Player of the Week:


Sam Antonacci
, INF, Heartland (JUCO)
Antonacci continues to be one of the hottest hitters in Junior College baseball as he went 12 for 22 this past week, hitting .545 with 4 doubles, 2 homers and collected 17 RBI's for the Hawks. Heartland beat Triton and South Suburban in the middle of the week and swept Spoon River over the weekend to improve to 41-4 overall on the year. Antonacci has staggering offensive numbers on the year as he is hitting .533 with 21 doubles, 10 homers, 73 RBI's and 26 stolen bases.

Kevin Dowling
, OF, Saint Xavier (NAIA)
Dowling had a really good week going 7 for 15, hitting .467 with 3 doubles, a triple and 5 RBI's for the Cougars. St. Xavier lost to Eastern Illinois in a midweek game but swept Trinity International over the weekend to move to 23-22 overall on the year. 


Logan Peterson, RHP, UIndy (D2)
Peterson picked up a win in his start this past weekend vs. Southwest Baptist. Peterson went 7 scoreless innings giving up only 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 10. The Greyhounds beat Purdue Northwest and lost to Kentucky Wesleyan in the midweek games and won 3 of 4 vs. Southwest Baptist over the weekend to move to 25-16 overall and 10-14 in the GLVC.


Angelo Luna, OF, Parkland (JUCO)
Luna had a really good offensive week going 6 for 11, hitting .545 with 2 doubles for the Cobras. Parkland beat Millikin in the midweek game and won 3 of 4 vs. Illinois Central over the weekend to move to 33-9 overall on the year. 


Luke Napleton, C, Quincy (D2)
Napleton continues to dominate the D2 world as he went 5 for 14, hitting .357 this past week with another homer, two doubles and 6 RBI's. 13th ranked Quincy won 3 of 4 vs. UMSL and moved to 31-9 overall and 19-5 in the GLVC. Napleton is hitting .385 on the year with 12 doubles, 22 homers and 65 RBI's. 


Jeremy Fox, RHP, Morton (JUCO)
Fox threw really well this past week in his start vs. Elgin but unfortunately took the loss for his efforts. Fox threw 7 innings giving up only 1 run off only 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 9. Morton went 4-3 on the week and are now 28-14 overall on the year. 


Connor Blake, INF, IIT (D3)
Blake went 8 for 20, hitting .400 this past week with a homer, two doubles and 5 RBI's. IIT beat Concordia-Chicago and Dominican twice a piece and lost to MSOE twice to move to 16-16 overall on the year. 


Mitch Farris, LHP, Wingate (D2)
Farris the top pitcher is all of D2 baseball earned his 10th win this past weekend vs. UVA Wise and SAC Pitcher of the Week for the 7th time. Farris went 8 innings in his start giving up 2 runs off 4 hits and 0 walks while striking out 9. Wingate lost to Erskine in the midweek game and swept UVA Wise over the weekend to improve to 30-16 overall and 18-6 in the SAC.


Nick Talarico, INF, Case Western Reserve (D3)
Talarico collected a hit in all three games this past weekend going 4 for 10, hitting .400 with 5 RBI's. The Spartans swept Brandeis to improve to 22-12 overall on the year. 


Charlie Marisca, C, Parkland (JUCO)
Marisca went 5 for 11, hitting .455 with a double and an RBI this past week. Parkland beat Millikin in the midweek game and won 3 of 4 vs. Illinois Central to move to 33-9 overall. 


Brandon Bennitt, INF, IIT (D3)
Bennitt went 8 for 23 this past week, hitting .348 with 3 doubles and 5 RBI's. IIT is now 16-16 overall on the year. 


Max Oliveira, C, NYU (D3)
Oliveira went 5 for 13, hitting .385 this past week with a homer, a double and 2 RBI's. NYU won 2 of 3 vs. SUNY New Paltz to move to 14-16 overall. 


Nate Maliska, 1B, St. Francis (NAIA)
Maliska went 5 for 15, hitting .333 this past week with two doubles and 4 RBI's. St. Francis beat St. Ambrose, lost to Trinity International in the midweek games and won 2 of 3 vs. Trinity Christian to move to 20-25 overall. 


Colin Husko, INF, Dubuque (D3)
Husko went 4 for 11, hitting .364 this past week as they lost to Loras in the midweek game and won 2 of 3 vs. Wartburg over the weekend to move to 21-10 overall. 


Vito Valincius, INF/OF, John A. Logan (JUCO)
Valincius went 4 for 4 in the one game they played this past week vs. Lincoln Trail with 2 RBI's. The Vols are 32-13 overall on the year. 


Johnny Hernandez, C, Blackhawk (JUCO)
Hernandez went 4 for 12, hitting .333 this past week with two doubles and 2 RBI's as they beat Illinois Valley twice and split with both Oakton and Carl Sandburg to move to 27-17 overall on the year.


Jorge Vazquez, INF, Triton (JUCO)
Vazquez went 3 for 9, hitting .333 this past week as Triton went 2-4 moving them to 27-17 overall on the year. 


JJ Vargas, RHP, Upper Iowa (D2)
Vargas made his 1st relief appearance of the year this past week vs. Concordia-St. Paul where he went 2 scoreless innings giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 3. Upper Iowa beat Concordia-St. Paul twice but lost 2 of 3 to Augustana (SD) to move to 15-23 overall on the year. 


Tyler Preissing, RHP, Aurora
Preissing made two relief appearances this past week earning a save in one of them. In total he threw 4 innings giving up only 1 run on 3 hits and 1 walk with 6 strikeouts. Aurora beat Concorida-Chicago twice, Wisconsin-Lutheran twice and split with Benedictine to move to 26-3 overall on the year. 


Eric Lundell, RHP, Concordia-St. Paul (D2)
Lundell made two relief appearances this past week earning a save in one of them. In total, Lundell threw 3 innings giving up 1 run off 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. The Golden Bears struggled this past week losing twice to Upper Iowa and losing 2 of 3 to Wayne State (Nebraska) to move them to 16-20 overall. 


Will Jackson, RHP, Illinois Wesleyan (D3)
Jackson got his 1st win in start this year vs. Eureka where he tossed 2 scoreless innings off 3 hits and 0 walks with 2 strikeouts. IWU lost to Carroll and beat Eureka and Beloit in the midweek games and won twice vs. Wheaton to improve to 15-18 overall on the year. 


Joey Little, OF, Fort Scott (JUCO)
Little collected 4 hits this past weekend with 2 homers and 2 doubles along with 6 RBI's. Fort Scott swept Highland and improved to 30-18 overall on the year. 


Brad White, OF, South Suburban (JUCO)
White collected 6 hits this past week with 2 homers, 2 doubles and 5 RBI's for the Bulldogs. South Sub went 3-3 this past week moving them to 29-17 overall on the year. 


Ethan Bowers, INF, Blackhawk (JUCO)
Bowers collected 5 hits this past week with two doubles and 4 RBI's. Blackhawk is now 27-17 overall on the year. 


Jack McNamara, C, UW-Oshkosh (D3)
McNamara went 2 for 3 in his one start this past week with an RBI, as Oshkosh swept UW-Platteville to improve to 22-6 overall on the year. 


AJ Casmer, RHP, Lewis (D2)
Casmer made two relief appearances this past week earning a win in one of them vs. Trinity Christian. In total, Casmer threw 3 innings giving up 2 earned runs off 2 hits and 3 walks with 2 strikeouts. Lewis beat Trinity Christian in the midweek game and won 3 of 4 vs. Drury over the weekend to improve to 24-17 overall on the year. 


Brennan Fisher, 1B, Benedictine (D3)
Fisher collected 5 hits this past week with a homer and 4 RBI's. The Eagles beat St. Norbert twice, split with Aurora and lost to North Central to move to 20-9 overall on the year. 


Tyler Patton, C, Aurora (D3)
Patton went 2 for 3 in his one start this past week with a double and 3 RBI's. Aurora is now 26-3 overall on the year. 


Ryan Manikowski, RHP, Lewis (D2)
Manikowski made two relief appearances this past week, throwing a total of 5 innings giving up 3 runs on 3 hits and 7 walks with 7 strikeouts. Lewis is 24-17 overall on the year. 


Simon Lane, RHP, Grinnell (D3)
Lane made two relief appearances this past week, throwing a total of 3 innings giving up 2 runs off 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. Grinnell split with University of Chicago and won 2 of 3 vs. Illinois College to move to 13-17 overall on the year.
