Weekly Top Tier Alumni Roundup for our NCAA Division II, III, NAIA & JUCO Players:


Player of the Week:

Andy Booth, LHP, Saint Leo (D2)

Booth picked up his 5th win in relief this past weekend vs. Palm Beach Atlantic where he was lights out. Booth threw 6 scoreless innings giving up only 1 hit and 0 walks while striking out 6. Saint Leo swept Palm Beach Atlantic over the weekend and they are now ranked 10th in the nation for D2 Baseball. Booth earned SCC Pitcher of the Week for his efforts. Saint Leo is 33-14 overall and 18-9 in the SSC. Booth is 5-0 with a 2.03 ERA in 48.2 innings pitched with 52 strikeouts and only 8 walks. 

Best of the Rest Highlights for our Division II, III, NAIA & JUCO players:

Broghan O'Connor, Wash U (D3)

O'Connor put on an absolute power surge in Wash U's last weekend for the Bears this season. He went 5 for 14, hitting .357 with 4 bombs and 9 RBI's. However, Wash U lost to Webster in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to Fontbonne to finish the year 12-24 overall. O'Connor finished the year hitting .299 with 6 doubles, a triple, 6 homers and 22 RBI's. 

Robert Chayka, Kentucky Wesleyan (D2)

Chayka was on an absolute tear this past week as he went 13 for 23, hitting .565 with two doubles and 6 RBI's. He had multi-hit games in all but one this past week as they beat Southern Indiana in the midweek game and swept Hillsdale over the weekend to improve to 22-24 overall and 18-10 in the GMAC.

Connor Blake, IIT (D3)

Blake went continues to hit baseballs hard every week as he went 8 for 14, hitting .571 with two more homers, a triple, two doubles and collected 4 RBI's. IIT beat Lake Land, lost to Wis-Lutheran twice and split with Rockford to move to 9-27 overall and 5-15 in the NACC. 

Nick Villasenor, St. Francis (NAIA)

Villasenor threw really well again this past week picking up the win throwing a complete-game 7 innings vs. St. Ambrose giving up 0 runs off 5 hits and 0 walks while striking out 3. St. Francis beat Indiana-South Bend twice, split with Indiana Tech and won 2 of 3 vs. St. Ambrose to improve to 28-25 overall and 22-8 in the CCAC. Villasenor is 6-3 on the year with a 4.41 ERA in 63.1 innings of work with 42 strikeouts and 12 walks. 

Luke Napleton, Quincy (D2)

Napleton went 9 for 23 this past week hitting .391 with a homer, two doubles and 6 RBI's. Quincy beat University of Missouri-St. Louis twice in the midweek games and won 3 of 4 vs. Saginaw Valley over the weekend to improve to 27-19 overall and 12-8 in the GLVC. 

Brandon Bennitt, IIT (D3)

Bennitt really swung the bat well this past week, going 8 for 23, hitting .348 with two bombs, a triple, a double and collected 9 RBI's. IIT won a few ball games this past week and moved to 9-27 overall and 5-15 in the NACC. 

Mitch Farris, Wingate (D2)

Farris swung the bat and pitched really well in the SAC tournament this past week for the Bulldogs. Farris went 7 for 22, hitting .318 with two doubles and 5 RBI's, and earned a win vs. Catawba tossing a complete game 9-inning shutout giving up only 3 hits while striking out 7. Wingate made it all the way to the SAC Championship game losing to Lenoir-Rhyne and ending the Bulldogs regular season with a 46-8 overall record. Wingate who was the #1 ranked team in all of D2 going in the conference tournament awaits their at-large bid into the NCAA tournament here soon. Farris finished the regular season with a 6-1 record on the mound with a 2.05 ERA with 3 saves in 44 innings of work with 55 strikeouts and only 12 walks. Farris also hit .359 on the year with 11 doubles, 3 triples, 9 homers and 48 RBI's. 

Brian Rapanan, MIT (D3)

Rapanan went 6 for 15, hitting .400 with past week with two doubles and 4 RBI's. Rapanan also picked up a save tossing 2 scoreless innings of relief giving up only 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 1. MIT beat WPI and Worcester State, swept Emerson, and lost twice to Southern Maine to finished the regular season 15-21-1 overall and 9-8 in the NEWMAC. Rapanan finished his freshman campaign hitting .250, and was 1-1 with 2 saves, an ERA of 4.97 in 29 innings of work with 24 strikeouts. 

Jake Lotz, Lewis (D2)

Lotz made one relief appearance this past weekend earning a save, tossing 3 scoreless innings giving up 0 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3. Lewis won 3 of 4 vs. Truman State to improve to 18-21-1 overall and 13-11 in the GLVC. 

Sam Antonacci, Heartland (JUCO)

Antonacci went 6 for 13, hitting 462 this past week with a double and 6 RBI's as the Hawks swept Lincoln Land and beat Triton and Kankakee. Heartland is now 40-8 overall and 28-0 in the MWAC.

Lucas Spence, Blackhawk (JUCO)

Spence went 9 for 26, hitting .346 with a homer, two triples, two doubles and collected 12 RBI's. Blackhawk won six games this past week to improve to 29-5 overall and 16-4 in the AAC. 

Angel Sandoval, St. Francis (NAIA)

Sandoval picked up a win and a save this past week. In his win Sandoval was dominant tossing 7 innings giving up only 1 earned run off 7 hits and 0 walks while striking out 4. St. Francis is now 28-25 overall on the year. 

Tommy Nelsen, Wisconsin-LaCrosse (D3)

Nelsen collected hits in every game this past week, going 8 for 25, hitting .320 with 5 RBI's. Wisconsin-LaCrosse beat Gustavus Aldophus (MN) in the midweek game and took 3 of 4 from Wisconsin-Oshkosh this weekend to improve to 20-14 overall and 14-10 in the WIAC. 

Cheorkee LeBeau, Lewis (D2)

LeBeau went 4 for 12, hitting .333 this past week with a double and 3 RBI's. The Flyers took 3 of 4 from Truman State and are 18-21-1 on the year. 

Will Gibbs, Olney Central (JUCO)

Gibbs went 4 for 9, hitting .444 with two doubles and 3 RBI's this past week as the Spartans split with Rend Lake and won 2 of 3 vs. Southwestern Illinois to improve to 30-21 overall and 13-14 in the GRAC. 

David Burch, Morton (JUCO)

Burch went 5 for 14, hitting .357 with two doubles and two RBI's as Morton beat Highland, split with Joliet and lost twice to Triton. Morton is 31-15 overall and 9-5 in the Illinos Skyway Conference. 

Brad White, South Suburban (JUCO)

White went 3 for 11 with an RBI this past week and made one relief appearance on the mound where he went 3 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 1. South Sub is 34-14 overall on the year.

Khyle Radcliffe, John A. Logan (JUCO)

Radcliffe went 3 for 10, hitting .300 this past week with two doubles as the Vols moved to 33-13 overall and 19-7 in the GRAC.

Michael Carey, Missouri Valley College (NAIA)

Carey collected 4 hits this past week with a double and 8 RBI's. Missouri Valley split with Grand View and split with Baker to finish the year 19-28 overall and 12-20  in the HACC.

Dylan Whitney, Johns Hopkins

Whitney collected 4 hits for the Blue Jays this past week with a triple and 2 RBI's. The Blue Jays beat Haverford twice and lost to Washington College twice to move to 20-17 overall and 10-8 in the Centennial.
