoney got his 1st collegiate win in his start vs. Gardner-Webb this past week. Mahoney went 4 innings giving up only 1 run off 5 hits and 0 walks while striking out 6. The 14th ranked Gamecocks beat Gardner-Webb in the midweek game and took 2 out of 3 from Georgia this past weekend to improve to 19-7 overall and 6-3 in the SEC.

Trey Schramm, RHP, Xavier
Schramm got a win in relief this past weekend vs. Dayton where he tossed 3 scoreless innings giving up only 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 5. Xavier took 3 of 4 from Dayton and are now 9-13 overall. 

Jacob Nagel, RHP, Bellarmine
Nagel collected his 1st win of the year vs. Lipscomb this past weekend. Nagel went 6.2 innings giving up only 1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Bellarmine lost to Kentucky in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to Lipscomb to fall to 9-16 overall and 5-7 in the ASun. 

Jordan Libman, OF, Illinois State
Libman went 6 for 16, hitting .375 with a double and 2 RBI's. Illinois State beat Eastern Illinois in the midweek game and took 3 of 4 from Southern Illinois to improve to 11-15 overall and 3-1 in the MVC. 

Kellen Sarver, 1B, Illinois
Sarver went 3 for 6 with a double and an RBI this past weekend vs. Nebraska. Illinois lost 2 of 3 vs. the Huskers to fall to 8-10 overall. 

PJ Stoyan, LHP, Saint Louis
Stoyan threw 2 scoreless innings vs. Indiana State this past weekend off 2 hits while striking out 2. Saint Louis lost 2 of 3 to the 25th ranked Indiana State team and are 8-18 overall. 

Alex Bryant, RHP, Holy Cross
Bryant got his 1st collegiate win in relief this past week vs. UMass where he went 3 innings giving up 2 runs off 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6. He got one more relief outing vs. Bucknell over the weekend going 0.1 innings giving up 1 run off 2 hits and 1 walk. Holy Cross beat UMass and swept Bucknell to improve to 5-7 overall and 4-5 in the Patriot League. 

Stephen Hill, 3B, Morehead State
Hill went 3 for 9, hitting .333 this past weekend with 3 RBI's to help the Eagles win 2 of 3 vs. SIUE to improve to 12-11 overall and 4-2 in the OVC.

Brandon McPherson, RHP, Northern Illinois 
McPherson took the loss vs. Central Michigan this past weekend after throwing a really good game. McPherson went 4.2 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6. The Huskies got swept by Central Michigan and fell to 5-18 overall and 4-8 in the MAC.

Collin Wilma, RHP, SEMO
Wilma got the win in the series finale vs. Jacksonville State going 5.1 innings giving up 2 runs off 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. SEMO is now 13-13 overall and 7-5 in the OVC.

Sean Sinisko, LHP, Illinois State
Sinisko got a win vs. Southern Illinois this past weekend going 5 innings giving up 4 runs off 6 hits and 4 walks while striking out 4. ISU beat SIU 3 out of 4 over the weekend and improved to 11-15 overall and 3-1 in the MVC.

Keaton Rice, C, Bradley
Rice collected 4 hits over the past week with 7 walks and an RBI. Bradley beat SIUE in the midweek game and split with Missouri State to move to 8-12 overall and 2-2 in the MVC.

Austin Blazevic, 1B, SEMO
Blazevic collected 4 hits over the weekend vs. Jacksonville State. SEMO is now 13-13 overall and 7-5 in the OVC.

Dakota Kotowski, OF, Missouri State
Kotowski picked up 4 hits this past week with a double and 2 RBI's. Missouri State beat SEMO in the midweek game and split with Bradley to move to 10-10 overall and 2-2 in the MVC.

Brady Miller, RHP, Western Michigan
Miller got a no-decision this past weekend vs. Akron where he went 5 strong innings giving up 3 runs off 8 hits and 0 walks while striking out 4. Western Michigan swept Akron and improved to 7-11 overall and 7-5 in the MAC.

Nick Laxner, RHP, Eastern Illinois
Laxner took the loss in the midweek game vs. Illinois State going a solid 4 innings giving up only 2 runs off 6 hits and 1 walk. Eastern Illinois lost to ISU in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 vs. Belmont over the weekend to fall to 14-13 overall and 5-7 in the OVC.

Ryan Hodgett, RHP, Bradley
Hodgett got 2 innings of relief vs. SIUE in the midweek game where he gave up 0 runs off only 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. Hodgett got a start vs. Missouri State in the weekend series finale going 2.2 innings giving up 4 runs off 3 hits and 3 walks while striking out 2. Bradley beat SIUE and split with Missouri State to move to 8-12 overall and 2-2 in the MVC.

Ryan Hampe, C, Illinois 
Hampe picked up 3 hits this past weekend vs. Nebraska with a game winning homer and 4 RBI's total. Illinois lost 2 of 3 to Nebraska and are now 8-10 overall on the year. 

Mason Miller, LHP, Florida Gulf Coast
Miller made one relief appearance this past weekend going 0.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 1. Florida Gulf Coast swept North Florida to move to 16-10 overall and 4-2 in the ASun. 

Cam Redding, C/1B, Saint Louis
Redding collected 2 hits this past weekend with a homer and 2 RBI's as the Billikens lost 2 of 3 to Indiana State to fall to 8-18 overall on the year. 

Gavin Doyle, INF, Western Michigan
Doyle collected 2 hits with 3 RBI's this past weekend to help the Broncos sweep Akron and move to 7-11 overall and 7-5 in the MAC.

Luke Pappas, LHP, Western Michigan
Pappas got one relief appearance this past weekend vs. Akron going 0.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits while striking out 1. The Broncos swept Akron and are 7-11 overall on the year.
