Player of the Week:


Luke Napleton,
C, Quincy (D2)
Napleton continues to be the hottest hitter in all on Division 2 college baseball as he collected a hit in all 5 games he played in this past week. Napleton was on fire at the plate going 9 for 19, hitting .474 with 4 homers, 3 doubles and collecting 12 RBI's. The Hawks beat Central Missouri in the midweek game and swept Drury over the weekend to improve to 36-9 overall and 23-5 in the GLVC. On the year, Napleton is leading the team in almost every offensive category as he is hitting .394 with 15 doubles, 26 homeruns, 77 RBI's and a slugging % of .937.

Mitch Farris
, LHP/OF, Wingate (D2)
Farris continues to be the most dominate pitcher is all of Division 2 Baseball. This week would be more of the same for the southpaw along with being very good at the plate as well in the SAC tournament. In the opening round game of their conference tournament vs. Anderson, Farris earned the win throwing a complete game 9-inning shutout giving up only 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 9. Farris also went 7 for 16, hitting .438 with 2 homers, a double and 11 RBI's in his DH role as well in the tournament. But it wasn't enough as they lost to Lincoln Memorial to get knocked out and finish the year 32-18 overall and ranked 21st in the nation. Wingate will wait to see if they get an at-large bid into the NCAA D2 Regionals soon. Farris finished the year as SAC Pitcher of the Year after earning a 1.21 ERA on the year going 11-1 in 89 innings with 127 strikeouts and only 16 walks. 


Nick Giamarusti, OF, John A. Logan (JUCO)
Giamarusti collected a hit in every game this past week, going 7 for 15, hitting .467 with 3 homers, 3 doubles and 5 RBI's. The Vols split with Lincoln Trail in the midweek games and swept Shawnee over the weekend to improve to 36-14 overall. 


Sam Antonacci, INF, Heartland (JUCO)
Antonacci was a machine at the plate this past week, going 11 for 23, hitting .478 with 6 doubles and 10 RBI's Heartland beat Rock Valley twice in the midweek games and swept Danville over the weekend to improve to an impressive 46-4 overall on the year. 


Noah Jouras, C, Triton (JUCO)
Jouras went 9 for 16, hitting .563 this past week with 3 doubles and 4 RBI's for the Trojans. Triton went 4-1 this past week to improve to 31-18 overall. 


Luke Brabham, INF, Morton (JUCO)
Brabham went 8 for 17, hitting .471 with a homer, a double and 4 RBI's. Morton went 3-1 this past week to improve to 31-19 overall on the year. 


Jeremy Fox, RHP, Morton (JUCO)
Fox threw really well vs. Saux Valley this past week earning the win tossing 5 scoreless innings giving up 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6. Morton is 31-19 overall on the year.


Logan Peterson, RHP, UIndy (D2)
Peterson earned a win in his start vs. Rockhurst going 7 innings giving up only 1 run off 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 11. UIndy beat Kentucky Wesleyan in the midweek game and swept Rockhurst over the weekend to improve to 29-16 overall and 14-14 in the GLVC.


Adam Bendoraitis, RHP, Augustana (D3)
Bendoraitis made one relief appearance this past week, tossing 4 scoreless innings giving up only 1 hit and 0 walks while striking out 9. Augustana won all 4 games they played in this week to improve to 31-6 overall. 


Connor Blake, INF, IIT (D3)
Blake went 5 for 11, hitting .455 with a homer, a triple and an RBI this past week. IIT split with Rockford and lost to University of Chicago to fall to 17-17 overall on the year. 


Nick Talarico, INF, Case Western Reserve (D3)
Talarico went 8 for 16, hitting .500 this past week with 2 doubles, a triple and 4 RBI's. The Spartans won all 4 games this past week and improved to 26-12 overall on the year. 


Brad White, OF, South Suburban (JUCO)
White went 7 for 17, hitting .412 with a double and 4 RBI's. The Bulldogs won all 5 games this past week and improved to 35-17 overall. 


Kevin Dowling, OF, Saint Xavier (NAIA)
Dowling went 6 for 15, hitting .400 this past week with 5 RBI's. The Cougars beat Olivet Nazarene in the midweek game and won 2 of 3 vs. Trinity Christian over the weekend to improve to 25-24 overall and 17-10 in the CCAC. Saint Xavier with play Olivet Nazarene in the first round of the CCAC playoffs this week. 


Nate Maliska, 1B, Saint Francis (NAIA)
Maliska went 7 for 19, hitting .368 with a double and 4 RBI's. Saint Francis beat IU-South Bend in the midweek game and swept Olivet Nazarene over the weekend to improve to 24-24 overall and 19-8 in the CCAC. Saint Francis will play Calumet College of Saint Joseph in the first round of the CCAC Tournament this week. 


Colin Callahan, INF, Carthage (D3)
Callahan went 6 for 16, hitting .375 with two doubles and 3 RBI's. Carthage continues to struggle though as they lost 3 of 4 this past weekend to fall to 8-25 overall on the year. 


Vito Valincius, INF/OF, John A. Logan (JUCO)
Valincius went 6 for 18, hitting .333 this past week with 2 homers, a double and 6 RBI's. The Vols won 4 of 5 games this past week to improve to 36-14 overall. 


Joe Evans, LHP, Morton (JUCO)
Evans earned a win in relief this past week vs. Kankakee tossing 3 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 4. Morton is 31-19 overall on the year. 


Hunter Keim, RHP, Saint Ambrose (NAIA)
Keim made two relief appearances this past week throwing a total of 2 innings giving up 0 runs off 0 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. St. Ambrose went 2-1-1 this past week and are 23-23-1 overall and 18-8-1 in the CCAC. St. Ambrose will face Roosevelt in the first round of the CCAC Tournament this week. 


Colin Husko, INF, University of Dubuque (D3)
Husko went 3 for 8, hitting .375 this past weekend as they beat North Park and split with Wash U to move to 24-11 overall on the year. 


Evan Eberle, RHP, Concordia Saint-Paul (D2)
Eberle got his 1st collegiate start this past week vs. St. Olaf where he went 2 innings giving up 0 earned runs off 2 hits while striking out 2. The Golden Bears however lost all 4 games this past week and are 16-24 overall on the year. 


Tyler Preissing, RHP, Aurora (D3)
Preissing made one relief appearance this past week tossing 2 scoreless innings giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 3. Aurora who is ranked 8th in the nation beat Millikin i the midweek game and Dominican twice to move to 29-3 overall. 


Angelo Luna, OF, Parkland (JUCO)
Luna went 2 for 7 this past week with a double and 3 RBI's to help the Cobras win 3 of 4 vs. Lincoln Land CC. Parkland is now 38-10 overall on the year. 


Jacob Bosse, LHP, South Suburban (JUCO)
Bosse went 4.1 innings in his start this past weekend giving up 4 runs off 3 hits and 5 walks with 9 strikeouts. St. Ambrose finished the year 23-23-1 overall and will face Roosevelt in the first round of the CCAC playoffs this week. 


Nick Baldassano, INF, Aurora (D3)
Baldassano went 2 for 4 with an RBI this past week for the 8th ranked Aurora squad. Aurora won all three games and improved to 29-3 overall. 


Brennan Fisher, 1B, Benedictine (D3)
Fisher collected 5 hits this past week with 3 RBI's. The Eagles went 4-1 this past week to improve to 24-10 overall on the year. 


Colton Karczewski, RHP, University of Dubuque (D3)
Karczewski made one relief appearance vs. Wash U this past weekend tossing one scoreless inning giving up 1 hit and striking out 1. Dubuque is 24-11 overall on the year. 


Jorge Vazquez, INF/RHP, Triton (JUCO)
Vazquez went 2 for 4 with an RBI this past weekend. The Trojans are 31-18 overall on they year. 


AJ Casmer, RHP, Lewis (D2)
Casmer made one relief appearance this past week going 1 inning giving up 0 runs off 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 1. Lewis beat Purdue NW and lost to Parkland in the midweek games and then swept Southwest Baptist over the weekend to improve to 28-18 overall and 19-9 in the GLVC.


Dylan Whitney, INF, Johns Hopkins (D3)
Whitney collected 2 hits and 2 RBI's this past week for the #1 ranked team in Division 3 Johns Hopkins. They won all 4 games this past week and improved to 36-3 to finish off the regular season.
