Weekly Top Tier Alumni Roundup for our NCAA Division II, III, NAIA & JUCO Players:


Player of the Week:

Jimmy Carey, INF/OF, St. Charles CC (JUCO)

Jimmy loves to hit baseballs hard as collected hits in all six games he played in this past week. He showed off his power at the plate going 9 for 21, hitting .429 with 2 homers, a double and collecting 6 RBI's. The Cougars beat East Central twice in the midweek games and took 3 of 4 games from St. Louis CC over the weekend to improve to 25-17 overall on the year.

Best of the Rest Highlights for our Division II, III, NAIA & JUCO players:

Tommy Nelsen, Wisconsin-LaCrosse (D3)

Nelsen collected hits in every game this past week going 8 for 17, hitting .471 with 4 doubles and 2 RBI's. Wisconsin-LaCrosse swept UW-Stout this past weekend and improved to 16-13 overall on the year. 

Luke Napleton, Quincy (D2)

Napleton continues to put up huge offensive numbers as he collected a hit in every game this past week going 6 for 16, hitting .375 with a homer, a double and collected 3 RBI's. Quincy won 3 of 4 games vs. Truman State this past weekend and improved to 22-18 overall on the year. 

Will Gibbs, Olney Central (JUCO)

Gibbs had a really good offensive week as he went 10 for 21, hitting .476 with a homer and 3 RBI's. Olney Central beat Rend Lake and Oakland City in the midweek games and won 2 of 3 vs. Southeastern Illinois this past weekend to improve to 26-19 overall on the year. 

Connor Blake, IIT (D3)

Blake went 8 for 21, hitting .471 this past week with a homer, a triple, two doubles and 8 RBI's. IIT however lost to Concordia-Chicago twice, lost to MSOE twice, lost to University of Chicago and split with Dominican to fall to 7-24 overall on the year. 

Brian Rapanan, MIT (D3)

Rapanan had a really good week for MIT as he went 2 for 3 with an RBI vs. WPI in the midweek game and he earned a save vs Babson over the weekend tossing 1.1 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. MIT lost 2 of 3 to Babson over the weekend and are 10-19-1 overall on the year. 

Austin Divello, Coe (D3)

Divello made two relief appearances this past week as he earned his 7th save of the year in one of the games. In total, Divello tossed 3 innings giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 3. Coe split with Luther in the midweek games and lost 2 of 3 to Loras over the weekend to fall to 16-15 overall on the year. 

Andy Booth, Saint Leo (D2)

Booth earned a win in relief vs. Embry-Riddle this past weekend as he tossed 3 scoreless innings giving up 2 hits and 0 walks while striking out 5. Saint Leo swept Embry-Riddle and improved to 30-14 overall on the year and Booth improved to 4-0 on the year. 

Khyle Radcliffe, John A. Logan (JUCO)

Radcliffe went 6 for 9, hitting .667 collecting 4 RBI's this past weekend as the Vols swept Lincoln Trail and improved to 30-12 overall on the year. 

Brad White, South Suburban (JUCO)

White went 5 for 12, hitting .417 with a homer, a double and collected 4 RBI's this past week. White also went one scoreless inning on the mound with one strikeout. South Suburban beat Waubonsee, Heartland and Highland twice, only losing to Kankakee this past week to improve to 29-12 overall on the year. 

David Burch, Morton (JUCO)

Burch went 4 for 10, hitting .400 with two doubles and 3 RBI's this past week ad Morton beat Prairie State twice and lost to McHenry twice to move to 25-12 overall on the year. 

Lucas Spence, Blackhawk (JUCO)

Spence went 10 for 25, hitting .400 with a double and collecting 5 RBI's. Blackhawk beat McHenry twice, split with Illinois Valley, lost to Madison twice and beat Carl Sandburg twice to move to 25-13 overall on the year. 

Tommy Egan, Iowa Western (JUCO)

Egan had another good start this past weekend vs. Des Moines Area where he tossed 3 innings giving up 1 earned run off 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6. Iowa Western split with Northeast and Indian Hills and swept Des Moines Area to improve to 36-8 overall on the year. 

Channing Young, St. Petersburg (JUCO)

Young took the loss in his start vs. Hillsborough this past weekend where he tossed 8 innings giving up only 3 runs off 5 hits and 4 walks while striking out 8. St. Petersburg finished the year 14-33 overall and Young finished the year 4-4 with a 4.46 ERA in 74.2 innings of work with 81 strikeouts. 

Sam Antonacci, Heartland (JUCO)

Antonacci went 7 for 18, hitting .389 this past weekend with two doubles and 2 RBI's as Heartland swept John Wood to improve to 33-8 overall on the year. 

Jake Lotz, Lewis (D2)

Lotz made 3 relief appearances this past week earning a win in one of those appearances. In total, Lotz threw 4.1 combined innings giving up only 1 run off 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5. Lewis beat UW-Parkside and swept Southern Indiana over the weekend to improve to 15-20-1 overall on the year. 

Armen Torosian, UIndy (D2)

Torosian went 3 for 8, hitting .375 with a triple and 4 RBI's this past weekend as UIndy lost 2 of 3 to Davenport and fell to 19-20 overall on the year. 

Tyler Preissing, Aurora (D3)

Preissing made two relief appearances this past week going 2 combined innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 4. Aurora lost to Benedictine twice, beat North Central, Concordia-Chicago and Lutheran this past week to improve to 24-7 overall on the year. 

Mitch Farris, Wingate (D2)

Farris earned his 3rd save of the year this past weekend going 2 innings of relief giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 0 walks while striking out 5. Wingate who is ranked #1 in Division 2 baseball lost to UNC-Pembroke, beat Mt. Olive in the midweek games and swept Mars Hill to finish the regular season with a 42-6 overall record. Farris finished the regular season with a .367 average with 9 doubles, 3 triples, 9 homers and 43 RBI's. On the mound, Farris was 5-1 with 3 saves had a 2.57 ERA in 35 innings of work with 48 strikeouts. 

Robert Chayka, Kentucky Wesleyan (D2)

Chayka collected 4 hits this past week with a homer, a double and an RBI. Kenucky Wesleyan beat Southern Indiana in the midweek game and lost 3 of 4 to Tiffin over the weekend to fall to 17-24 overall on the year. 

Collin Callahan, Carthage (D3)

Callahan collected 5 hits this past week with a double as Carthage beat Concordia-Wisconsin and beat Elmhurst 2 of 3 over the weekend to improve to 10-22 overall. 

Dylan Whitney, Johns Hopkins (D3)

Whitney collected 4 hits this past week with an RBI as the Blue Jays split with McDaniel and lost two to Muhlenberg to fall to 18-15 overall on the year. 

Joel Sarver, Northwest Florida State (JUCO)

Sarver made two appearances this past week. Sarver took the loss in his start vs. Tallahassee where he went 6 innings giving up 3 runs off 7 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4. Then he got to come in relief in their regular season finale vs. Chipola where he went 1.2 scoreless innings giving up only 1 hit and 0 walks while striking out 2. The Raiders split with Pensacola and Tallahassee and lost both to Chipola to finish the regular season at 30-20 overall. Sarver finished the regular season with a 5-4 record with a 4.06 ERA in 62 innings with 72 strikeouts.
