Major League Baseball Performance in Week #2:

Tanner Roark, Washington Nationals

Roark got two starts this past week. His 1st one came vs. St. Louis, where he collected another win going 5 innings giving up 3 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3. In his 2nd start of the week, he got a No-Decision vs. Philadelphia going an impressive 7 innings giving up only 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 3. He also got it done with the bat vs. Philadelphia as he went 2 for 2 with a double. On the year, he is 2-0 with a 3.50 ERA.

Minor League Baseball Performances in Week #2:

Paul DeJong, Memphis Redbirds (Triple A, Cardinals)

DeJong had a hit in every game he started this past week as shortstop. He went 8 for 22 this past week hitting .364 with 3 doubles, a homerun and 2 RBI’s. He is currently hitting .333 on the year.

Rob Scahill, Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple A, Brewers)
Scahill made three appearances in relief this past week. He took the loss in the 1st appearance this past week, going 1 inning giving up 1 run on 1 hit while striking out 1. In his 2nd appearance he got the save going 1 inning giving up 0 runs on 0 hits, 1 walk while striking out 2. In his last relief appearance on the week, he went 1 inning giving up 0 runs on 0 hits. Scahill is currently pitching at 1.69 ERA on the year.

Tyler Ladendorf, Charlotte Knights (Triple A, White Sox)
Ladendorf collected 3 more hits this past week under his utility role of starting in the outfield, infield and DH. He is currently hitting .259 on the year.

Karch Kowalczyk, Tulsa Drillers (Double A, Dodgers)
Kowalczyk only made one relief appearance this past week going 0.2 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits. He has made 3 appearances on the year, pitching at a 2.25 ERA on the year.

Kyle Hunter, Arkansas Travelers (Double A, Mariners)
Hunter made one appearance in relief this past week going 3 innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 2.

Ryan Borucki,Dunedin Blue Jays (High A, Blue Jays)
Borucki got a No-Decision in his 2nd start of the year, going 5 innings giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, 2 walks while striking out 6. He has a 5.40 ERA on the year after his two starts.

Jeremy Rhoades, Inland Empire 66ers (High A, Angels)
Rhoades made two appearances this past week in relief going 2 innings in his 1st appearance giving up 2 runs on 2 hits, 1 walk while striking out 1. In his 2nd appearance on the week he got the save going 1 inning giving up 0 runs on 0 hits while striking out 2.

Jason Goldstein, Beloit Snappers (Low A, Athletics)
Goldstein made 2 starts behind the dish as catcher this past week, going 1 for 4 in both games. He is currently hitting .231 on the year.

Luke Johnson, Bucknell

Johnson had a huge offensive week going 10 for 18, hitting .556 with a hit in every game. Of those 10 hits, 6 of them were doubles and 1 was a triple. He collected 6 RBI’s on the week as well to help the Bison sweep all 4 games from Lafayette. Johnson is currently hitting .306 on the year with a .430 Slugging percentage. His Bison are 17-18 overall and 8-4 in the Patriot League.

Sean Hjelle, Kentucky
Hjelle got the win vs. Missouri this past weekend, tossing 7 innings giving up 0 runs on 5 hits, 1 walk while striking out 8. Kentucky took 2 of 3 from Missouri on the weekend and improved their overall record to 25-12 and 10-5 in the SEC to rank them #10 nationally.

Will Kincanon, Indiana State
Kincanon got the win vs. Southern Illinois this past weekend going 7 innings giving up 0 runs on 5 hits, 2 walks while striking out 10. His efforts helped them take 2 of 3 from SIU on the weekend.

Brad Margolin, Wash U
Margolin was named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week for the 2nd time this season. He earned it by throwing his 2nd consecutive complete game shutout, giving up only 2 hits, 1 walk while striking out 5 vs. Case Western Reserve University. His efforts have helped Wash U to an overall record of 18-8 and helped them get ranked #20 nationally.

Marty Napleton, Saint Joseph’s (IN)
Napleton went 7 for 17 this past week, hitting .412 with a homerun, 3 doubles, and 2 RBI’s. The Pumas split with Lewis this past weekend and are 24-13 overall.

Frankie Perrone, Eastern Illinois
Perrone went 6 for 11 this past week, hitting .545 with a homerun, 3 doubles and 3 RBI’s. His offensive surge only helped the Panthers take 1 of 3 games vs. Belmont this past weekend.

Zack Wade, DePauw
Wade continues to stay hot at the plate as he had a hit in every game this past week, going 5 for 13 hitting .384 with 2 homerun blasts and 5 RBI’s. On the year, he is hitting .325 with 7 bombs. DePauw is 23-6 overall.

Connor Riley, USC-Aiken
Riley took the loss vs. Frances Marion this past weekend, but his strikeouts per outing continue to climb. Riley went 7.2 innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, 3 walks while striking out 13 batters. He is currently ranked #3 in the nation in D2 baseball in average strikeouts per 9 innings, with 14.41 strikeouts per 9. His total for the year is 95 big strikeouts in just 59.1 innings of work. USC-Aiken is now 30-11 on the year.

Roger Wilson, Blackhawk CC
Wilson got the win going a strong 6 innings vs. Sauk Valley CC giving up 0 runs on 0 hits while striking out 7.

Nick Menken, Iowa Western CC
Menken went 5 for 12 on the weekend, hitting .417.  Iowa Western went on to sweep all 4 games from Marshalltown CC, to improve to 31-10 on the year.

Willie Bourbon, Northwestern
Bourbon went 6 for 17 this past week, hitting .353 with a triple and 4 RBI’s. The Wildcats went on to beat Western Michigan and Bradley in the mid-week games, but lost 2 of 3 vs. Illinois on the weekend.

Austin Covers, Heartland CC
Covers got the win over the weekend going 6 innings giving up 0 runs on 4 hits while striking out 3. His is currently pitching at 2.35 ERA.

Matt Fallon, Xavier
Fallon went 4 for 12 this past week hitting .333 with 2 homeruns, a double and 4 RBI’s. This helped Xavier take 2 of 3 from Seton Hall on the weekend.

Eric Giltz, SIUE
Giltz went 4 for 12 on the weekend hitting .333 but his efforts didn’t help as they got swept by Morehead State over the weekend.

Hank Christie, Northwestern
Christie got the only win over the weekend vs. Illinois. He went 6 innings in his start giving up 3 runs on 8 hits while striking out 3.

Jacob Nagel, Bellarmine
Nagel got the start vs. University of Illinois-Springfield over the weekend and got a No-Decision for his efforts. He went 6.2 innings giving up 0 earned runs on 6 hits, 1 walk while striking out 3. Bellarmine split with UIS over the weekend.

TJ Byrd, Rend Lake CC
Byrd went 8 for 22 over the past week, hitting .363 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI’s. They are currently 22-17 overall on the year.

Quinn Snarskis, Saint Joseph’s (IN)
Snarskis took the loss over the weekend vs. Lewis but threw a solid 6 innings giving up only 2 runs on 7 hits, 1 walk while striking out 6.

Louis Niemerg, Maryville
Niemerg went 4 for 13, hitting .308 over the weekend with a double and an RBI. Maryville spit on the weekend vs. William Jewell College, and are 20-18 on the year.

Brian Schrimmer, Heartland CC
Schrimmer made 2 appearances this past week going a total of 2 innings giving up 0 runs on 0 hits while striking out 5.

Neil Lambert, Triton CC
Lambert went 6 for 20, hitting .300 on the week with 3 doubles and 3 RBI’s. He is currently hitting .385 for the year.

Brenden Heiss, Arkansas
Heiss got 1 inning of relief work in vs. #28 ranked, Missouri State where he gave up 0 runs on 0 hits and 1 walk. Arkansas beat Missouri State and swept Georgia over the weekend. They are now 29-8 overall and 11-4 in the SEC and are ranked #14 nationally.

Tyler Lass, Northwestern
Lass made two appearances this past week, going a total of 1.2 innings giving up 0 runs on 3 hits while striking out 1.

Zach Lewis, Wichita State
Lewis took the loss vs. Bradley over the weekend, going 6 innings giving up 3 earned runs on 7 hits,1 walk while striking out 4. The Shockers are 17-18 overall on the year.

Brett Shimanovsky, Saint Louis
Shimanovsky went 1 inning of relief giving up 0 runs on 1 hit while striking out 2. They improved to 21-11 overall after they took 2 of 3 from UMass on the weekend.

Peyton Isaacson, Coastal Carolina
Isaacson collected 4 more hits over the weekend to help Coastal take 2 of 3 from South Alabama. Coastal is now 22-13-1 overall and 10-4-1 in the conference.

Chris Pedrak, Carthage
Pedrak got 1.2 innings of relief work in this past week giving up 0 runs on 1 hit and 1 walk. Carthage is 13-13 overall on the year.
