Weekly Top Tier Alumni Roundup for our NCAA Division II, III, NAIA & JUCO Players:


Player of the Week:

Sam Antonacci, Heartland (JUCO)


Antonacci continues to mash baseballs for the Hawks as he went 6 for 14, hitting .429 this past week with two more homers, two doubles and collected 10 RBI's. Heartland swept Vincennes to improve to 29-7 overall on the year. Antonacci is hitting .449 for the year with 12 doubles, 5 triples, 12 homers and 40 RBI's. 

Best of the Rest Highlights for our Division II, III, NAIA & JUCO players:

Connor Blake, IIT (D3)

Blake was on absolute different planet this past week in the three games that IIT got in due to all the rain. Blake went 9 for 16, hitting .563 with a homer, two triples, two doubles and collected 9 RBI's. IIT lost to Wheaton once and beat Marian twice this past week to improve to 6-18 overall on the year. 

Tommy Egan, Iowa Western (JUCO)

Egan continues to get better every start he toes it up on the mound for the Reviers. Egan earned another win vs. Iowa Central this past weekend where he tossed 5 innings in his start giving up 0 runs off only 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 8. Iowa Western beat Indian Hills twice in the midweek games and swept Iowa Central over the weekend to improve to 31-6 overall on the year. 

Mitch Farris, Wingate (D2)

Farris once again had a very impressive week both on the mound and at the plate. On the mound he picked up a win in relief vs. Belmont Abbey where he tossed 2 scoreless innings giving up only 2 hits and 0 walks while striking out 2. At the plate, Farris went 8 for 22, hitting .364 this past week with another homer, two triples, two doubles and collected 8 RBI's. Wingate the 2nd ranked team in the nation in D2 beat Belmont Abbey and Erskine in the midweek games and swept Tusculum over the weekend to improve to 38-5 overall on the year. Farris is 5-1 on the mound and is hitting .398 with 9 doubles, 3 triples, 9 homers and 40 RBI's. 

Robert Chayka, Kentucky Wesleyan (D2)

Chayka had a great week at the plate going 8 for 22, hitting .364 with 3 doubles and 4 RBI's. Kentucky Wesleyan lost twice to UIndy in the midweek games and swept Malone over the weekend to improve 16-21 overall this year. 

Nick Talarico, Case Western Reserve (D3)

Talarico was very impressive at the plate this past week going 7 for 19, hitting .368 with a homer, a double and collected 5 RBI's. Case Western lost to Wooster and beat Adrian in th  midweek games and won 3 of 4 vs. New York University to improve to 18-15 overall on the year. 

Tommy Nelsen, Wisconsin-LaCrosse (D3)

Nelsen collected a hit in every game this past week going 7 for 19, hitting .368 with 3 doubles and 2 RBI's. They got swept by 11th ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater this past weekend and fell to 12-13 overall on the year. 

Joel Sarver, Northwest Florida State (JUCO)

Sarver earned a win this past week in his start vs. Gulf Coast State where he tossed 7 innings giving up only 1 earned run off 7 hits and 1 walk while striking out 8. They split with Gulf Coast State and are 28-17 overall on the year. 

Austin Divello, Coe (D3)

Divello earned his 6th save of the year vs. Simpson this past weekend where he tossed 3 scoreless innings giving up 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4. Coe however lost 2 of 3 vs. Simpson and are 14-12 overall on the year. 

Luke Napleton, Quincy (D2)

Napleton put up huge power numbers again this past weekend going 4 for 13 with 3 homers, a triple and collecting 5 RBI's. The Hawks however lost 3 of 4 vs. UIndy this past weekend and fell to 18-16 overall on the year. Napleton is hitting .331 on the year with 13 homers and 41 RBI's. 

Jacob Bosse, South Suburban (JUCO)

Bosse earned a win in his start vs. Parkland this past week tossing 7 innings giving up 0 runs off only 2 hits and 5 walks while striking out 4. South Sub won every game this past week beating Parkland, Triton and Morton in the midweek games and beating Blackhawk and Olive Harvey twice over the weekend to improve to 25-11 overall on the year. 

Nick Villasenor, St. Francis (NAIA)

Villasenor earned a win in his start vs. Trinity Christian this past week tossing 5 innings giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 0 walks while striking out 3. St. Francis beat Trinity twice and swept Lincoln to improve to 22-21 overall on the year. 

Brandon Bennitt, IIT (D3)

Bennitt went 5 for 13, hitting .385 this past week with two doubles and 4 RBI's. IIT lost Wheaton and beat Marian twice to move to 6-18 overall on the year. 

Cole Anderson, Maryville (D2)

Anderson earned his 1st collegiate win this past week in relief vs. Missouri S&T after he tossed 3 scoreless innings giving up 3 hits and 5 walks while striking out 4. Maryville beat Missouri S&T in the midweek game and won 3 of 4 vs. McKendree to improve to 21-16 overall on the year. 

Lucas Spence, Blackhawk (JUCO)

Spence earned his 1st collegiate win vs. Heartland this past week tossing 6.1 innings giving up 5 runs off 7 hits and 5 walks while striking out 9. Spence went 7 for 13, hitting .538 this past week with a double and 2 RBI's as well.

Andy Booth, Saint Leo (D2)

Booth made one relief appearance this past week vs. Florida Tech where he went 3 innings giving up 0 runs off only 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 2. Saint Leo beat Florida Tech and moved to 27-14 overall and are ranked 14th in the nation in D2. 

Dylan Whitney, Johns Hopkins (D3)

Whitney went 5 for 13, hitting .385 this past week with a homer and 2 RBI's as the Blue Jays split with Gettysburg and beat Franklin and Marshall twice to move to 17-12 overall on the year. 

Collin Callahan, Carthage (D3)

Callahan went 4 for 13 this past week with a double and 5 RBI's. Carthage lost to North Park in the midweek game and lost 2 of 3 to Wheaton over the weekend to fall to 7-20 overall on the year. 

Michael Carey, Missouri Valley (NAIA)

Carey went 5 for 15, hitting .333 as Missouri Valley split with Evangel and are 14-23 overall on the year. 

Will Gibbs, Olney Central (JUCO)

Gibbs went 5 for 13, hitting .385 with an RBI as they beat Lakeland twice but got swept by Wabash Valley to move to 22-18 overall on the year. 

David Burch, Morton (JUCO)

Burch went 11 for 29, hitting .379 with a double and 9 RBI's. Morton beat Moraine Valley twice, split with Elgin, split with Oakton and lost to South Suburban and Kankakee to move to 24-10 overall on the year. 

Brad White, South Suburban (JUCO)

White collected 6 hits this past week as they won every game they played in this past week to improve to 25-11 overall on the year. 

Jimmy Carey, St. Charles (JUCO)

Carey went 4 for 7 this past week as they got swept by Crowder and fell to 20-16 overall on the year.

Peyton Olejnik, Triton (JUCO)

Olejnik went 3.2 innings in his start vs. College of DuPage this past week giving up 0 earned runs off 2 hits and 4 walks while striking out 4. Triton lost to South Sub, beat Harper and beat College of DuPage twice to improve to 13-13 overall on the year. 

Nick Baldassano, Aurora (D3)

Baldassano collected 3 hits with 3 RBI's this past week as Aurora beat MSOE twice and Lakeland twice, while only losing to Webster. Aurora is 19-5 overall on the year. 

Will Melby, Triton (JUCO)

Melby made one relief appearance this past week vs. College of DuPage where he tossed 2.1 scoreless innings giving up 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. Triton is 13-13 overall on the year. 

Brett Taucher, Quincy (D2)

Taucher made one relief appearance this past week vs UIndy where he tossed one scoreless inning giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 2. Quincy is 18-16 overall on the year. 

AJ Casmer, Lewis (D2)

Casmer made one relief appearance this past week vs. UIS where he tossed one scoreless inning giving up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 1. Lewis got swept by UIS and are 10-20-1 overall on the year. 

Tyler Preissing, Aurora (D3)

Preissing made one relief appearance this past week tossing one scoreless inning giving up 0 hits and 3 walks while striking out 2. Aurora is 19-5 overall on the year.
