Week #8: NCAA Division I College Baseball, Top Tier Alumni Roundup
This week saw Stephen Hill from Morehead State go off at the plate hitting .412 going 7 for 17 with a homer, a triple, a double and collecting 5 RBI's to help the Eagles win 3 of 4 games this past week.  We also saw Austin Ehrens from Belmont get his first weekend of play getting to start every game in the outfield for the Bruins where he collected hits in every game he played going 5 for 13, hitting .385 on the week. Here are the highlights from Week 8 from all of our Top Tier alums:

Division I Player of the Week:

Stephen Hill
, 3B, Morehead State
Hill had an unbelievable week at the plate, going 7 for 17, hitting .412 with a homer, a triple, a double and collecting 5 RBI's with a hit in every game played this past week. The Eagles beat Dayton in the midweek game and took 2 of 3 from Austin Peay to improve to 15-12 overall and 6-3 in the OVC.

The Best of the Rest for Week #8:

Austin Ehren
, OF, Belmont
Ehren definitely made the most of his opportunities this past week as he got the start in every game this past week, collecting a hit in every game going 5 for 13, hitting .385 with an RBI. Belmont split with Lipscomb in the midweek and lost 2 of 3 vs. Jacksonville State to fall to 13-16 overall and 7-8 in the OVC.  Ehren is currently hitting .316 on the year. 

Vincent Massaglia, OF, Southern Illinois
Massaglia went  5 for 13, hitting .385 this past week with two more homers, two doubles and collected 5 RBI's. Southern Illinois beat Austin Peay and Bellarmine in the midweek and took two games from Northern Illinois to improve to 24-6 overall and 4-4 in the MVC.

Camden Minacci, RHP, Wake Forest
Minacci made two relief appearances this past weekend vs. #13 ranked Virginia Tech going a total of 3 innings giving up 0 runs off only 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. The Demon Deacons however lost Liberty in the midweek and got swept by Virginia Tech on the weekend to fall to 10-15 overall and 5-12 in the ACC. Minacci has a 2.93 ERA in 15.1 innings pitched this year as a freshman. 

Cam Redding, C, Saint Louis
Redding went 6 for 16, hitting .375 with a homer, two doubles and collecting 6 RBI's. Saint Louis lost to SIUE in the midweek game but took 3 of 4 on the weekend from George Mason to move them to 11-20 overall and 3-1 in the Atlantic-10. 

Jack Carberry, RHP, Western Illinois
Carberry made two relief appearances this past weekend vs. North Dakota State where he went a total of 5 innings giving up 0 runs off only 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6. Western Illinois however got swept by North Dakota State to fall to 9-20 overall and 5-11 in the Summit. 

Nick Laxner, RHP, Eastern Illinois
Laxner threw in the series finale in relief vs. Eastern Kentucky over the weekend. Laxner went 3.1 innings giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 1. The Panthers won 2 of 3 vs. Eastern Kentucky and move to 16-14 overall and 7-8 in the OVC. Laxner has a 4.58 ERA in 19.2 innings of work. 

Chase Centala, RHP, Florida
Centala earned his 2nd win of the year out of relief for the 9th ranked Gators vs. Florida A&M in the midweek game. Centala threw 2 innings giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 1. Florida beat Stetson and Florida A&M in the midweek games and lost 2 of 3 to the 3rd ranked Tennessee Vols this past weekend and are now 21-11 overall and 6-6 in the SEC. Centala has a 2.31 ERA in 11.2 innings of work. 

Bobby Seymour, 1B, Wake Forest
Seymour continues his power surge in the ACC as he collected another 5 hits this past week with 2 more homers, a double and collected 5 RBI's. Wake Forest got beat by Liberty and got swept on the weekend by the 13th ranked Virginia Tech Hokies to fall to 10-15 overall. 

Kevin Davis, RHP, USC-Upstate
Davis earned his 4th save of the year this past weekend vs. Gardner-Webb where he tossed 0.2 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 1. The Spartans took 2 of 3 vs. Gardner-Webb and also beat Georgia Tech in the midweek to improve to 21-7 overall and 13-7 in the Big South. 

Jack Mahoney, RHP, South Carolina
Mahoney got a no-decision in his start in the midweek game vs. North Carolina where he went 4 strong innings giving up only 1 run off 6 hits and 0 walks while striking out 4. South Carolina beat North Carolina and took 2 of 3 from Missouri over the weekend to improve to 21-9 overall and 8-4 in the SEC.

Jordan Libman, OF, Illinois State
Libman collected a hit in every game again this past weekend, collecting 4 hits with a homer and collecting 4 RBI's for the Redbirds. ISU lost 3 out of 4 to the 25th ranked Indiana State and are now 12-18 overall and 4-4 in the MVC.

Brandon Williams, RHP, Presbyterian
Williams made one relief appearance this past week vs. UNC-Asheville where he went 2.1 innings giving up 0 runs off 2 hits and 1 walk. They beat UNC-Asheville and their series vs. Radford over the weekend and are 7-10 overall and 6-5 in the Big South. 

Sean Sinisko, LHP, Illinois State
Sinisko started in the series finale vs. Indiana State where he went 7.2 innings giving up only 3 runs off 7 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6. ISU lost 3 of 4 to Indiana State and are now 12-18 overall. 

Alex Bryant, RHP, Holy Cross
Bryant took the loss in relief this past week vs. Merrimack going 2 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 3 hits and 0 walks while striking out 4. Holy Cross didn't get to play on the weekend as their games vs. Army were postponed. Holy Cross is 5-8 overall and 4-5 in the Patriot League.

Ryan Howe, INF, Purdue
Howe got back in the starting lineup this past weekend where he had 3 hits with a double and an RBI. The Boilermakers split with Michigan State and Penn State and are now 6-15 overall on the year. 

Hank Christie, RHP, Northwestern
Christie made one relief appearance this past weekend vs. Rutgers where he went one scoreless inning giving up 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 2. The Wildcats lost 2 of 3 to Rutgers and are now 11-10 overall. 

Grant Leader, RHP, Illinois
Leader made one relief appearance this past weekend vs. Indiana where he went one inning giving up 0 earned runs off 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 2. Illinois lost both games to Indiana and are now 8-12 overall. 

Ryan Altenberger, INF/OF, Xavier
Altenberger collected 2 big hits again this past weekend, with another homer, a double and collected 4 RBI's to help Xavier take 2 of 3 from St. John's to improve to 11-14 overall and 2-1 in the Big East. 

Brady Miller, RHP, Western Michigan
Miller got a no-decision in his start vs. Miami (OH) this past weekend, tossing 4.1 innings giving up 3 runs off 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6. The Broncos took 3 of 4 from Miami (OH) and are now 10-12 overall and 10-6 in the MAC.

Jake Little, RHP, Saint Louis
Little made one relief appearance this past weekend going 2 innings giving up 1 run off 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 2. SLU lost to SIUE in the midweek game but took 3 of 4 from George Mason to improve to 11-20 overall and 3-1 in the Atlantic-10.

Trey Schramm, RHP, Xavier
Schramm made one relief appearance this past weekend vs. St. John's going one inning giving up 1 run off 2 hits and a walk. Xavier won 2 of 3 vs. St. John's and improved to 11-14 overall and 2-1 in the Big East. 

Chris Seropian, LHP, Fairleigh Dickinson
Seropian made one relief appearance this past weekend going 0.2 innings giving up 1 run off only 1 hit and 0 walks while striking out 2 vs. Bryant. The Knights got swept by Bryant and are now 3-14 overall and 2-10 in the NEC.

PJ Stoyan, LHP, Saint Louis
Stoyan made one relief appearance this past week, tossing one inning giving up 1 earned run off 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. SLU beat George Mason 3 out of 4 games and are now 11-20 overall and 3-1 in the Atlantic-10.
